Self-compassion, hope, and well-being of women experiencing primary and secondary infertility: An application of the biopsychosocial model
Infertility is experienced by 10% of couples in the United States. This study examined the well-being of 119 women experiencing primary infertility and 53 women experiencing secondary infertility. Utilizing the biopsychosocial model, this study explored the biological variable of infertility type; the psychological variables of self-compassion, hope, subjective well-being, and fertility-related stress; and the social variable of online support group use. Data were collected using an online survey and correlations and regression analyses were run to assess for relationships between the variables of interest and for moderation and mediation. No significant differences were found in the reported levels of subjective well-being or fertility-related stress in the two groups of women. Yet the type of infertility moderated the relationship between hope and fertility-related stress and for women with primary infertility, self-compassion mediated the relationship between hope and positive affect and negative affect
Experimental Zirconium Granulomas and Chondromas in CBA Mice
The intradermal as well as intraperitoneal injection of zirconium salts in CBA/J mice produced local foreign body type granulomas which regularly persisted for over eight months. None of the animals exhibited evidence of the late delayed immune type of epithelioid cell granulomatous hypersensitivity such as has been induced experimentally in man. Benign chondromas developed locally in the ear cartilage plate in half of the mice who had received zirconium injections in this area
Breves reflexiones sobre la racionalidad del proceso legislativo y su impacto en la presunción y en el control de constitucionalidad de la ley penal

CERNAS: Current Evolution and Research Novelty in Agricultural Sustainability
Climate changes pose overwhelming impacts on primary production and, consequently, on
agricultural and animal farming. Additionally, at present, agriculture still depends strongly on
fossil fuels both for energy and production factors ,such as synthetized inorganic fertilizers and
harmful chemicals such as pesticides. The need to feed the growing world population poses many
challenges. The need to reduce environmental impacts to a minimum, maintain healthy ecosystems,
and improve soil microbiota are central to ensuring a promising future for coming generations.
Livestock production under cover crop systems helps to alleviate compaction so that oxygen and
water can sufficiently flow in the soil, add organic matter, and help hold soil in place, reducing
crusting and protecting against erosion. The use of organic plant production practices allied to
the control of substances used in agriculture also decisively contributes to alleviating the pressure
on ecosystems. Some of the goals of this new decade are to use enhanced sustainable production
methodologies to improve the input/output ratios of primary production, reduce environmental
impacts, and rely on new innovative technologies.
This reprint addresses original studies and reviews focused on the current evolution and
research novelty in agricultural sustainability. New developments are discussed on issues related
to quality of soil, natural fertilizers, or the sustainable use of land and water. Also, crop protection
techniques are pivotal for sustainable food production under the challenges of the Sustainable
Development Goals of the United Nations, allied to innovative weed control methodologies as a
way to reduce the utilization of pesticides. The role of precision and smart agriculture is becoming
more pertinent as communication technologies improve at a rapid rate. Waste management, reuse of
agro-industrial residues, extension of shelf life, and use of new technologies are ways to reduce food
waste, all contributing to higher sustainability in food supply chains, leading to a more rational use
of natural resources. The unquestionable role of bees as pollinators and contributors to biodiversity
is adjacent to characterizing beekeeping activities, which in turn contributes, together with the
valorization of endemic varieties of plant foods, to the development of local communities. Finally,
the short circuits and local food markets have a decisive role in the preservation and enhancement of

Socio-demographic risk factors for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke: a study in tertiary care hospital of hyderabad
Stroke is a common neurological disorder and major cause of death and disability worldwide. Stroke is a second leading cause of death after cancer and ischemic heart disease. Incidence of stroke has not been well studied in Pakistan but it is estimated that 350,000 cases of stroke occur per year. Objective: To determine the frequencies and Socio-demographic features of Hemorrhagic and Ischemic strokes among stroke patients in tertiary care hospital.Material & method:This cross-sectional study was carried out at department of medicine Liaquat university hospital Hyderabad from June to September 2010, Patients were included in study according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. A data was collected on pre-designed proforma and data was analyzed according to study design. Results: Out of 261 included stroke patients, 54% were males and 46% were female patients. The mean age of patients was 54.7 years. In 172 patients (66%) had Ischemic stroke whereas 89 (34%) patients had hemorrhagic stroke noted in this study. The high proportion of patients (36.4%) were between i.e., 55-64 years, Most of them (79%) were married, only 8% were unmarried and 13% were widowed, divorced or separated. In this study (67.0%) patients of both sexes were illiterate, Positive family history of stroke was noted in 24.5% patients. Regarding Stroke types 66% had Ischemic and 34% had hemorrhagic stroke. Incidence of Ischemic stroke was more in females (70.8%) and hemorrhagic stroke was more in males (38.3%).CONCLUSION: This study on socio demographic factors of stroke patients is the effort by which we would be able to take appropriate preventive measures to create awareness about stroke. In future more extensive surveys should be conducted to get knowledge about the effects of demographic and other factors on the onset of stroke
Development and Implementation of an Influenza Point-of-Care Testing Service in a Chain Community Pharmacy Setting
Point-of-care testing is becoming increasingly commonplace in community pharmacy settings. These tests are often used in the management of chronic disease, such as blood sugar, hemoglobin A1c and lipid levels, but can also be used for acute conditions such as influenza infection and group A streptococcus pharyngitis. When used for these acute infections, point-of-care tests can allow for pharmacist-initiated treatment. In this study, an influenza point-of-care testing service was developed and implemented in a chain community pharmacy setting and a retrospective review was conducted to assess the service. Of patients tested, 29% tested positive for influenza A and/or B; 92% of patients testing positive received a prescription as a result. While health insurance cannot be billed for the service due to current pharmacy reimbursement practices, this did not appear to negatively affect patient willingness to participate. As point-of-care testing services become more commonplace in community pharmacy settings, patient awareness will similarly increase and allow for more widespread access to acute outpatient care
