    Multimedia data security is very important for multimedia commerce on the internet and real time data multicast. An striking solution for encrypting data with adequate message security at low cost is the use of Scrambler/Descrambler. Scramblers are necessary components of physical layer system standards besides interleaved coding and modulation. Scramblers are well used in modern VLSI design especially those are used in data communication system either to secure data or re-code periodic sequence of binary bits stream. However, it is necessary to have a descrambler block on the receiving side while using scrambling data in the transmitting end to have the actual input sequence on the receiving end. Scrambling and De-scrambling is an algorithm that converts an input string into a seemingly random string of the same length to avoid simultaneous bits in the long format of data. Scramblers have accomplish of uses in today's data communication protocols. On the other hand, those methods that are theoretical proposed are not feasible in the modern digital design due to many reasons such as slower data rate, increasing information, circuit hazards, uncountable hold-up etc. Therefore it is requisite for the modern digital design to have modified architecture to meet the required goal. We will recommend here modified scrambler design which is perfectly suitable for any industrial design

    Effectiveness of Campus Health Communications in Engaging International Students

    This study explored the levels of interaction from international students through the utilization of health and wellness resources at the Barnes Center at The Arch. This study focuses on establishing which service topics are most utilized and which are least utilized, as well as the channels of communications through which international students have found or interacted with information about these services and topics. The five topics and services that this study explored are as follows: Mental Health, Sexual Health & Safety, Alcohol & Drug Awareness, Healthcare, and Recreation. This study found that Healthcare and Recreation had the highest levels of utilization now or in the future, while Alcohol & Drug Awareness and Sexual Health & Safety had the lowest utilization now or in the future. Chinese students and female-identifying students were the highest numbers of participants. The study also found that international students prefer newsletters and emails, as well as social media such as Instagram and Facebook when receiving information about health and wellness services and topics. This study includes recommendations on how to incorporate communications strategies to incorporate the findings as well as areas for further research

    DEVELOPMENT OF FLOATING GASTRORETENTIVE DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM BASED ON A NOVEL EXCIPIENT FOR METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE USING MIXTURE DESIGN

    Objective: The present study aimed to develop a new SR metformin hydrochloride (MH) gastroretentive formulation with novel excipient (NE), which has better floatation and can be prepared with more simple pharmaceutical techniques for the treatment of diabetes Mellitus. Methods: A gastro-retentive floating matrix tablet (GFT) formulation of MH was prepared using various concentrations of PEO (Polyox WSR-303) and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose K100M (HPMC K100 M) and Floating agent (novel excipient) to achieve desirable TFT, FLT and drug release. The wet granulation method was selected using isopropyl alcohol as a binder for the preparation of tablets. D-optimal non-simplex mixture design was used for the selection of suitable polymer concentrations and floating agents. Release kinetics was used to determine the mechanism of drug release. Results: It was observed that GFT with optimum quantities of PEO, HPMC K100M, and the floating agent showed 100 % of drug release in 24h with FT up to 24h and minimum FLT of less than 2 min. Formulation with an in vitro release profile slower to the marketed sample was prepared. Conclusion: A sustained-release (GFT) of MH tablets using PEO, HPMC K100M, and an effervescent system was successfully prepared. A GFT formulation with an in vitro release profile slower to the marketed sample that releases MH for 24h may suitable for once-daily dosing can be prepared

    A Novel Approach For Face Recognition Using Fusion Of Local Gabor Patterns

    For face recognition, Gabor features are effectively used. But, only a few approaches used Gabor phase features and they are performing worse than the Gabor magnitude features. To determine the potential of Gabor phase and its fusion with magnitude for face recognition, in this paper, we have proposed local Gabor XOR pattern (LGXP) operator, which encode Gabor phase. Then we introduce block-based Fisher’s linear discriminant (BFLD) for reduce dimensionality of proposed operator and at same time discriminative power also get enhanced. At last, by using BFLD we fuse Gabor phase and Gabor magnitude for face recognition. We evaluate our method for FERET database.
