Objectives: This study aims to investigate the clinical value of uric acid in predicting adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs) of women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Material and methods: A total of 180 pregnant women with HDP from September 2015 to January 2017 were selected for this study. These subjects were classified into two groups, according to serum uric acid level: high UA group (n = 137) and normal UA group (n = 43). In addition, 180 healthy pregnant women were selected and assigned as the control group (n = 180). The monitored biochemical indices and APOs in these three groups were analyzed. Furthermore, non-conditional logistic regression analysis was performed to determine influencing factors of APOs in women with HDP and hyperuricemia. Results: The non-conditional multi-factor logistic regression analysis revealed that HUA (SUA > 357 umol/L) is the risk factor of APOs in women with HDP (OR = 1.258, P < 0.05). Conclusions: Women with HDP and HUA are often accompanied with a variety of abnormal biochemical indicators, and is correlated with the severity of the disease and APOs

We investigate the PP-wave states TbbT^-_{bb} in the isospin singlet and three excited modes [excitation occurring in the diquark [bb]c1s1[bb]^{s_1}_{c_1} (ρ\rho -mode), antidiquark [uˉdˉ]c2s2[\bar{u}\bar{d}]^{s_2}_{c_2} (rr-mode) or between them (λ\lambda-mode)] from diquarks in a quark model. We analyze the dynamical behaviors of the diquark [bb]c1s1[bb]^{s_1}_{c_1}, antidiquark [uˉdˉ]c2s2[\bar{u}\bar{d}]^{s_2}_{c_2} and their correlations in the states TbbT^-_{bb} by decomposing the interactions from various sources in the model. The absolute dominant color-spin configuration, more than 99%99\%, in the ρ\rho-mode with 11P11^1P_1 is [bb]3ˉ0[uˉdˉ]30[bb]^0_{\bar{\mathbf{3}}}[\bar{u}\bar{d}]^0_{\mathbf{3}}. Its energy is lower by about 1818 MeV than the threshold BˉBˉ\bar{B}\bar{B} so that it can establish a compact bound state. The chromomagnetic and meson-exchange interactions in the antidiquark [uˉdˉ]30[\bar{u}\bar{d}]^0_{\mathbf{3}} are responsible for its binding mechanism. Two other excited modes are higher than their respective threshold. The color configuration 66ˉ\mathbf{6}\otimes\bar{\mathbf{6}} need to be handled discreetly in the tetraquark states.Comment: 7 pages, 1 figures, 4 tables, to be published in Phys. Rev.

AbstractObjectiveTo observe the effect of preemptive local injection of ropivocaine with dexmedetomidine on activation of glial cells and on the mirror pain in rats and its mechanism.MethodsA total of 48 adult male Sprague-Dawley rats (weighing 180 g–220 g) were included in the study and randomized into 3 groups, Group S, Group R, and Group RD1. A rat model of persistent postoperative pain evoked by skin/muscle incision and retraction was established in the three groups. Before procedures and nerve extraction, Group S (n = 16) was injected 0.9% saline locally; Group R (n = 16) was injected 0.5% ropivocaine locally, and Group RD1 (n = 16) was injected 0.5% ropivocaine in combined with 1 μg dexmedetomidine locally. After the model being established in the three groups, 8 rats were used for behavior test until 28 d, and dorsal root ganglions (DRGs) of the other 8 rats were harvested on the 3rd day after surgery. Immunofluorescent and transmission electron microscopy were used to observe the activation of glial cells in DRG, and the behavior test results in the three groups were compared.ResultsThe results showed that mechanical pain threshold in ipsilateral hind-paws of the Group S, Group R, Group RD1 animals dropped to (3.640 ± 1.963) g, (5.827 ± 1.204) g, (7.482) ± 1.412 g at 3 d respectively; while in contralateral paws dropped to (7.100 ± 1.789) g, (17.687 ± 1.112) g, (16.213 ± 1.345) g on the 3 d respectively. Immunofluorescent showed that the glial cells were activated in bilateral side DRG after surgery in 3 groups, but ipsilateral paws expressed more active glial cells than contralateral paws. Transmission electron microscopy showed that mitochondria swelling/vacuolization and lysosomes were more obvious in ipsilateral paws than contralateral paws, but Group RD1 formula could reduce glial cells activity, mitochondria swelling/vacuolization and the amount of lysosomes.ConclusionsLocal injection of ropivocaine and/or dexmedetomidine can effectively inhibit the activation of glial cells in DRG, mitigate the pathological changes of neuron in DRG and reduce mirror image pain

Hawking radiation of Dirac particles via tunneling from Kerr black hole

We investigated Dirac Particles' Hawking radiation from event horizon of Kerr black hole in terms of the tunneling formalism. Applying WKB approximation to the general covariant Dirac equation in Kerr spacetime background, we obtain the tunneling probability for fermions and Hawking temperature of Kerr black hole. The result obtained by taking the fermion tunneling into account is consistent with the previous literatures.Comment: 7 pages, no figures, to appear in CQ

AIM:To investigate and analyse the prevalence and risk factors associated with diabetic retinopathy severity in Qingdao.METHODS: This survey consisted of the 2 following parts: 2859 community residents aged >60 years old and 4275 patients with T2DM who were older than 30 years old in Qingdao. Ophthalmic examinations were performed on all patients. A questionnaire was used to obtain the patient's age and gender, the duration of diabetes mellitus(DM), glycaemic control and their knowledge of diabetic retinopathy(DR). Blood pressure and haemoglobin levels were recorded. All included patients underwent a comprehensive ophthalmic examination that included a fundus examination and retinal photographs and that assigned a grade for the severity of retinopathy according to the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study(ETDRS)severity scale. Patients with severe non-proliferative or proliferative diabetic retinopathy and clinically significant macular edema(CSME)required ophthalmic therapy were assigned to the need-treatment group, while the remaining patients with DR were assigned to the need-observation group. Correlation and regression analyses were performed to determine the required-treatment rate and risk factors for DR. Logistic regression models were used to estimate odds ratios(OR)and 95% confidence intervals(CI)after adjustment for age, gender and the duration of diabetes.RESULTS: DR was present in 334(11.68%)of the 2859 community residents aged >60 years old and 1097(25.66%)of the 4275 hospital patients with T2DM, and 48(14.81%)of the residents and 172(15.68%)of the hospital patients required ophthalmic therapy. In univariate and multivariate logistic analyses, factors including the age of the patients(51-60 years old: OR, 1.68; 95%CI, 1.21-1.72; 61-70 years old: OR, 1.55; 95%CI, 1.38-1.76), the duration of diabetes(11-15 years: OR, 2.61; 95%CI, 1.51-4.72; >15 years: OR, 4.15; 95%CI, 2.32-5.77), glycaemic control(medium: OR, 2.51; 95%CI, 1.98-3.92; poor: OR, 4.69; 95%CI, 3.39-6.95), and knowledge of DR(did not understand: OR, 1.45; 95%CI, 1.21-1.95)were significantly associated with the required-treatment rate in DR, while gender, low and advanced age(31-50 years old and >70 years old), duration of disease(CONCLUSION: The prevalence rate and the required-treatment rate in DR in Qingdao are relatively high. Being aged 51-70 years old and having a duration of diabetes >10y, poor glycaemic control and a lack of knowledge of DR were found to be potential risk factors that increased the rate of required ophthalmic therapy in patients with DR. In patients with T2DM who were aged 51-70 years old, we found that focusing on using science and education to strengthen the patients' knowledge of DR, establishing specifications for a community DR screening system, and effectively implementing early intervention in the community of DR-affected individuals were particularly important for preventing and controlling the high DR prevalence and the high rate of DR-associated blindnes

Stationary Response of a Class of Nonlinear Stochastic Systems Undergoing Markovian Jumps

Systems whose specifications change abruptly and statistically, referred to as Markovianjump systems, are considered in this paper. An approximate method is presented to assess the stationary response of multidegree, nonlinear, Markovian-jump, quasi-nonintegrable Hamiltonian systems subjected to stochastic excitation. Using stochastic averaging, the quasi-nonintegrable Hamiltonian equations are first reduced to a one-dimensional Itô equation governing the energy envelope. The associated Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equation is then set up, from which approximate stationary probabilities of the original system are obtained for different jump rules. The validity of this technique is demonstrated by using a nonlinear two-degree oscillator that is stochastically driven and capable of Markovian jumps
