    The Influence of Entrepreneurship on Ability and Success of Small Business of Woven Sarong in Samarinda – Indonesia

    Small businesses are the economic pillar of the society and the backbone of the national economy which are independent and able to survive during the crisis. This research aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship on the ability and success of small business of woven sarong in Samarinda, Indonesia. The study was conducted through a survey of 61 managers as well as business owners. Analysis of the data was done by using the approach of partial least square (PLS). The result shows that entrepreneurship increases business success. There is a tendency that entrepreneurship and good business ability will enhance the business success. Empowerment strengthens the influence of entrepreneurship to business success. Nevertheless, empowerment does not increase the effect of the ability on business success.     The purpose of this research was to analyze and explain perceived organization support and perceived supervisor support on work engagement and organizational commitment of employees, to analyze and explain the influence of work engagement on organizational commitment and the performance of the employees, and to analyze and explain the influence of organizational commitment on the performance of employees worker in Department of Cleanliness and Horticultural Samarinda.  The design of this research was explanatory research or explanation research. The type of this research was observational research with cross sectional study design. The method was used to collect the data in this research was survey method. The population of this research was the whole daily impermanent employees (PTTH) in Department of Cleanliness and Horticultural Samarinda which amounted to 1.453 people. In this research, the sample that was used was 20% of population in each part or 292 people. The technic was used to take the sample was simple random sampling technic. This research used Partial Least Square (PLS) approach to analyze the data. PLS was the similarity model of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with component or variant base.The results of this research could be concluded as follows: perceived organization support had an insignificant influence on Samarinda employees work engagement. Perceived organization support had an insignificant influence on organizational commitment of Samarinda employees. Perceived supervisor support had a significant influence on Samarinda employees work engagement. Perceived supervisor support had insignificant influence on organizational commitment of Samarinda employees. Work engagement had a significant influence on organizational commitment of Samarinda employees. Work engagement had a significant influenced on Samarinda employees performance.     Can Job Passion and Job Talent Really Affect to Job Satisfaction and Performance?

    Job passion and job talent are two interesting issues to be observed in the human resource management studies, especially related to organizational behaviour field. The aims of this study are to explore the associations among job passion, job talent, job satisfaction, and performance of employees. It is an explanatory study. The study subjects are consisted of all Widyaiswara (particurall teachers for Indonesia Government employees). Data are collected by using two type of questionnaries and data collection is conducted using census technique of 56 respondents working in the government education and training institutions in the East Kalimantan province, Indonesia. Partial Least Square model analysis is used to analyze this research and answer some hypotheses. Results indicate that in public organizations or government agencies, especially for Widyaiswara as educators and trainers in government institutions, job passion and job talent have positive but not significant enough influence to employees performance. However, job passion and job talent only give positive and significant influence to job satisfaction of employees or Widyaiswara itself. In addition, job satisfaction did not significantly affect the employees’ performance in government agencies especially in the government training institutions in East Kalimantan Province. It means that although there is an increase in job satisfaction, it is not necessarily able to improve performance of the employees, additionally relatively by considering other factors that can affect the employees’ performance at government institutions or public organizations.     Management of Stakeholder Participation in Planning for Rural Development: A Case Study of Program of Village Self-Sufficiency Development Movement (Gerdema) in Malinau Regency North Kalimantan Province

    Since January 2012, Malinau Regency Government has been implementing a development concept based on people participation, namely Program of Village Self-Sufficiency Development Movement (Gerdema). The purpose of this research is to describe the management of the participation of stakeholders such as regional government, village governments and communities in planning Gerdema. This research was a qualitative research in two villages. The result of the research shows that regional government’s participation in village musrenbang (forum of development planning) is the presence of a representative of SKPD (regional working units) in order to absorb the results of village musrenbang and present a picture of the activities that SKPD is going to do in the current year. The planning done by the village government of Respen Tubu and Malinau Seberang normatively faces contraints such as time, place and proposed activities. Some of these constraints are then followed up by the village government of Respen Tubu by implementing pre-musrenbang at RT level. Such thing has caused the village communities to be very enthusiastic about participating in the planning process because of time flexibility, a representative place, and a better representation of the proposals.     The Determinants of Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Job Satisfaction and Their Implications on Nurse Performance in the Impatient Room of Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Regional Public Hospital Samarinda

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of organizational culture, career development, and competence, toward organizational citizenship behavior, job satisfaction and nurse performance at the Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Regional Public Hospital Samarinda. This study uses survey techniques by distributing questionnaires. Then the data obtained is processed by Partial Least Square (PLS) method using Smart PLS. The population of this study is all nurses in the inpatient room at the AW Sjahranie Regional Public Hospital Samarinda, totaling 201 nurses. The sample of this study are 201 nurses. From the study results, it can be seen that organizational culture and job satisfaction have insignificant positive effect toward organizational citizenship behavior. Career development has insignificant negative effect on citizenship behavior. Competence has a significant and positive effect toward organizational citizenship behavior. Organizational culture has insignificant and positive effect toward job satisfaction. Career development has a significant and positive effect toward job satisfaction. Competence has insignificant negative effect toward job satisfaction. Organizational culture and job satisfaction have significant and positive effect on performance. Career development, competence and organizational citizenship behavior have insignificant positive effect on performance.     The Effect of Transformational Leadership, Religiosity, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Culture on Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Employee Performance in the Regional Offices of National Institute of Public Administration, Republic of Indon

    This research is intended to prove and analyze the effect of transformational leadership, religiosity, job satisfaction, and organizational culture variables on the employees’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB)  and performance in the Regional Offices ofthe National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) in Indonesia. The population of this research is 198 employees from  the  four NIPA’s regional offices. The number of respondent as the sample for the survey is 153 employees. An inferential and descriptive statistical tool using SmartPLS software is used to analyze data.The result of the research showed that transformational leadership and job satisfaction variables have no positive and significant influence on  OCB. Religiosity variable, however, displayed positive and significant impact, while organizational culture variable showed significant impact on  OCB respectively. Transformational leadership and job satisfaction variables showed no significant influence on the employee’s performance, while religiosity and organizational culture variables displayed significant impact on the employee’s  performance. It is concluded that OCB has become  the mediating and significant variable among the religiosity and organizational culture variables, which then significantly  influences employee’s  performance.     Do Affective Commitment, Competency and Deming Cycle Affect the Need for Achievement and Job Performance?

    This study aims to determine the effect of affective commitment, competency and Deming cycle to the need for achievement and job performance. The research was conducted on the field supervisor of PT Mitra Indah Lestari, a coal mining contractor company in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Respondents who answered and returned the questionnaire were 62 respondents from 72 questionnaires distributed. This research used Partial Least Square (PLS) approach and WarpPLS software. The results show that competency and Deming cycle have significant effect on the need for achievement and job performance. While affective commitment only affects the need for achievement. The influence of affective commitment and the Deming cycle directly affect job performance, while competency affects job performance through the need for achievement. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah kepuasan kerja, dukungan organisasi dan gaya kepemimpinan, variabel dependen adalah motivasi kerja. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini meliputi penelitian kausal, yang merupakan hasil penelitian dan menggambarkan hubungan (sebab akibat). Populasi karyawan PT. Gunung Gajah Abadi. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dengan jumlah responden adalah 80 karyawan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Jenis dan sumber data menggunakan data primer. Data dianalisis menggunakan Least Square (PLS) pendekatan parsial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan variabel kerja memiliki efek pada motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, dukungan organisasi memiliki efek pada motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh pada motivasi kerja positif dan signifikan
