Design of Linearly Polarized Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna Using IE3D/PSO
In this project, a novel particle swarm optimization method based on IE3D is used to design an Inset Feed Linearly Polarized Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna. The aim of the thesis is to Design and fabricate an inset fed rectangular Microstrip Antenna and study the effect of antenna dimensions Length (L) , Width (W) and substrate parameters relative Dielectric constant (εr) , substrate thickness on Radiation parameters of Band width. Low dielectric constant substrates are generally preferred for maximum radiation. The conducting patch can take any shape but rectangular and circular configurations are the most commonly used configuration. Other configurations are complex to analyze and require heavy numerical computations. The length of the antenna is nearly half wavelength in the dielectric; it is a very critical parameter, which governs the resonant frequency of the antenna. In view of design, selection of the patch width and length are the major parameters along with the feed line depth. Desired Patch antenna design is initially simulated by using IE3D simulator. And Patch antenna is realized as per design requirements
Exploring Sentiment Analysis in Social Media: A Natural Language Processing Case Study
Social media plays an integral role in our daily lives, influencing and reflecting global perspectives through the consumption and creation of content. Platforms like YouTube are incredibly active, with a constant influx of video uploads, views, and comments. While the YouTube app allows us to browse videos and comments, it offers only a limited glimpse into the interests and trends of others. Analysing this vast data pool, encompassing diverse language styles, presents a significant challenge. This article delves into the YouTube Data API and its application in Python for accessing raw data. The process involves data cleaning using advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, harnessing Python-based machine learning to explore social media interactions, and automating the extraction of trends and influential factors. The journey towards trend analysis is meticulously detailed, featuring examples that leverage a variety of open-source Python tools
Constant-Roll Inflation in modified gravity model using Palatini Formalism
In this work, we study a constant-roll inflationary model in the Palatini
formalism using modified gravity. Here our action consists a non-minimal
coupling of a scalar field with Ricci scalar in a general form of
. Using Palatini approach, we write its equivalent scalar-tensor
form in the Einstein frame and then apply the constant-roll condition in the
equation of motion for the inflaton field. Later the tensor-to-scalar ratio and
the spectral index are calculated using the slow-roll parameters and the
results obtained are matched with the Planck 2018 data. We found that the
results agree nicely with the observations within the parameter regime under
consideration.Comment: 13 Pages and 10 Figure
Green Tobacco Sickness: A Review
It is still an unknown fact among many that tobacco harvesters are at a potential at a risk of suffering from “Green Tobacco Sickness (GTS)”, with its prevalence seen mostly among Asian and South American tobacco harvesters. These harvesters working in hot, wet conditions are likely to develop GTS, as in such climatic conditions, the wetness and high humidity causes nicotine to reside on the surfaces of the leaves, while the high ambient temperature increases skin absorption, thereby increasing plasma nicotine concentrations by 30-45%. Patients suffering from GTS report nausea, vomiting, pallor, dizziness, headaches, increased perspiration, chills, abdominal pain, diarrhea, increased salivation, prostration, weakness, cough with or without expectoration, breathlessness and occasional reduction in blood pressure or heart rate. GTS is self-limiting and of short duration and hence treatment is not always necessary and not often sought by the harvesters. This review educates readers about GTS as well as encourages their participation in making tougher regulations in their respective countries for the control of this disease

The Impact of Labor Regulations on Jobs and Wages in India: Evidence from a Natural Experiment
In this paper we examine the impact of India's labor regulations on employment and wages through the lens of the apparel and textiles industry, India’s largest manufacturing employer. In addition to exploiting cross-state variation in labor regulations, we take advantage of the 2005 abolition of quota restrictions on developing countries’ exports of apparel and textiles products to the developed world and use this as a natural experiment to identify the effects of labor regulations. Employing a difference-in-difference strategy, we find economically and statistically significant gains in post-2005 employment and wage in the apparel and textiles industry in states that maintained more flexible labor regulations as compared to states with inflexible regulations. These gains are either absent or muted in the case of labor intensive industries other than apparel and textiles
Rarefied gas flow past a liquid droplet: interplay between internal and external flows
Experimental and theoretical studies on millimetre-sized droplets suggest
that at low Reynolds number the difference between the drag force on a
circulating water droplet and that on a rigid sphere is very small (less than 1
%) (LeClair et al., J. Atmos. Sci., vol. 29, 1972, pp. 728-740). While the drag
force on a spherical liquid droplet at high viscosity ratios (of the liquid to
the gas), is approximately the same as that on a rigid sphere of the same size,
the other quantities of interest (e.g. the temperature) in the case of a
rarefied gas flow over a liquid droplet differ from the same quantities in the
case of a rarefied gas flow over a rigid sphere. The goal of this article is to
study the effects of internal motion within a spherical
microdroplet/nanodroplet -- such that its diameter is comparable to the mean
free path of the surrounding gas -- on the drag force and its overall dynamics.
To this end, the problem of a slow rarefied gas flowing over an incompressible
liquid droplet is investigated analytically by considering the internal motion
of the liquid inside the droplet and also by accounting for kinetic effects in
the gas. Detailed results for different values of the Knudsen number, the ratio
of the thermal conductivities and the ratio of viscosities are presented for
the pressure and temperature profiles inside and outside the liquid droplet.
The results for the drag force obtained in the present work are in good
agreement with the theoretical and experimental results existing in the
literature.Comment: 39 pages, 15 figure
Pulmonary blastomycosis on autopsy: a rare case report
A case of pulmonary blastomycosis on autopsy in a middle aged male from rural background is presented herewith. Blastomycosis is a pyogranulomatous disease caused by the dimorphic fungus blastomyces dermatitidis. Blastomycosis is endemic in regions of North America that border the Great Lakes. It is one of the great mimickers in medicine. Pulmonary blastomycosis has a broad range of clinical presentations, varying from completely asymptomatic pulmonary infiltrates to diffuse and massive parenchymal involvement that can lead to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Human infection occurs when soil containing microfoci of mycelia is distributed and airborne conidia are inhaled. If natural defences in the alveoli fail to contain the infection, lymphohematogenous dissemination ensues. Diagnosis is based on culture and direct visualization of round, multinucleated yeast forms that produce daughter cells from a single broad- based bud. Most of the cases of blastomycosis reported in India are imported from the endemic areas of the World except a few authochthonous cases in North India
Isolated tuberculous epididymo-orchitis masquerading as testicular tumor: a diagnostic dilemma
Isolated tuberculous epididymo-orchitis is rare and may present with clinical and radiological features similar to those of testicular tumor. It is thus a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. A 40 yrs old male presented with left sided mass in scrotum for past 6 months, which was clinically and radiologically diagnosed as testicular tumor with hydrocele. FNAC was attempted twice but was inconclusive. Left sided orchiectomy was done. However, the histopathological findings of testicular mass revealed features consistent with tuberculous epididymo- orchitis (TEO). This case emphasizes that patient may present with isolated TEO, which is considered an unusual presentation of tuberculosis and can masquerade as testicular tumor clinically and radiologically. But in countries where prevalence of tuberculosis is high, tuberculous orchitis must be considered in the differential diagnosis of testicular swellings
Probing the evolution of electronic phase-coexistence in complex systems by terahertz radiation
In complex oxides, the electrons under the influence of competing energetics
are the cornerstone of coexistence (or phase-separation) of two or more
electronic/magnetic phases in same structural configuration. Probing of growth
and evolution of such phase-coexistence state is crucial to determine the
correct mechanism of related phase-transition. Here, we demonstrate the
combination of terahertz (THz) time-domain spectroscopy and DC transport as a
novel strategy to probe the electronic phase-coexistence. This is demonstrated
in disorder controlled phase-separated rare-earth nickelate thin films which
exhibit metal-insulator transition in dc conductivity at around 180 K but lack
this transition in terahertz (THz) dynamics conductivity down to low
temperature. Such pronounced disparity exploits two extreme attributes: i)
enormous sensitivity of THz radiation to a spatial range of its
wavelength-compatible electronic inhomogeneities and ii) insensitivity to a
range beyond the size of its wavelength. This feature is generic in nature
(sans a photo-induced effect), depends solely on the size of
insulating/metallic clusters and formulates a methodology with unique
sensitivity to investigate electronic phase-coexistence and phase transition of
any material system
Exploring Latent Characteristics of Fake Reviews and Their Intermediary Role in Persuading Buying Decisions
Online reviews play a significant role in shaping consumer purchase decisions. Accordingly, emergence of fake reviews has proliferated as an instrument to manipulate customers’ buying preferences. Such manifestation, however, lacks theoretical grounding and remains under researched due to two notable challenges: first, absence of conceptual underpinnings between consumers’ writing style and recommendation behavior. Second, little knowledge about the role of product characteristics underlying fake reviews and their influence on nudging product preferences. Through the lens of environmental psychology, this study uses an empirical investigation utilizing natural language processing (NLP) to uncover latent product-specific features underlying customer reviews and their impact on persuading buying preferences. As a major finding, we observe that characteristics underlying fake reviews, as opposed to genuine ones, fail to influence product recommendation or discouragement. Accordingly, we suggest firms permitting fake reviews on their portals to be aware of the limited economic advantages of such practices
