Influence of compression time on scroll vacuum pump power characteristics

Analysis of influence of scroll vacuum pump end section parameters on its power characteristics is carried out with the help of mathematical model. Dependence of indicated power on vacuum inlet pressure is obtained for a different number of scroll wraps and compression time. It is shown that the increase of compression time does not result in considerable increase of indicated power in high pressures range but results in power decrease in low pressures range
