The Schwinger SU(3) Construction - II: Relations between Heisenberg-Weyl and SU(3) Coherent States
The Schwinger oscillator operator representation of SU(3), studied in a
previous paper from the representation theory point of view, is analysed to
discuss the intimate relationships between standard oscillator coherent state
systems and systems of SU(3) coherent states. Both SU(3) standard coherent
states, based on choice of highest weight vector as fiducial vector, and
certain other specific systems of generalised coherent states, are found to be
relevant. A complete analysis is presented, covering all the oscillator
coherent states without exception, and amounting to SU(3) harmonic analysis of
these states.Comment: Latex, 51 page
Fragmentation of Positronium (Ps) in collision with Li ion
Fragmentation of ground state ortho Positronium (Ps) in collision with Li ion
(Li+) is studied in the framework of post collisional Coulomb distorted eikonal
approximation (CDEA) for the target elastic case . The present model takes
account of the two center effect on the ejected e which is crucial for a proper
description of the projectile ionization involving an ionic target. Both the
fully differential (TDCS) and the doubly differential (DDCS) cross sections
(energy spectra) are investigated at intermediate and high incident energies. A
broad distinct Electron loss peak (ELP) centered around v_e ~ v_p is noted in
the e energy spectrum in contrast to the sharp ELP for a heavy projectile. Two
salient features are noted in the present study: i) the shift of the e DDCS
peak (summed over e+ angles) towards higher ejection energy with respect to
half the residual energy of the system, ii) comparison of the e& e+ energy
spectra reflect a strong e - e+ asymmetry with respect to the ratio v_e/v_p =1
>. Both these features could be attributed to the post collisional two center
effect on the e due to its parent nucleus (e+) and the screened target ion .
Two different wave functions of the Li ion are chosen in order to test the
sensitivity of the present results with respect to the choice of the wave
function.Comment: 19 pages, 7 figure
Truncated Harmonic Osillator and Parasupersymmetric Quantum Mechanics
We discuss in detail the parasupersymmetric quantum mechanics of arbitrary
order where the parasupersymmetry is between the normal bosons and those
corresponding to the truncated harmonic oscillator. We show that even though
the parasusy algebra is different from that of the usual parasusy quantum
mechanics, still the consequences of the two are identical. We further show
that the parasupersymmetric quantum mechanics of arbitrary order p can also be
rewritten in terms of p supercharges (i.e. all of which obey ).
However, the Hamiltonian cannot be expressed in a simple form in terms of the p
supercharges except in a special case. A model of conformal parasupersymmetry
is also discussed and it is shown that in this case, the p supercharges, the p
conformal supercharges along with Hamiltonian H, conformal generator K and
dilatation generator D form a closed algebra.Comment: 9 page
