    Based on field observations, it is observed that student achievement in MTsN Kuranji Padang is still low. Researchers suspect that principal leadership and teacher performance affect student achievement in MTsN Kuranji Padang, therefore a research is conducted to test the truth. This study aims to reveal the contribution of principal leadership and teacher performance to student achievement discipline in MTsN Kuranji Padang. The hypothesis proposed in this research are: 1) principal leadership contributes to student achievement; 2) teachers' performance contributes to student preservation; 3) the principal's leadership and teacher performance contribute jointly to student achievement The population in this research is all students of MTsN Kuranji Padang. Sampling was done using Stratified Proportional Random Sampling technique. Selected samples were 76 people. Data were collected by questionnaire with Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed by correlation and regression technique. The results of the data analysis show that: 1) the principal's leadership contributes to student achievement of 14. 4%; 2) teacher performance contributes to student achievement of 14.2% and 3) principal's leadership and teacher performance together contributes to student achievement 19 4%.     Supervisi harus dilaksanakan oleh pengwas dalam rangka membantu tupoksi manajerial kepala sekolah. Tujuannya agar keterampilan dan pengetahuan kepala sekolah berkembang lebih maju dalam menjalankan dan mengatur sebuah sekolah untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang diharapakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis non random sampling karena semua populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Dengan jumlah sampel 16 orang.     Supervisi merupakan bantuan yang diberikan kepala sekolah dalam memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kinerja guru. masih ditemukan beberapa permasalahan yaitu masih terdapat beberapa guru yang lemah dalam bidang pedagogi, seperti kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran, kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah supervisi memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi pedagogic guru. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 70 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket/pertanyaan yang diberikan kepada responden untuk mengumpulkan data yang valid dan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi untuk memperkuat hasil yang ditemukan di lapangan. Hasil yang ditemukan adalah supervisi akademik dan supervisi klinis yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah masih cukup baik, hal ini berdampak pada kompetensi pedagogik guru yang masih lemah

    The Influence of School Principal Supervision and School Climate on Teacher Performance in MTSN Parak Laweh Padang

    Based on field observations, it is observed that teachers\u27 performance at MTsNParakLaweh Padang is still low. Researchers suspect that supervision of school principals and school climate affects teacher performance in MTsNParakLaweh Padang, therefore a research is conducted to test the truth. This study aims to reveal the influence of school principal supervision and school climate on teacher performance at MTsNParakLaweh Padang. The hypothesis proposed in this study are: 1) If supervision of principal high, hence giving high influence to teacher performance; 2) If the high school climate, then give a high influence on teacher performance; 3) If the principal\u27s supervision and high school climate, then give a high influence collectively on the performance of teachers. This research was conducted by using correlational quantitative method. The population of this research is all teachers of MTsNParakLaweh Padang. The sample of this research is taken by using Stratified Proportional Random Sampling technique. Samples obtained 54 people. Data were collected by questionnaire with Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed by correlation and regression technique.The result of data analysis shows that: 1) supervisor of principal has an effect on teacher performance 11,4%, 2) school climate influence to teacher performance equal to 5.1% and 3) supervision of headmaster and school climate together influence to teacher performance equal to 15.2%. Based on the descriptive analysis revealed that the principal\u27s supervision and school climate are equally influential to improve teacher performance
