Tilapia culture in Kuwait: constraints and solutions
Tilapia farming in Kuwait is in its early stages. Slow growth, high production cost and poor demand are the major constraints to the expansion of tilapia culture in Kuwait. This article presents some suggestions for overcoming these problems to improve the economic feasibility of tilapia culture in Kuwait
Channel Estimation And Multiuser Detection In Asynchronous Satellite Communications
In this paper, we propose a new method of channel estimation for asynchronous
additive white Gaussian noise channels in satellite communications. This method
is based on signals correlation and multiuser interference cancellation which
adopts a successive structure. Propagation delays and signals amplitudes are
jointly estimated in order to be used for data detection at the receiver. As, a
multiuser detector, a single stage successive interference cancellation (SIC)
architecture is analyzed and integrated to the channel estimation technique and
the whole system is evaluated. The satellite access method adopted is the
direct sequence code division multiple access (DS CDMA) one. To evaluate the
channel estimation and the detection technique, we have simulated a satellite
uplink with an asynchronous multiuser access.Comment: 14 pages, 9 figure
A Formulation of the Potential for Communication Condition using C2KA
An integral part of safeguarding systems of communicating agents from covert
channel communication is having the ability to identify when a covert channel
may exist in a given system and which agents are more prone to covert channels
than others. In this paper, we propose a formulation of one of the necessary
conditions for the existence of covert channels: the potential for
communication condition. Then, we discuss when the potential for communication
is preserved after the modification of system agents in a potential
communication path. Our approach is based on the mathematical framework of
Communicating Concurrent Kleene Algebra (C2KA). While existing approaches only
consider the potential for communication via shared environments, the approach
proposed in this paper also considers the potential for communication via
