Rotation and alignment of high- orbitals in transfermium nuclei
The structure of nuclei with is investigated systematically by the
Cranked Shell Model (CSM) with pairing correlations treated by a
Particle-Number Conserving (PNC) method. In the PNC method, the particle number
is conserved and the Pauli blocking effects are taken into account exactly. By
fitting the experimental single-particle spectra in these nuclei, a new set of
Nilsson parameters ( and ) is proposed. The experimental kinematic
moments of inertia and the band-head energies are reproduced quite well by the
PNC-CSM calculations. The band crossing, the effects of high- intruder
orbitals and deformation are discussed in detail.Comment: To appear in the Proceedings of the International Nuclear Physics

Multi-Objective Ant Colony Algorithm in EPC Risk Control
AbstractAccording to the risks and risk control target in energy performance contracting (EPC), this paper has designed the risk control measure set. On the basis, a risk control model is put forward, including the risk evaluation, risk control cost, risk loss. Then, a multi-objective ant colony algorithm, based on Pareto theory, is used to solve the model. A series of Pareto optimal solutions are got by example. The result shows that the solutions have the better diversity and convergence. At the same time, the model can find the best combination of various risk control measures in EPC, which can provide direct evidence for the company of EPC

Protective Efficacy of Vitamins C and E on p,pâČ-DDT-Induced Cytotoxicity via the ROS-Mediated Mitochondrial Pathway and NF-ÎșB/FasL Pathway
Dichlorodiphenoxytrichloroethane (DDT) is a known persistent organic pollutant and liver damage toxicant. However, there has been little emphasis on the mechanism underlying liver damage toxicity of DDT and the relevant effective inhibitors. Hence, the present study was conducted to explore the protective effects of vitamin C (VC) and vitamin E (VE) on the cytotoxicity of DDT in HL-7702 cells and elaborate the specific molecular mechanisms. The results demonstrated that p,pâČ-DDT exposure at over 10 ”M depleted cell viability of HL-7702 cells and led to cell apoptotic. p,pâČ-DDT treatment elevated the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, induced mitochondrial membrane potential, and released cytochrome c into the cytosol, with subsequent elevations of Bax and p53, along with suppression of Bcl-2. In addition, the activations of caspase-3 and -8 were triggered. Furthermore, p,pâČ-DDT promoted the expressions of NF-ÎșB and FasL. When the cells were exposed to the NF-ÎșB inhibitor (PDTC), the up-regulated expression of FasL was attenuated. Strikingly, these alterations caused by DDT treatment were prevented or reversed by the addition of VC or VE, and the protective effects of co-treatment with VC and VE were higher than the single supplement with p,pâČ-DDT. Taken together, these findings provide novel experimental evidences supporting that VC or/and VE could reduce p,pâČ-DDT-induced cytotoxicity of HL-7702 cells via the ROS-mediated mitochondrial pathway and NF-ÎșB/FasL pathway
Distribution of tick-borne diseases in China
As an important contributor to vector-borne diseases in China, in recent years, tick-borne diseases have attracted much attention because of their increasing incidence and consequent significant harm to livestock and human health. The most commonly observed human tick-borne diseases in China include Lyme borreliosis (known as Lyme disease in China), tick-borne encephalitis (known as Forest encephalitis in China), Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (known as Xinjiang hemorrhagic fever in China), Q-fever, tularemia and North-Asia tick-borne spotted fever. In recent years, some emerging tick-borne diseases, such as human monocytic ehrlichiosis, human granulocytic anaplasmosis, and a novel bunyavirus infection, have been reported frequently in China. Other tick-borne diseases that are not as frequently reported in China include Colorado fever, oriental spotted fever and piroplasmosis. Detailed information regarding the history, characteristics, and current epidemic status of these human tick-borne diseases in China will be reviewed in this paper. It is clear that greater efforts in government management and research are required for the prevention, control, diagnosis, and treatment of tick-borne diseases, as well as for the control of ticks, in order to decrease the tick-borne disease burden in China
A polymorph of diaquaÂbis(pyrazine-2-carboxylÂato-Îș2 N 1,O)copper(II)
The title compound, [Cu(C5H3N2O2)2(H2O)2], is a new polymorph of the previously reported compound [Klein et al. (1982 â¶). Inorg. Chem.
21, 1891â1897]. The CuII atom, lying on an inversion center, is coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from two pyrazine-2-carboxylÂate ligands and by two water molÂecules in a distorted octaÂhedral geometry with the water molÂecules occupying the axial sites. InterÂmolecular OâHâŻO, OâHâŻN and CâHâŻO hydrogen bonds connect the complex molÂecules into a two-dimensional layer parallel to (10), whereas the previously reported polymorph exhibits a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network
ChloridotetraÂkis(pyridine-4-carbÂaldeÂhyde-ÎșN)copper(II) chloride
In the molÂecular structure of the title compound, [CuCl(C6H5NO)4]Cl, the CuII atom is coordinated by four N atoms of four pyridine-4-carboxaldehyde ligands and one chloride anion in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. There is also a non-coordinating Clâ anion in the crystal structure. The CuII atom and both Cl atoms are situated on fourfold rotation axes. A weak CâHâŻCl interÂaction is also present
Movable Fiber-Integrated Hybrid Plasmonic Waveguide on Metal Film
A waveguide structure consisting of a tapered nanofiber on a metal film is
proposed and analyzed to support highly localized hybrid plasmonic modes. The
hybrid plasmonic mode can be efficiently excited through the in-line tapered
fiber based on adiabatic conversion and collected by the same fiber, which is
very convenient in the experiment. Due to the ultrasmall mode area of plasmonic
mode, the local electromagnetic field is greatly enhanced in this movable
waveguide, which is potential for enhanced coherence light emitter
interactions, such as waveguide quantum electrodynamics, single emitter
spectrum and nonlinear optics
