AN APPROACH TOWARDS HOLISTIC ASSESSMENT OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACTS

This thesis uses the case study of the Fallas festival in the city of Valencia (Spain), to assess the value of intangible cultural heritage. Within this framework the thesis explores a number of different issues: for example how social agents frame different qualities and benefits of cultural heritage in order to describe the value and claims for funding the arts. It finds that value assessment for claiming funds presents many challenges such as: identifying the values of the heritage in question; describing them; and ranking them according to their contribution to the public welfare. It examines the methodological techniques for assessing heritage values and goes on to discuss a number of tools that are, or could be, used for assessment. The thesis also explores how public bodies legitimise cultural funding. It examines the role of non-government arts organisations in supporting the arts. It proposes the analysis of donor decisions through a multi-attribute technique where donors state their importance to donor situations under specific conditions or attributes. Finally, it describes how the stakeholder approach can be applied for searching new ways of funding festivals. It also considers how intangible cultural heritage goods can be assessed within the process of cost-benefit evaluation. It also analyses how public bodies, as the principal supporters of culture, deal with the problem of valuing intangibles on social investments. The study uses the Fallas festival to test the research hypothesis. It uses a number of economic and statistical techniques to evaluate the Fallas Festival, these include Contingent Valuation, Choice Experiment and Descriptive and Multiatribute Statistics. The statistical techniques reveal that historical benefits are intrinsically valuable in the Fallas festival. The historical value that the members of the neighbourhood associations place on the Fallas festival justify that local social agents should support this festival.Sánchez Royo, B. (2011). The methyl–amide complex [TaCp*(NtBu)Me(NMe2)] (1a) was isolated by reaction of the chloro–methyl [TaCp*(NtBu)MeCl] complex with LiNMe2. Reaction of the mono-amide compounds [TaCp*(NtBu)XY] (X=NMe2, Y=Me (1a); X=NHtBu, Y=Me (1b), Cl (1c)) with CO2 gives the η2-carbamate derivatives [TaCp*(NtBu)(η2-O2CX)Y] (X=NMe2, Y=Me (2a); X=NHtBu, Y=Me (2b), Cl (2c)). A similar reaction with the di-amide complex [TaCp*(NtBu)(NHtBu)2] (1d) gives the di-carbamate derivative [TaCp*(NtBu){η2-O2C(NHtBu)}{η1-O2C(NHtBu)] (2d). Reaction of the methyl–carbamate (2a) with isocyanide CNAr (Ar=2,6-Me2C6H3) gives the η2-iminoacyl–η1-carbamate complex [TaCp*(NtBu){η2-C(Me)NAr}{η1-O2C(NMe2)] (3a). Formation of the related compound [TaCp*(NtBu){η2-C(Me)NAr}{η1-O2C(NHtBu)}] (3b) was only detected by NMR spectroscopy in C6D6 or CDCl3 whereas the reaction of 2b in hexane gives the η1-iminoacyl–η2-carbamate complex [TaCp*(NtBu){η1-C(Me)NAr}{η2-O2C(NHtBu)}] (3b′). All of the new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopy

Reactions of [TaCp*Cl4] with two, three and four equivalents of LiNHt Bu give the halo- and amido-imido complexes [TaCp*Cl2(Nt Bu)] (1a), [TaCp*Cl(Nt Bu)(NHt Bu)] (2) and [TaCp*(Nt Bu)(NHt Bu)2] (3), respectively. The related complex [TaCp*Cl2{N(2,6-Me2C6H3)}] (1b) is prepared by a similar reaction using two equivalents of Li[NH(2,6-Me2C6H3)]. Complex 3 can be transformed into 2 and further into 1a by reaction with SiClMe3. Complex 1a reacts with CNt Bu to give the 18-electron adduct [TaCp*Cl2(Nt Bu)(CNt Bu)] (4) whereas addition of excess CN(2,6-Me2C6H3) results in reductive elimination of the carbodiimide t BuN C N(2,6-Me2C6H3) (5) to give [TaCp*Cl2{CN(2,6-Me2C6H3)}3]. However complex 1b does not react with any of the isocyanide ligands. Both complexes 1a and 1b react with PhCHO undergoing imido/oxo exchange to give the imines PhCH NR (R=t Bu, 2,6-Me2C6H3 (6)) and dimeric [TaCp*Cl2(O)]2 or trimeric [(TaCp*Cl)3(m2-Cl)(m2-O)3(m3-O)] oxo-complexes, whereas only 1a reacts with CO2, PhCH NR% (R%=Ph, Me) and (2,6-Me2C6H3)N C Nt Bu producing t BuN CO, PhCH Nt Bu and t BuN C Nt Bu, respectively and the corresponding oxo or imido tantalum derivative. None of the complexes reacts with CO or NCR (R=Me, Ph). The complex [TaCp*Me(Nt Bu)(NHt Bu)] activates C–H bonds when heated in benzene and toluene affording [TaCp*Ph(Nt Bu)(NHt Bu)] (7) and a mixture of [TaCp*(m-MeC6H4)(Nt Bu)(NHt Bu)] 8a and [TaCp*(pMeC6H4)(Nt Bu)(NHt Bu)] (8b). All of the reported organic compounds and tantalum complexes were characterized by 1 H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopyThe authors acknowledge DGICYT (project PB97-0776) for financial support and J.S.N. acknowledges MEC for a fellowship

Los derechos on-line en el ordenamiento laboral español : estado de la cuestión

    Get PDF
Online rights are a legal category of recent creation, that includes diverse rights related to the use of TIC in the company. Among these, rights of access and privacy can be found. One of the trade unions priorities is the recognition and legal protection of these rights, for which they have taken a series of different types of initiatives. These right’s situation in the Spanish legal order are quite poor, and neither the positive law nor the labour jurisprudence have been able to provide them with a valid treatment. Only the collective negotiation has been able to give some answers to the accessibility and privacy issues, although in a limited way and in a small number of agreements

Industry 4.0 is changing the industrial environment. Particularly, the emerging Industry 4.0 technologies can improve the agri-food supply chain throughout all its stages. This study aims to highlight the benefits of implementing Industry 4.0 in the agri-food supply chain. First, it presents how technologies enhance the agri-food supply chain development. Then, it identifies and highlights the most common challenges that Industry 4.0 implementation faces in agri-food’s environment. After that, it proposes key performance indicators to measure the advantages of this implementation. To achieve this, a systematic literature review was conducted. It combined conceptual and bibliometric analyses of 78 papers. As a result, the most suitable technologies were identified, e.g., Internet of Things, Big Data, blockchain and cyber physical systems. The most used indicators are proposed and the challenges of implementation were detected and classified in three groups, i.e., technical, educational and governmental. This paper highlights and exemplifies the benefits of implementing Industry 4.0 facing the lack of knowledge that exists nowadays. Moreover, it fulfils the gaps in literature, i.e., the lack of information about the implementation of technologies 4.0 or the description of the most relevant indicators for Industry 4.0 implementation. © 2021 by the authors. In this work, we present a fully differential transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with controllable transimpedance for use in RF overlay downstream communication systems. The transimpedance amplifier has been designed in a standard 180-nm CMOS technology and it is intended for 47 MHz to 870 MHz subcarrier multiplexed RF signals. It performs a 18 dBΩ transimpedance gain control range for extended optical input range from -6 dBm up to +2 dBm

    High-sensitivity large-area photodiode read-out using a divide-and-conquer technique

    Get PDF
In this letter, we present a novel technique to increase the sensitivity of optical read-out with large integrated photodiodes (PD). It consists of manufacturing the PD in several pieces, instead of a single device, and connecting a dedicated transimpedance amplifier (TIA) to each of these pieces. The output signals of the TIAs are combined, achieving a higher signal-to-noise ratio than with the traditional approach. This work shows a remarkable improvement in the sensitivity and transimpedance without the need for additional modifications or compensation techniques. As a result, an increase in sensitivity of 7.9 dBm and transimpedance of 8.7 dBO for the same bandwidth is achieved when dividing the photodiode read-out into 16 parallel paths. The proposed divide-and-conquer technique can be applied to any TIA design, and it is also independent of the core amplifier structure and fabrication process, which means it is compatible with every technology allowing the integration of PDs

Análisis de operatividad y comportamiento de la tecnología RFID UHF en diferentes metales

    Get PDF

El GE y el GC incrementan el porcentaje de grasa corporalThe aim of this study is to check the effect of a specific training strength program on young footballers. 38 players took place in the study; they were divided into an experimental group (EG) and a control group (CG). The EG added a specific strength work to their football workout, whereas the CG just practised football. Both of them were assessed at the beginning and at the end of the program to know their maximum dynamic strength in their flexor and extensor muscles of their knees; their muscle mass in their lower extremities; their body mass and fat percentage; and their speed in the 10 and 20 metres trials. Just the EG improves remarkably their maximum dynamic strength … No differences in their muscle mass or in their movement strength are found. The EG and the CG increase their MBRate and their body fa
