Câncer de Pulmão e Cirurgia Robótica: Avanços na Abordagem Terapêutica

Lung cancer is one of the main causes of death from cancer worldwide, and, in Brazil, it occupies a high position in the ranking of neoplasms with the highest mortality. Regarding this, in recent years, robotic surgery has emerged as an innovative treatment option for patients with this pathology, in order to be resolving, less invasive and with a lower percentage of complications. Therefore, the objective of this article is to explore the advantages of advances in robotic surgery and its role in the therapeutic approach to lung cancer. The Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science indexers were used as search engines to select articles, using the keywords “Quality of life, Satisfaction, Total mucus-supported prosthesis, Total implant-supported prosthesis”. In view of this, the existence of benefits and some difficulties associated with this type of surgical treatment was observed, but in general, it is possible to state that, despite the difficulties related to the implementation of this therapy, it is promising. Therefore, it is essential that the medical community and patients remain aware of these advances, allowing robotic surgery to continue to play a vital role in tackling lung cancer in the 21st century.O câncer de pulmão é uma das principais causas de morte por câncer em todo o mundo, e, no Brasil, ocupa uma posição alta no ranking de neoplasias com maior mortalidade. Acerca disso, nos últimos anos, a cirurgia robótica emergiu como opção de tratamento inovadora para pacientes com essa patologia, de modo a ser resolutiva, menos invasiva e com menor percentual de complicações. Diante disso, o objetivo desse artigo é explorar as vantagens dos avanços na cirurgia robótica e seu papel na abordagem terapêutica do câncer de pulmão. Foram utilizados como motores de busca os indexadores Google Scholar, Scopus e Web of Science para seleção dos artigos, através dos unitermos “Qualidade de vida, Satisfação, Prótese total mucossuportada, Prótese total implantossuportada’”. Diante disso, observou-se a existência de benefícios e algumas dificuldades associadas a esse tipo de tratamento cirúrgico, mas de forma geral, é possível afirmar que, apesar das dificuldades relacionadas a implantação dessa terapêutica, é promissora. Assim, é essencial que a comunidade médica e os pacientes permaneçam atentos a esses avanços, permitindo que a cirurgia robótica continue a desempenhar um papel vital no enfrentamento do câncer de pulmão no século XXI. &nbsp
