AISLAMIENTO Y PURIFICACIÓN DEL HONGO ECTOMICORRÍZICO Helvella lacunosa EN DIFERENTES MEDIOS DE CULTIVO
Helvella lacunosa, besides its mycorrhizal importance for plant forest species, has a high commercial value. The commercial production of H. lacunosa represents two main advantages: Economical benefits for the communities able to produce it; and conservation of biodiversity in the forests by preventing the species overexploitation and maintaining the mushroom-plants micorrhizal relationship. Carrying out this perspective requires, in principle, to isolate the species mycelium, and then to develop the mycorrhizing technique that allows the production of the mushroom. Isolating the mycelium by the first time, however, involves testing several culture media in order to identify the potential requirements for inducing the myceliums growth. In the present work we tested, in laboratory, five different agar-based culture media to isolate H. lacunosas mycelium, and to evaluate its growing rate, analysis of covariance showed that there is a simple linear relationship between incubation time and the diameter. Indicating that the cumulative growth rate of the mycelium, was different between the culture media (F4, 240 = 17,008, p <0.001). The APD medi u m had the highest growth rate followed by AEA. In both growing media, the diameter of the mycelium converges the fifth day. The lowest growth rate was presented in the media AEM and AEP
The present work of theoretical revision is to establish the relationship between
educational theory and the concept of freedom, taking as reference the legacy of John
Dewey, Paulo Freire and Ivan Illich and concentrate the analysis on the works:

extracted, and is used as a meeting point between the two concepts that are intended to
relate. Finally, describe the concept of freedom that emanates from each of them
Developing Supply Chain Competencies Through Experiential Learning and Games
[EN] The Supply Chain Management field has a shortage of talent to deal with the complex problems organizations face nowadays. Higher education institutions have worked to close the gap in knowledge and competencies with various results. This paper presents the results of implementing a Supply Chain Management course, which includes experiential learning, gaming, and industry-academia collaboration to develop four competencies in this field. The main results show how the relevance of hands-on learning, the variety of learning environments -such as virtual, simulated, and real- and tutoring from both practitioners and professors from different disciplines become key elements in developing the required skills to perform a role in a Supply Chain related position. The authors wish to acknowledge the financial support of the Writing Lab, Institute for the Future of Education, Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, in the production of this work.Garcia-Reyes, H.; Maycotte-Felkel, S.; Quijano-Dominguez, E. On the Performance of Carbon Nanotubes on Sintered Alumina-Zirconia Ceramics
The alumina (Al2O3) and zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic monoliths and their combination are used in both technical and biomedical applications due to their combination of excellent chemical, physical, and mechanical properties. Pressureless sintering (PLS), reaction bonding (RB), hot pressing (HP), hot isostatic pressing (HIP), and spark plasma sintering (SPS) are the sintering methods more commonly used. The high brittleness, the low fracture toughness, and low thermal stability that possess these ceramics are its Achilles heel for numerous engineering applications. The incorporation of a second phase such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into the ceramic matrix has been attempted to overcome these drawbacks but the obtained results are still controversial considering that the homogeneous dispersion of CNTs and the interfacial bonding between two different ceramic materials remains as a difficult task leading to little or even no improvement in mechanical properties. Besides, the role of CNTs in the sintering of ceramic materials is not clear in the scientific literature taking into account parameters such as materials used and particularly inconsistencies in dispersion and mixing of the CNTs. We discuss how the CNTs can affect the sintering behavior and microstructural evolution of alumina and zirconia ceramics and the combination of them
The Emerging Role of Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitors in Treating Diet-Induced Obesity: New Opportunities for Breast and Ovarian Cancers?
Simple Summary This review aims to provide an outline of the potential use of plant-based foods, nutraceuticals, and derived micronutrients-particularly those typically found in the Mediterranean diet-as anticancer agents, with a focus on their mechanism of action as cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (CDKIs) by inactivating the CDK 4/6 pathway and the regulation of the cell-cycle cascade. We discuss the preclinical and pharmacological significance of some already approved CDK blockers as a promising therapeutic approach against breast and ovarian cancers. Overweight and obesity constitute the most impactful lifestyle-dependent risk factors for cancer and have been tightly linked to a higher number of tumor-related deaths nowadays. The excessive accumulation of energy can lead to an imbalance in the level of essential cellular biomolecules that may result in inflammation and cell-cycle dysregulation. Nutritional strategies and phytochemicals are gaining interest in the management of obesity-related cancers, with several ongoing and completed clinical studies that support their effectiveness. At the same time, cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) are becoming an important target in breast and ovarian cancer treatment, with various FDA-approved CDK4/6 inhibitors that have recently received more attention for their potential role in diet-induced obesity (DIO). Here we provide an overview of the most recent studies involving nutraceuticals and other dietary strategies affecting cell-cycle pathways, which might impact the management of breast and ovarian cancers, as well as the repurposing of already commercialized chemotherapeutic options to treat DIO
