    Burden of overweight and obesity among children studying in schools of Western Rajasthan

    Background: Obesity in children has become a public health concern worldwide with a significant rise in recent years. Aim & Objective: This study aimed to estimate the occurrence of overweight and obesity in adolescents studying in school and to determine the risk factors for obesity as well as overweight in this population. Settings and Design: This cross-sectional research was carried out among adolescent children of age group 12-15 years from Jodhpur's rural and urban schools. Methods and Material: The present study included 1864 school children. A well-structured questionnaire was used to gather data, and the researchers measured weight and height with the help of calibrated tools. Index for Body Mass (BMI) and Z-scores were calculated, and the World Health Organization (WHO) standardized gender-specific growth chart was used to classify children as being overweight and obese. Statistical analysis used: The statistical evaluation was conducted utilising SPSS version 23.0. Chi-square analyses were applied to analyse the relationship of independent variables with overweight/obesity status. Variables showing statistical significance at a 5% level were further analysed using multiple logistic regression. Results: It was discovered that the rate of overweight and obesity among Jodhpur schoolchildren was 23.2%, with 22.9% classified as overweight and 0.3% as obese. The analysis revealed that children attending urban and public schools exhibited higher rates of obesity and overweight compared to those in rural and private schools. Conclusions: The study highlights a considerable burden of overweight among children enrolled in schools of Jodhpur, warranting the implementation of sustainable intervention aimed at encouraging physical exercise and a balanced diet

This review identifies the problems that arise from drug usage in health care delivery system and highlights the current approaches to the rational use of drugs. Objectives: to delineate the various drugs used in psychiatric disorders to find discrepancies, if any, between the actual and the ideal prescribing pattern of psychotropic drugs and to assess prevalence of various psychiatric illnesses .     BackgroundCurrently, there are no guidelines or consensus statements about the usage of inhaled mucoactive drugs in pediatric respiratory disease conditions from an Indian perspective.ObjectiveTo develop a practical consensus document to help pediatricians in clinical decision-making when choosing an appropriate mucoactive drug for the management of specific respiratory disease conditions.MethodsA committee of nine experts with significant experience in pediatric respiratory disease conditions and a microbiological expert constituted the panel. An electronic search of the PubMed/MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Embase databases was undertaken to identify relevant articles. Various combinations of keywords such as inhaled, nebulized, mucoactive, mucolytic, mucokinetic, expectorants, mucoregulators, mucociliary clearance, respiratory disorders, pediatric, cystic fibrosis (CF), non-CF bronchiectasis, acute wheezing, asthma, primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), critically ill, mechanical ventilation, tracheomalacia, tracheobronchomalacia, esophageal atresia (EA), tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF), acute bronchiolitis, sputum induction, guideline, and management were used. Twelve questions were drafted for discussion. A roundtable meeting of experts was conducted to arrive at a consensus. The level of evidence and class of recommendation were weighed and graded.ConclusionsInhaled mucoactive drugs (hypertonic saline, dry powder mannitol, and dornase alfa) can enhance mucociliary clearance in children with CF. Experts opined that hypertonic saline could be beneficial in non-CF bronchiectasis, acute bronchiolitis, and PCD. The current state of evidence is inadequate to support the use of inhaled mucoactive drugs in asthma, acute wheezing, tracheomalacia, tracheobronchomalacia, and EA with TEF

Text mining techniques have the potential to analyze such massive databases of the textual description of bug reports to classify bug severity levels adequately. Word embedding is a state-of-art text mining technique that captures the semantics of the text and group the words according to their relevance in a document. Words are embedded into real-valued vectors through word-embedding models. Word2vec is a word embedding model, proven to be effective in representing word meanings. However, the configuration of hyperparameters and feature selection affects the performance of word2vec. Tuning hyperparameter is a time-consuming process, and it is crucial to identify the correct set of parameters. The paper outlines the effectiveness of word2vec technique on the efficiency of classifiers to predict a bug severity from a bug report and examines the impact of different averaging methods, including the configuration of word embedding parameters on the classifiers’ efficiency. Results show that the bigger window size enhances the performance of classifiers; however, the influence of the minimum word count parameter was found to be mixed and depends on the selected data sets. Further, out of the classifiers used, Random Forest and Xgboost could classify the severity level for classes with few records or a rare occurrence of words specific to each class. Otherwise, Support Vector Machine and Naive Bayes classifiers performed better and worst, respectively
