    A sufficient condition for a balanced bipartite digraph to be hamiltonian

    We describe a new type of sufficient condition for a balanced bipartite digraph to be hamiltonian. Let DD be a balanced bipartite digraph and x,yx,y be distinct vertices in DD. {x,y}\{x, y\} dominates a vertex zz if x→zx\rightarrow z and y→zy\rightarrow z; in this case, we call the pair {x,y}\{x, y\} dominating. In this paper, we prove that a strong balanced bipartite digraph DD on 2a2a vertices contains a hamiltonian cycle if, for every dominating pair of vertices {x,y}\{x, y\}, either d(x)≄2a−1d(x)\ge 2a-1 and d(y)≄a+1d(y)\ge a+1 or d(x)≄a+1d(x)\ge a+1 and d(y)≄2a−1d(y)\ge 2a-1.     Des Ă©coulements instationnaires au niveau du distributeur des turbines Ă  rĂ©action ont Ă©tĂ© expĂ©rimentalement Ă©tudiĂ©s dans ce projet doctoral. Le but est de dĂ©velopper une expertise intĂ©grĂ©e pour mesurer des Ă©coulements instationnaires au niveau des distributeurs des turbines Ă  rĂ©action en utilisant une vĂ©locimĂ©trie par image de particules (PIV) et d'autres techniques de mesure. Les expĂ©riences ont Ă©tĂ© effectuĂ©es en deux phases appelĂ©es configuration 1 et configuration 2. La configuration 1 est composĂ©e d'une directrice, installĂ©e dans un canal bidimensionnel d'eau, examinĂ©e aux nombres de Reynolds comparable Ă  ceux dans les modĂšles standards de turbines Francis. La configuration 2 consiste en un distributeur d'un modĂšle rĂ©duit d'une turbine Francis. Dans la configuration 1, les champs d'Ă©coulement ont Ă©tĂ© mesurĂ©s avec un PIV autour d'une directrice asymĂ©trique dans un canal d'eau, Ă  diffĂ©rents angles d'attaque entre 0° et 20°. Les donnĂ©es obtenues comprennent les champs de vitesse instantanĂ©e et moyenne. Pour les mĂȘmes conditions, les pertes de charge dues Ă  la directrice ont Ă©tĂ© mesurĂ©es et comparĂ©es. Dans la configuration 2, les champs d'Ă©coulement entre deux directrices voisines ont Ă©tĂ© mesurĂ©s avec le PIV au travers d'un accĂšs optique spĂ©cifique. Des rĂ©sultats instantanĂ©s tels que les champs de vitesse et les rĂ©sultats moyens tels que la fluctuation de vitesse et les iso-contours de vitesse ont Ă©tĂ© prĂ©sentĂ©s. La distribution de pression du cĂŽtĂ© intrados et du cĂŽtĂ© extrados de deux directrices voisines a Ă©tĂ© mesurĂ©e avec des capteurs de pression miniatures montĂ©s sur les surfaces des directrices.     AbstractA digraph is arc-locally in-semicomplete if for any pair of adjacent vertices x,y, every in-neighbor of x and every in-neighbor of y either are adjacent or are the same vertex. A digraph is quasi-arc-transitive if for any arc xy, every in-neighbor of x and every out-neighbor of y either are adjacent or are the same vertex. Laborde, Payan and Xuong proposed the following conjecture: Every digraph has an independent set intersecting every non-augmentable path (in particular, every longest path). In this paper, we shall prove that this conjecture is true for arc-locally in-semicomplete digraphs and quasi-arc-transitive digraphs
