    Calculation of static transmission errors associated with thermo-elastic coupling contacts of spur gears

    The static transmission error is one of the key incentives of gear dynamics and addressed by many scholars. However, the traditional calculation method of static transmission errors of spur gears does not take into account the influence of thermo-elastic coupling caused by the gear temperature field, and it limits the accuracy of the dynamic characteristic analysis. Thus, in this study, the calculation method of static transmission errors associated with thermo-elastic coupling is proposed. Furthermore, the differences between static transmission errors associated with thermo-elastic coupling contacts and traditional method of gear is discussed. The study is helpful to improve the accuracy of dynamic analysis of gear transmission system

    Effect predictions of star pinion geometry phase adjustments on dynamic load sharing behaviors of differential face gear trains

    Face gear drives, which are suggested to be used in input stage gear drives of helicopter main gear boxes, are focused by many scholars. However, differential face gear trains, which can be employed in output stage gear drives of coaxial helicopter main gear boxes, are not to be addressed by researchers, and dynamic load sharing design solutions of differential face gear trains are yet to be investigated. Thus, in the study, a star pinion geometry phase adjustment solution, which is not to change drive ratios of differential face gear trains versus traditional geometry parameter adjustment solutions, is proposed, and a six DOF torsion dynamic model associated with four star pinions is established. Furthermore, dynamic load sharing behaviors of two version differential face gear trains are discussed, and the effects of star pinion geometry phase adjustments on two version differential face gear trains are predicted. The analytic results indicate the effects of the proposed star pinion geometry phase adjustments on dynamic load sharing behaviors of two version differential face gear trains are significant. These contributions would benefit to improve dynamic load sharing designs and engineering applications of differential face gear trains in the future

    Modeling and dynamic analysis of spiral bevel gear coupled system of intermediate and tail gearboxes in a helicopter.

    The coupled dynamic model of the intermediate and tail gearboxes’ spiral bevel gear-oblique tail shaft-laminated membrane coupling was established by employing the hybrid modeling method of finite element and lumped mass. Among them, the dynamic equation of the shaft was constructed by Timoshenko beam; spiral bevel gears were derived theoretically by the lumped-mass method, where the effects of time-varying meshing stiffness, transmission error, external imbalance excitation and the like were considered simultaneously; laminated membrane coupling was simplified to a lumped parameter model, in which the stiffness was obtained by the finite element simulation and experiment. On this basis, the laminated membrane coupling and effects of several important parameters, including the unbalance value, tail rotor excitation, oblique tail shaft’s length and transmission error amplitude, on the system’s dynamic characteristics were discussed. The results showed that the influences of laminated membrane coupling and transmission error amplitude on the coupled system’s vibration response were prominent, which should be taken into consideration in the dynamic model. Due to the bending-torsional coupled effect, the lateral vibration caused by gear eccentricity would enlarge the oblique tail shaft’s torsional vibration; similarly, the tail rotor’s torsional excitation also varies the lateral vibration of the oblique tail shaft. The coupled effect between the eccentricity of gear pairs mainly hit the torsional vibration. Also, as the oblique tail shaft’s length increased, the torsional vibration of the oblique tail shaft tended to diminish while the axis orbit became larger. The research provides theoretical support for the design of the helicopter tail transmission system

    Efficient Lattice-Based Zero-Knowledge Arguments with Standard Soundness: Construction and Applications

    We provide new zero-knowledge argument of knowledge systems that work directly for a wide class of language, namely, ones involving the satisfiability of matrix-vector relations and integer relations commonly found in constructions of lattice-based cryptography. Prior to this work, practical arguments for lattice-based relations either have a constant soundness error ( 2/3 ), or consider a weaker form of soundness, namely, extraction only guarantees that the prover is in possession of a witness that “approximates” the actual witness. Our systems do not suffer from these limitations. The core of our new argument systems is an efficient zero-knowledge argument of knowledge of a solution to a system of linear equations, where variables of this solution satisfy a set of quadratic constraints. This argument enjoys standard soundness, a small soundness error ( 1/poly ), and a complexity linear in the size of the solution. Using our core argument system, we construct highly efficient argument systems for a variety of statements relevant to lattices, including linear equations with short solutions and matrix-vector relations with hidden matrices. Based on our argument systems, we present several new constructions of common privacy-preserving primitives in the standard lattice setting, including a group signature, a ring signature, an electronic cash system, and a range proof protocol. Our new constructions are one to three orders of magnitude more efficient than the state of the art (in standard lattice). This illustrates the efficiency and expressiveness of our argument system

    Experimental and numerical investigation of rubber damping ring and its application in multi-span shafting

    A new approach for establishing the mechanical model of the rubber damping ring was studied numerically and experimentally. Firstly, parameters of Mooney–Rivlin and Prony series models of the rubber material were identified based on ISIGHT integrating with ANSYS and MATLAB, in which the rubber damping ring’s hysteresis loop was obtained by vibration experiment and ANSYS simulation, respectively; meanwhile, the dynamic stiffness and damping were calculated simultaneously by a parameter separation and identification method. Subsequently, the accuracy of the constitutive model parameters was verified experimentally. In the light of this, based on the experimental design and the approximate model method of the joint simulation platform, a mechanical model of dynamic stiffness and damping of the rubber damping ring was established. Finally, the rubber damping ring’s mathematical model was employed to perform a vibration reduction analysis in a multi-span shafting, where the numerical and experimental investigation was conducted, respectively. The results show that the theoretical and experimental error of vibration reduction rate is less than 17%, which verifies the accuracy of the mechanical model of the rubber damping ring

    Study of the mass balance, biotransformation and safety of [14C]SHR8554, a novel ÎĽ-opioid receptor injection, in healthy Chinese subjects

    Background: SHR8554 is a novel μ-opioid receptor-biased agonist. It has analgesic effects by selectively activating the G protein-coupled pathway. Additionally, it can weakly activate the ß-arrestin-2 pathway, resulting in a limited number of side effects, such as gastrointestinal inhibition. Previous studies have shown that SHR8554 has good analgesic effects, safety and tolerability, but the pharmacokinetic characteristics of SHR8554 in humans have not been reported. This study was designed to investigate the pharmacokinetics and safety of SHR8554 in healthy Chinese male subjects.Methods: A single 1 mg/41.3 μCi intravenous dose of [14C]SHR8554 was administered to six healthy male subjects. Blood, urine and faecal samples were collected at continuous time points to analyse SHR8554 parent drug levels and their metabolites. The total radioactivity in blood, plasma, urine and faeces was detected by using a liquid scintillation counter. The dynamic changes of SHR8554 and its metabolite concentration were by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS), and then pharmacokinetic analysis. The safety of the drug on the subjects was also observed after a single intravenous injection.Results: The total recovery of radioactivity in urine and faeces was 99.68% ± 0.79% in 216 h, including 76.22% ± 1.12% in urine and 23.46% ± 1.36% in faeces. Seventeen major metabolites in blood, urine and faeces were analysed and identified. The main metabolic pathways of SHR8554 in the human body involve 1) N-dealkylation; 2) O-deethylation; 3) mono-oxidation; 4) glucuronidation, etc. The primary mechanism of SHR8554 clearance in the human body is through urinary excretion, primarily in its parent drug and metabolite forms. The drug has good safety, and no serious adverse effects were observed.Conclusion: SHR8554 showed favourable pharmacokinetic characteristics and safety profiles in this study. SHR8554 is extensively metabolized in human body. The main metabolic pathways include N-dealkylation and O-deethylation, as well as mono-oxidation and glucuronidation.     Meshing Stiffness Parametric Vibration of Coaxial Contrarotating Encased Differential Gear Train

    Planetary gears are widely used in mechanical transmission systems, but the vibration and noise affect their reliability and life. In this paper, the torsional dynamic model of an encased differential planetary gear with coaxial contrarotating outputs considering the time-varying meshing stiffness, damping, and phase difference of all gear pairs is established. By solving the equations of the derived system, three types of natural frequencies with different multiplicities of the system are obtained. The multiscale method is used to study the parametric vibration stability caused by the time-varying meshing stiffness, and the results are verified by numerical simulation. The dynamic characteristics of elastic meshing force are analyzed from time domain and frequency domain. The variation of the dynamic load factor of each gear pair with input speed and the relationship between its peak position and the natural frequency of the derived system are discussed. The results show that there is an unequal coupling phenomenon of meshing frequency between the meshing forces of different planetary sets. In the absence of external excitation, the meshing stiffness parameters not only excite the main resonance response of the system but also cause superharmonic resonance, subharmonic resonance, and combined resonance

    A design method of low sliding ratio face gear drive is presented. The rack and gear meshing pair with a low sliding ratio is obtained by constructing the contact path. The face gear is then formed by this gear, and its tooth width characteristics are analyzed. Combined with the explicit solution of the meshing point of the tooth surface, a method to solve the sliding ratio of the proposed face gear pair is given, and the effects of relevant design parameters on the sliding ratio are analyzed. Moreover, the rationality of the tooth profile design is verified by 3D modeling and motion simulation. The proposed face gear pair has a lower sliding ratio, as well as larger tooth width, than those of traditional face gear drive (the pinion is involute spur gear) with the same basic parameters. The results of this study can provide points of reference for reducing friction and improving the mechanical efficiency of face gear drives
