Background: this study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills training on coping strategies, emotion regulation, and perceived stress in prisoners Method:The esearch method of current study was semi experimental method in form of pretest and posttest with the control group.statistical population consisted of 200 prisoners in Fooman Prison in Iran; of individual who had inclusion criteria, 30 members were selected using convenient sampling method then assigned to two experimental and control groups (n=15 in each group). They were match base on education level and age. Experimental group received 12 sessions teaching of emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills, while control group were waiting. Both groups filled in coping responses, emotion regulation, and perceived stress reduction questionnaires at baseline and after treatment. Data were analyzed using SPSS21 Software. Results: Emotion regulation and distress tolerance skill training could affect improvement of coping strategies, emotion regulation, and perceived stress reduction in prisoners (P<0.001).Conclusion: Emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills led to improved emotion regulation, coping strategies, and reduced use of emotion-focused coping strategies and decreased perceived stress in prisoners. So we could introduce this approach for emotion regulation in prisoners.

A study of the relationship between organizational learning and EFQM excellence model in University of Tehran

The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between organizational learning and EFQM excellence model. In this survey, 300 faculty members in University of Tehran 2012-2013 academic year answered to two standard questionnaire of organizational learning that was compiled based on Gomez, Cespedes-Lorente, and Valle-Cabrer (2005) and standard questionnaire of EFQM excellence model (2010). Obtained results by Pearson's correlation coefficient showed the significant relationship between organizational learning and EFQM excellence model. Obtained Results from multi-correlation coefficient and step by step regression showed that the best predictor of EFQM excellence model is transfer and integration of knowledge, system thinking and openness and experimentation

Evaluation of Yield and Yield Components of Two Potato Cultivars in Khorasan Razavi Province of Iran

    Get PDF
In order to study the yield and yield components of two potato cultivars, an experiment was conducted as a split plot based on a randomized complete block design with three replicates. The experiment was performed in two locations, Jolgeh-Rokh district, and Fariman city, in professional farmers’ fields in Khoarasan Razavi province. The main plots consisted of two potato cultivars, Agria and Fontane cultivars (medium maturing), which were identified as the main cultivars used in chips production factories in the Province. Our results showed higher potential of Agria cultivar for production of stems per plant compared to Fontana cultivar. Both stem number and tuber number per plant along with tuber weight and tuber yield were higher in Fariman location than in Jolgeh-Rokh

Molecular Electronic Structure Calculation via a Quantum Computer

Quantum computers can be used to calculate the electronic structure and estimate the ground state energy of many-electron molecular systems. In the present study, we implement the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) algorithm, as a hybrid quantum-classical algorithm to calculate the ground state energy of the molecules such as H3+, OH-, HF and BH3 in which the number of qubits has an increasing trend. We use the parity transformation for Fermion to qubit encoding and the Unitary Coupled Cluster for Single and Double excitations (UCCSD) to construct an ansatz. We compare our quantum simulation results with the computational chemistry approaches including Full Configuration Interaction (FCI), as benchmark energy and Unrestricted Hartree-Fock (UHF), as a common computational method. Our results show that there is a good agreement between molecular ground state energy obtained from VQE and FCI. Moreover, the accuracy of the ground state energies obtained from VQE in our work is higher than the previously reported values

Synthesis and characterization of a heptadentate (N4O3) schiff base ligand and associated La(ІІІ), Sm(III) AND Gd(III) complexes, and a theoretical study

A new symmetrical potentially heptadentate (N4O3) Schiff base ligand    {N[CH2CH2CH2N=CH(2-OH-5-BrC6H3)]3} (H3L6) and associated neutral Gd(III), La(III) and Sm(III) complexes, were synthesized. The new compounds were characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and mass spectrometry in all cases and in the case of ligand also with NMR spectroscopy. The relative capability of H3L6 to encapsulate a lanthanide ion, herein La(III), has been theoretically studied by ab initio restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF) and DFT (B3LYP) methods. The calculation confirmed that the H3L6 ligand can effectively encapsulate a lanthanide ion and enforce a seven-coordinate geometry.KEY WORDS:Ab initio, Heptadentate ligands, Lanthanide ions, Schiff base complexesBull. Abstract The present study was aimed to compare the implementation of two models in terms of strategic planning. In order to this, firstly, several field studies have been done in terms of the SWOT and the SPACE analysis. In the next step, a team of the meddle and senior managers that have studied in terms of SWOT analysis seek to identify the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and then develop their related strategies. They also develop and indicate the SPACE questionnaire. Based on the results of this questionnaire and determining the organization’s strategic position, they strive to develop the appropriate strategies. Finally, the strategies that have been derived from these models were compared to each other and their strengths and weaknesses were analyzed

The effect of depth variation on size and catch rate of green tiger shrimp, Penaeus semisulcatus (De Haan, 1884) in Bushehr coastal waters, Northern Persian Gulf

Catch data of Penaeus semisulcatus were collected for three years (2009-2011) during the period of June to August to estimate the effect of depth variation on length frequency and catch rate (Kg h-1) of the species. No difference was observed between the shallow and deeper catch rate (ANOVA test, P > 0.05). However, the size composition of green tiger shrimp were affected by depth variation (Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, P < 0.05) and were positively correlated with depth (P < 0.05 and r = 0.140). The smaller individuals prefer shallow waters, indicating behaviour differences between the juveniles and adults of this species. The positive correlation between size of shrimp and water depth can be attributed to the behaviour predation. Keywords: Green tiger shrimp, Penaeus semisulcatus, catch rate, depth variation, Persian GulfAfrican Journal of Biotechnology Vol. 12(20), pp. 3058-306
