èŠæ§ã瀺åããããThe aim of this study was to investigate the psychosocial status of nursing college students regarding their anxiety, training motivation, training expectations, communication skills, and social support, prior to the start of their clinical practical training, and the relationships between these variables, in order to provide useful guidance information for instructors. To achieve this, we had 85 nursing students complete a paper questionnaire at the newly established University A, and uncovered the following findings;(1)Students\u27 state and trait anxiety were both high before training commencement. (2)Training motivation was moderate, whereas training expectations were high. (3)In terms of the students\u27 communication skills, their âacceptance of othersâ and âdecoding abilityâ were noticeably high, while âexpressive abilityâ and âassertivenessâ were low. (4)Students perceived themselves to be receiving social support. (5) Psychosocial variables were observed to be mutually related. In particular, trait anxiety, which itself was found to be related to state anxiety, exhibited negative correlations with the communication skills of âself-controlâ and ârelational maintenanceâ. This implied that high-anxiety individuals may have weak emotional control and struggle to convey their feelings to others.The above findings suggested the necessity for instructors to connect particularly with high-anxiety students, and provide assistance to these students in improving their communication skills so that they are able to be more assertive

èŠæ§ã瀺åããããA questionnaire survey was conducted with nursing students of a certain university before and after nursing student\u27s clinical practicum in order to clarify the relationships among anxiety (STAI), sense of accomplishment, and self-efficacy(GSES: Proactive behavior, Fear of failure) in nursing practice.The following results were obtained. (1) Before the practicum, the high score cases of state anxiety were 25.6%, and the specially high score cases of state anxiety were 69.4%. (2) After the practicum, the high score cases of state anxiety were 28.6%, and the specially high score cases of state anxiety were 24.5%. (3) The mean value of the pre-practicum state anxiety significantly decreased than that of the post-practicum state anxiety. (4) After the practicum, between the state anxiety and "Sense of accomplishment", between the state anxiety and "Proactive behavior (GSES)", and between "Proactive behavior (GSES)" and "Fear of failure (GSES)", significant correlations were found respectively.A significant correlation was observed between post-practicum state anxiety and "Sense of accomplishment", post-practicum state anxiety and "Proactive behavior (GSESïŒ", "Proactive behavior (GSESïŒ" and "Fear of failure (GSES)".The above results indicate a post-practicum reduction in the pre-practicum high state anxiety in nursing students. Also the low state anxiety score indicates that students at the post-practicum tend to be high self-efficacy and the sense of accomplishment.The current results are indicative of the importance of educational support to nursing students that increases sense of accomplishment and self-efficacy in nursing practice obtained through clinical practicum
