Instanton Correction of Prepotential in Ruijsenaars Model Associated with N=2 SU(2) Seiberg-Witten Theory
Instanton correction of prepotential of one-dimensional SL(2) Ruijsenaars
model is presented with the help of Picard-Fuchs equation of Pakuliak-Perelomov
type. It is shown that the instanton induced prepotential reduces to that of
the SU(2) gauge theory coupled with a massive adjoint hypermultiplet.Comment: revtex, 15 pages, to be published in Journal of Mathematical Physic
Spin gap of the three-leg S=3/2 Heisenberg tube
The ground-state properties of the three-leg S=3/2 Heisenberg tube are
studied using the density-matrix renormalization group method. We find that the
spin-excitation gap associated with a spontaneous dimerization opens for the
whole coupling regime, as seen in the three-leg S=1/2 Heisenberg tube. However,
in contrast to the case of S=1/2 tube, the gap increases very slowly with
increasing the rung coupling and its size is only a few % or less of the leg
exchange interaction in the weak- and intermediate-coupling regimes. We thus
argue that, unless the rung coupling is substantially larger than the leg
coupling, the gap may be quite hard to be observed experimentally. We also
calcuate the quantized Berry phase to show that there exist three kinds of
valence-bond-solid states depending on the ratio of leg and rung couplings.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
Ground-state phase diagram of the one-dimensional dimerized t-J model at quarter filling
The ground state of the one-dimensional dimerized model at quarter
filling is studied by a Lanczos exact-diagonalization technique on small
clusters. We calculate the charge gap, spin gap, binding energy,
Tomonaga-Luttinger-liquid parameter, Drude weight, anomalous flux quantization,
etc. We thereby show that the two types of dimerization, i.e., a dimerization
of hopping integral and a dimerization of exchange interaction play a mutually
competing role in controlling the ground state of the system and this leads to
the emergence of various phases including the Mott insulating,
Tomonaga-Luttinger-liquid, and Luther-Emery-liquid phases. The ground-state
phase diagram of the model is given on the parameter space of the
dimerizations.Comment: 7 pages with 9 figures. Figures will be sent by mail upon reques

Exact Charged 2-Body Motion and the Static Balance Condition in Lineal Gravity
We find an exact solution to the charged 2-body problem in
dimensional lineal gravity which provides the first example of a relativistic
system that generalizes the Majumdar-Papapetrou condition for static balance.Comment: latex,7 pages, 2 figure
