Experimental study of the operating characteristics of premixing-prevaporizing fuel/air mixing passages

Fuel spray and air flow characteristics were determined using nonintrusive (optical) measurement techniques in a fuel preparation duct. A very detailed data set was obtained at high pressures (to 10 atm) and temperatures (to 750 K). The data will be used to calibrate an analytical model which will facilitate the design of a lean premixed prevaporized combustor. This combustor has potential for achieving low pollutant emissions and low levels of flame radiation and pattern factors conductive to improved durability and performance for a variety of fuels

Droplet size and two component velocities in the severe environment of an operating gas turbine combustor system can be measured simultaneously using the solar laser morphokinetomer (SLM) which incorporates the following capabilities: (1) measurement of a true two-dimensional velocity vector with a range of + or - (0.01-200 m/sec); (2) measurement of particle size (range 5 to 300 micron m) simultaneously with the measurement of velocity; (3) specification of probe volume position coordinates with a high degree of accuracy (+ or - 0.5 mm); (4) immediate on-line data checks; and (5) rapid computer storage of acquired data. The optical system of the SLM incorporates an ultrasonic beam splitter to allow the measurement of a two-dimensional velocity vector simultaneously with particle size. A turbine blade temperature measuring system for liquid oxygen turbopumps is reported. The system includes a three mode, two-input optical signal processor, interconnecting cable, and four sensor heads. Two of the heads are aperture type, while the other two are lens type. ABSTRACTThis research aims to analyze the development of the Earth Hour, which started in 2007, in Sidney, Australia. The Earth Hour, initiated by WWF, is a movement that works by encouraging people to turn off the light for an hour in the last week of March. Other than that, the Earth Hour has also managed to initiate other solutions for various climate change issues. This research look into the Earth Hour movement based on the standpoint of the recipient and the messenger. The recipient standpoint is being analyzed through the Convergence Theory, where the focus is the people, who joins the organizations based on their similarities in vision and mission statements and how they influence the national policy, from six sample countries. Lesbian comics and graphic narratives have gained unprecedented cultural presence in the twenty-first century. Yet despite the surge in interest in the work of artists such as Alison Bechdel, and despite the existence of a substantial online archive about lesbian comics created by artists, readers, and collectors, relatively little critical attention has been directed to this work. The chapter begins to fill this gap. Motor diesel adalah mesin pembakaran dalam yang merubah energi panas menjadi energi mekanik, dimana energi panas diperoleh dari proses pembakaran dalam ruang bakar motor diesel melalui proses kompresi udara dan pengabutan bahan bakar diesel yang menggerakan torak selanjutnya memutar poros engkol. Di kapal MT. Falcon 19 terdapat 2 mesin diesel generator yang digunakan secara bergantian selama 2 hari sekali. Pada tanggal 6 April 2023 pukul 13.00 kapal sedang berlabuh di anchorage area pelabuhan Wayame Ambon saat akan dilakukan proses change over generator nomor 1 ke generator nomor 2 ternyata mesin diesel generator nomor 2 mengalami gagal start saat sudah dicoba berulang kali. Hal ini membuat udara di dalam tabung angin menjadi habis sehingga proses start mesin diesel generator dinyatakan gagal atau bermasalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab, dampak dari kegagalan start mesin diesel generator, serta upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik analisis data RCA (Root Cause Analysis) 5 why guna memperoleh hasil akar penyebab dari penelitian yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegagalan start mesin diesel generator disebabkan oleh keretakan pada exhaust manifold dan keretakan pada cylinder head mesin. Kegagalan start dapat berdampak pada kebocoran air pendingin pada exhaust manifold adalah menyebabkan terdapatnya air pada ruang bakar mesin. Sehingga tekanan kompresi menjadi rendah yang juga dapat menyebabkan rendahnya temperatur di dalam ruang bakar mesin. Dampak keretakkan pada cylinder head mesin menyebabkan terjadinya kebocoran pada jacket cooling cylinder head yang masuk dan memenuhi ruang bakar mesin, sehingga tekanan kompresi menjadi rendah dan menyebabkan temperatur pada ruang bakar mesin menjadi terlalu rendah. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah penggantian exhaust manifold mesin dengan yang baru dan penggantian cylinder head mesin dengan hasil rekondisi
