On Modulated Lacunary Statistical Convergence of Double Sequences

    Get PDF
In earlier works, F. León and coworkers discovered a remarkable structure between statistical convergence and strong Cesàro convergence, modulated by a function f (called a modulus function). Such nice structure pivots around the notion of compatible modulus function. In this paper, we will explore such a structure in the framework of lacunary statistical convergence for double sequences and discover that such structure remains true for lacunary compatible modulus functions. Thus, we continue the work of Hacer ¸Senül, Mikail Et and Yavuz Altin, and we fully solve some questions posed by them

Growth of hypercyclic entire functions for some non-convolution operators

A continuous linear operator T defined on a Frechet space X is said to be hypercyclic if there exists f ∈ χsuch that, the orbit {Tnf} is dense in X. In this article, we consider the operators introduced by Aron and Markose, defined on the space of entire functions by Tλb f(z) = f(λz+b) λ ∈ ℂ\{1}, b ∈ ℂ, and we aimed to explore the rate of growth of hypercyclic vectors for Tλb. We discover that Tλb, is a weighted backward shift with respect to some basis and this fact allows us to find sharp estimates of the growth of Tλb -hypercyclic vectors. When λ > 1, the Tλb -hypercyclic function growth is similar to the D-hypercyclic functions (D is the differentiation operator), and when λ > 1, theλb -hypercyclic functions can grow very slowly but not arbitrarily slowly. A lower bound of this growth is found in terms of the W-Lambert function. Finally, partial results are obtained for Tλb -frequently hypercyclic functions

Here, we continued the studies initiated by Vinod K. Bhardwaj and Shweta Dhawan which relate different convergence methods involving the classical statistical and the classical strong Cesàro convergences by means of lacunary sequences and measures of density in (Formula presented.) modulated by a modulus function f. A method for constructing non-compatible modulus functions was also included, which is related to symmetries with respect to (Formula presented.)

En definitiva se evalúa para conocer y tomar decisiones respecto a las innovaciones y cambios proyectados, ya que la evaluación es el paso previo a la elaboración de un buen plan de mejora.__________________________________The public Universities impelled to offer greater levels of quality in the services that lend the society, have become aware from the necessity to be developing and strengthening a "culture of the quality" that impregnates all the university community. It is really evaluated to know and to make decisions with respect to the projected innovations and changes, since the evaluation is the previous step to the elaboration of a good plan of improvement

Expression of the retrotransposon Helena reveals a complex pattern of TE deregulation in Drosophila yybrids

Transposable elements (TEs), repeated mobile sequences, are ubiquitous in the eukaryotic kingdom. Their mobilizing capacity confers on them a high mutagenic potential, which must be strongly regulated to guarantee genome stability. In the Drosophila germline, a small RNA-mediated silencing system, the piRNA (Piwi-interacting RNA) pathway, is the main responsible TE regulating mechanism, but some stressful conditions can destabilize it. For instance, during interspecific hybridization, genomic stress caused by the shock of two different genomes can lead, in both animals and plants, to higher transposition rates. A recent study in D. buzatii-D. koepferae hybrids detected mobilization of 28 TEs, yet little is known about the molecular mechanisms explaining this transposition release. We have characterized one of the mobilized TEs, the retrotransposon Helena, and used quantitative expression to assess whether its high transposition rates in hybrids are preceded by increased expression. We have also localized Helena expression in the gonads to see if cellular expression patterns have changed in the hybrids. To give more insight into changes in TE regulation in hybrids, we analysed Helena-specific piRNA populations of hybrids and parental species. Helena expression is not globally altered in somatic tissues, but male and female gonads have different patterns of deregulation. In testes, Helena is repressed in F1, increasing then its expression up to parental values. This is linked with a mislocation of Helena transcripts along with an increase of their specific piRNA levels. Ovaries have additive levels of Helena expression, but the ping-pong cycle efficiency seems to be reduced in F1 hybrids. This could be at the origin of new Helena insertions in hybrids, which would be transmitted to F1 hybrid female progeny

Plastic litter is an issue of global concern. In this work Mytilus galloprovincialis was used to study the distribution and effects of polystyrene nanoplastics (PS NPs) of different sizes (50 nm, 100 nm and 1 mu m) on immune cells. Internalization and translocation of NPs to hemolymph were carried out by in vivo experiments, while endocytic routes and effects of PS NPs on hemocytes were studied in vitro. The smallest PS NPs tested were detected in the digestive gland and muscle. A fast and size-dependent translocation of PS NPs to the hemolymph was recorded after 3 h of exposure. The internalization rate of 50 nm PS NPs was lower when caveolae and clathrin endocytosis pathways were inhibited. On the other hand, the internalization of larger particles decreased when phagocytosis was inhibited. The hemocytes exposed to NPs had changes in motility, apoptosis, ROS and phagocytic capacity. However, they showed resilience when were infected with bacteria after PS NP exposure being able to recover their phagocytic capacity although the expression of the antimicrobial peptide Myticin C was reduced. Our findings show for the first time the translocation of PS NPs into hemocytes and how their effects trigger the loss of its functional parameters

According to the DSM -IV- TR , children with attention deficit disorder with Hyperactivity Disorder ( ADHD from now ) manifest an excessive level of activity and of restlessness, decreased ability to remain seated when they should, play more objects , move and run faster than other children. Also talk excessively and act impulsively , interrupt others and are unable to wait patiently for their turn in games. All these hyperactive behavior and lack of inhibition are marking the child's behavior and , at the time it begins to be in constant contact with other children, begins to be perceived as different. Often , therefore, that experience rejection by other children and suffer low self esteem. In the present study we performed an intervention with a student seven years has ADHD and is attending second grade education. After collecting information and data analysis program is applied to improve the relationship child with peers and enhance the realization of the child's homework . by one side attempts to remove or reduce some negative behaviors through self reinforced technique ( a combination of the technique self-observation and the establishment of a system of economy points) and by training in social skills. On the other hand , is carried out using self-instruction instruction sheets the "Bear Arthur" ( self-instructional sequence included in the " Think voice high " Camp and Bash, 1980) with the reinforcement of self- reinforced technique . After the intervention program , the child with ADHD improve their sociometric status increasing the number of choices and decreasing the number of rejections so significant . Moreover, the application of self-instruction at the academic level improves the presentation and order of tasks and reduces the number of errors due to lack Care. As we can see , psychosocial interventions are options useful treatment to address multiple problems presented by children with ADHD.
