    Application of Media Card Sort With Learningapps.org to Practice German Grammar Mastery of Class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 7 Malang

    The purpose of this study was to describe students' activities and responses to students' understanding of grammar related to Verben und Konjugation material with Card Sort media with LearningApps.org. This research was helded offline in class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 7 Malang. The method used is descriptive-qualitative and data was obtained through observation sheets by two observers and response questionnaires filled out by 35 students. Based on the research results, students are actively involved in learning and are very responsive. During the learning process, this media is carried out through group discussions. This media is also able to assist students in understanding conjugation rules and the group of regelmäβige Verben und unregelmäβige Verben. Students also almost have no difficulty in using the media. Overall, the use of Card Sort media with the LearningApps.org application received a positive response from students. This media is a new learning media for almost all students. In terms of convenience, this media is easy to access and use. In addition, this aspect of media display is interesting and fun. Media Card Sort with LearningApps.org is also enough to motivate students in learning. It's just that a few students are more motivated if there is an assessment and ranking

    Development of Game Media „Onet Familie“ to Practice Mastery of German Vocabulary for 11th Grade Students at SMA Negeri 1 Tumpang

    This R&D aims to develop the Onet Familie media game with the theme Familie to train the mastery of German vocabulary for 11th Grade Students at SMA Negeri 1 Tumpang. Onet Familie contains practice questions about vocabulary articles and pictures about family. The model used in this development is a four-D model that has been modified in three stages, namely: (1) Define (definition), (2) Design (planning), and (3) Develop (development). Results of the product validation and testing analyzed descriptively quantitatively with the following results: (a) The validity of the material according to the material expert is 63 percent, (b) The validity of the media according to the media expert is 90.7 percent, and the response of students as test respondents is 81.7 percent. On average, students can complete the practice questions in the Onet Family game media at level 1, 2 and 3 well. Based on the product validity criteria used in this development, the Onet Familie game media is included in the very feasible category, so it can be used as an alternative in learning German vocabulary in class XI SMA

    Problems of Online Learning in Deutsch III Courses for Students of the German Language Education Study Program at the State University of Malang

    This study aims to describe the problems of online learning in the Deutsch III course based on internal factors and external factors for students of the German Language Education Study Program from the State University of Malang, Class of 2020/2021. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with questionnaires and interviews. This research procedure is making an approach instrument, collecting data, analyzing data, triangulating the data that has been collected, and then drawing conclusions. The research results are in the form of a description of the problematic internal factors of students, including a) learning motivation, and b) understanding of the Deutsch III material. Next is a description of the problematic external factors of students, which consist of a) the learning process and b) supporting facilities. Based on the description of the problems of online learning above, both from internal factors and external factors for students, it can be concluded that there are not only negative impacts but also positive impacts accompanying online learning problems in Deutsch III courses

    The Use of LanguageTool in Aufsatz I Course to Support Writing Skills of Students at State University of Malang

    The purpose of this study was to describe the use and response of students to writing skill in the Aufsatz I course using the LanguageTool platform. The method used is descriptive qualitative and the data were obtained from observation and questionnaires sheets. Based on the research results, students are active and enthusiastic while accessing LanguageTool. This platform is easy to access for free and easy to use. Overall, LanguageTool receive a positive response from students. LanguageTool can be used as an alternative medium for self-study in practicing German writing skill. Almost all of students get the feedback on spelling and grammar, while vocabulary requires a premium version to access it. In addition to spelling and grammar, students get feedback on punctuation marks. The deficiency of this platform it requires an internet network to access it and there are still students who experience problems related to this. In addition, there are still errors such as no error detected, no explanation on feedback, incorrect feedback, and error mapping that does not fit the category in LanguageTool

    ABSTRAKPembelajaran budaya dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing khususnya bahasa Jerman tidak mungkin dielakkan, salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran budaya adalah interkultural, yang terfokus pada keberhasilan dalam berkomunikasi dibarengi dengan pemahaman fenomena budaya sehari-hari Jerman dan budaya Indonesia. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah agar guru bahasa Jerman di SMA tidak hanya mengajarkan budaya dengan menghafal tentang fakta dan data  tentang negara Jerman akan tetapi  juga dapat mengajarkan muatan budaya interkultural melalui media digital. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para ketua dan sekretaris MGMP Bahasa Jerman di Jawa Timur. Metode pelaksanaan dirancang dengan empat pokok kegiatan yaitu penyamaan konsep, pemilihan materi, penyusunan media dan presentasi dan evaluasi kegiatan. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring dan luring selama bulan Juni – Oktober 2021 dan hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah lima produk video pembelajaran untuk kelas X- XII dengan menggunakan aplikasi PPT, Canva, Tiktok, Quizziz, dan Quizwhizzer. Akan tetapi hasil penelitian ini masih perlu diperkenalkan dan diujicobakan luas penerapannya di kelas sehingga ada masukan yang berarti untuk perbaikan hasil produk ini. Kata kunci: pembelajaran bahasa asing; budaya; interkultural; digital ABSTRACTCultural learning in foreign language learning especially German is inevitable, one approach to cultural learning is intercultural, whose focus is on success in communicating coupled with an understanding of the daily cultural phenomena of Germany and Indonesian culture.The aim of this activities is the german teacher at high school able to teach culture with intercultural approach with a digital apps. The targets of this activity are the chairmen and secretaries of MGMP German in East Java. The implementation method is planned with four main activities, namely the equalization of concepts, the selection of materials, the preparation of media and presentation and evaluation of activities. The training is conducted online and offline during June – October 2021 and the result of this training is five learning video products for class X-XII using PPT, Canva, Tiktok, Quizziz, and Quizwhizzer applications.     Development of Dachl Cross-Cultural Learning Designs

    The actualization of learning materials needs to be done to create a learning situation that is under the times. In learning German as a foreign language, the concept of DACHL has not been well recognized by every German teacher at the SMA / MA / SMK level. For this reason, adjustments to learning materials, techniques, and learning strategies are considered important so that the German learning process does not only train language skills but also fosters a cross-cultural understanding of these countries and the Indonesian nation itself. This article attempts to describe the results of training activities for the preparation of cross-cultural learning designs for German language teachers at the SMA / MA / SMK levels throughout Malang and its surroundings. This training implementation method which is accommodated in community service activities is designed by adopting an education and training system for ASN, namely on campus and off-campus. Despite undergoing method modifications as a result of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, training is going well.     Preferences of Online Learning Assessment in Higher Education During the Pandemic Based on Perspectives of Students and Lecturers

    This research aimed to describe the preferences of online assessment in German Language learning from the perspectives of students and lecturers at Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia. The research method was descriptive-quantitative and used included a survey questionnaire for 186 students and an interview guide for lecturers in relation to online assessment implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research results showed that the platforms preferred by students and lecturers for German Language learning assessment were WhatsApp Group, LMS, Google Classroom, Edmodo, E-mail, Google Drive, Padlet, and Zoom. The forms of assignments and tests applied for online assessment in German Language learning that were preferred by both students and lecturers were papers/articles, presentation, multiplechoice and true-false questions, essays/short answers, instructional video making, portfolios, projects, discussions, case studies, self-assessment, simulations or practicums, observations, and interviews

    Peer Assessment in German Writing Essay for 11th Graders of Language Class SMA Islam Kepanjen Malang

    This study aims to describe the students' writing errors that often appear in writing essays and to describe results of the peer assessments. This research was conducted offline to 13 students of class XI Language of SMA Islam Kepanjen Malang. To collect data, a test technique was used using instrument, namely the Family theme writing test. Then, the essays were assessed by peers based on completeness of content, communicative form, and grammar. To answer the purpose of describing students' writing errors, the study shows grammatical errors often appear. In the aspect of completeness of content, most of content related to 'hobby' were not written by students. Communicative form errors are made, because they often do not use connecting words between sentences. Related to the second purpose, in peer assessment students are fully involved in identifying errors, correcting, and providing feedback. Grammatical errors also occupy the highest number of errors

    E-learning with the Application Google Classroom for German in Class X Students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Jembrana Bali

    The purpose behind this research is to find out e-learning using the application google classroom for German class X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Jembrana. Researchers used quantitative research methods using statistical techniques and questionnaire data collection with a sample of 26 students. The data of this study were analyzed using SPSS version 23 which is an indicator of the effectiveness of the use of the application google classroom (Variable X) at point number 8 which is 77.33% and the indicator of student response in the ease of accessing the application google classroom at points number 1 & 2 is 77.40 %. As for the indicators of understanding of learning outcomes in items 9 & 11 of 60.80% and indicators of application of items 12 & 13 of 66.76%. The final result of this study shows the use of e-learning with google classroom for German in class X MAN 1 Jembrana, the value of the T-test is obtained P value  (0.000 < 0.05), then e-learning with google classroom is applied to German class X leads to improvement in grades.Keywords: e-learning with google classroom, learning outcomes, Germa

    The Effect of the Implementation the Wordwall Application on the Mastery German Vocabulary for the 11th Graders of SMAN 7 Malang

    This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation the Wordwall application on the mastery German vocabulary for the 11th graders of  SMAN 7 Malang. The approach used in this research is quantitative with quasi-experimental method andresearch design pretest and posttest control group. method Purposive sampling used in sampling is a class XI student Interests German Cross, XI IPS 2 as the control class (using PowerPoint) and XI Languages 1 as an experimental class (using the application Wordwall).The test method was used as a data collection technique. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed by prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. Test the hypothesis using the T test. The results of the analysis show that the probability value (p) < tcount  = 2.001717 < 4.247526, which means H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the implementation the Wordwall application on the mastery German vocabulary for the 11th graders of  SMAN 7 Malang
