    No full text
Radiological methods of examination found their position in diagnosis of the pathological states and disorders of the urosystem due to their objectivity and possibilities. They attained such a position by their capability to present anatomical, morphological and functional status of the urosistem. However, the risks lurking and threatening during their use, especially ionisation and complication connected with iodine contrast instruct us that they should be used only with strict indications, educated personal and fulfilled standars of protection. The aim of the article is to present the algorhytm, the value and importance of radiological methods of examination in diagnosis of the pathological states and discordes of urosystem. The presented material consists of the gathered experience, based on 7.135 urographic, and the other necessary, examinations, done from 1994. to 2001. in the Specialist service of the Intitute for radiology in Nis, as well as from literary reviews..In conclusion author remarks that in diagnosis of the urosystem, radiological methodes of examination are infallible and unsurpased by other diagnostical methodes

The paper presents a clinical image, course and state of anaphylactic shock manifested in uneasiness, nausea, instinct on vomiting, vomiting, contractions of intestines, red skin face, narrowing, hypotension, epileptic seizure in a thirty-year-old patient, which happened after the i.v. injection application of non-ionic iodic contrast media (Iopromide; Ultravist 300® - Schering) at urography. The autors point to the fact that the application of non-ionic iodic contrast media does not provide an absolute protection of patients. On the contrary, even these iodic contrast media can lead to a serious reacton. Moreover, they stress the importance of knowing possible complications at applying ionic contrast media as well as the importance of anti-shock therapy and aquipment

Fortrans® is a laxative in the form of the powder which is used for making solution for oral application. Laxative effects are achieved over long linear polymer (polyethylene-glikol - PEG 4000) which binds water molecules, increasing thus the volume of fluids in the intestinal tract.Material of study comprises 150 irrigographies made at the Institute of Radiology of the Clinical Center in Nis in the period from January 2004 to Jun 2005.The preparation in these cases was done by Fortrans®. The contrast medium used was barium sulfate. The results of study are presented in illustrations and irrigograms. In conclusion,we can say that Fortrans® provides reliable, effective and simple preparation of patients for irrigography as well as for fast, comfortable and efficient endographic examination (irrigography). The obtained irrigograms are of satisfactory quality, showing sharp contrasts
