The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of branding in the music streaming industry while considering the three companies, which include Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music. Following the quantitative research methodology, the researcher survey 80 music listeners in the university. Based on the results, the responses of participants were oriented towards Spotify. In regards to the preferences of music streaming services, Spotify lied on the first preference. Meanwhile, Apple Music lied at the second number. Whereas, Tidal lied on the third number followed by a minimal amount of responses for its services chosen by the consumers. Branding has main stake in the music streaming services industry. The evaluation of branding of three brands such as Tidal, Apple Music and Spotify provide the differing results. Tidal and Apple Music have good branding and its impact on the consumer choice. However, Tidal followed by Apple Music has lower impact when it comes to compare the results and responses with Spotify. An examination of consistency theory and employee performance through the lenses of SMEs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

This paper advances our understanding of the variables contributing towards the consistent performance of employees in the SMEs of U.A.E. No such study has been conducted in the Arab world yet. This study applies concepts examined in developed countries (with regards to the large organizations) to the SMEs in a developing country. Data was collected from 107 SME managers/owners working in U.A.E. Results indicated that the variables studied in developed countries are valid in U.A.E as well; a country with predominantly Arab culture. Findings suggest that all the variables discussed in this research are positively correlated with the consistent performance of the SMEs’ employees in U.A.E

Simulink Analysis and Mathematical Modeling of Parameters Variation for Thyristor based Speed Controller of Single Phase Induction Motor

The thyristor is a power electronics device that is widely used in various electrical appliances due to its lower on-conduction losses, easyavailability, lower switching loss, greater efficiency and cost-benefit. Mostly a thyristor is used in rectifiers and variable-speed drives. Almost 70% of loads used in the world consists of induction motors in various types and forms. In this work, a thyristor-based controller is used to control the speed of a single phase induction motor by adjusting the firing angle for the gate terminal of the thyristor. Depending upon the firing angle, the output voltage, output current, speed, power factor and the total harmonic distortion are varied which is analyzed through MATLAB/Simulink. Further curve fitting technique is used to formulate the mathematical relationships between varying parameters concerning thyristor’s firing angle. The findings of this work are helpful to achieve the best curve fit model for varying parameters concerningthe thyristor firing angle. Full Tex
