Chemical Raman Enhancement of Organic Adsorbates on Metal Surfaces
Using a combination of first-principles theory and experiments, we provide a
quantitative explanation for chemical contributions to surface-enhanced Raman
spectroscopy for a well-studied organic molecule, benzene thiol, chemisorbed on
planar Au(111) surfaces. With density functional theory calculations of the
static Raman tensor, we demonstrate and quantify a strong mode-dependent
modification of benzene thiol Raman spectra by Au substrates. Raman active
modes with the largest enhancements result from stronger contributions from Au
to their electron-vibron coupling, as quantified through a deformation
potential, a well-defined property of each vibrational mode. A straightforward
and general analysis is introduced that allows extraction of chemical
enhancement from experiments for specific vibrational modes; measured values

The analysis technique used in this research by using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The data analyzed comes from the distribution of questionnaires to consumers by using accidental sampling technique at PT. Intiland, Tbk located in Tangerang area, which is Talaga Bestari. The results was obtained that there was a positive relationship between marketing mix and brand management on customer loyalty
Determining optimal outcome measures in a trial investigating no routine gastric residual volume measurement in critically ill children
Background
Choosing trial outcome measures is important. When outcomes are not clinically relevant or important to parents/patients, trial evidence is less likely to be implemented into practice. This study aimed to determine optimal outcome measures for a trial of no routine gastric residual volume measurement in critically ill children.
Methods: A mixed methods approach: a focused literature review, parent and clinician interviews, a modified two-round Delphi and a stakeholder consensus meeting.
Results: The review generated 13 outcomes. 14 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) parents proposed 3 additional outcomes, these 16 were then rated by 28 clinicians in Delphi round 1. Six further outcomes were proposed, and 22 outcomes were rated in the second round. No items were voted ‘consensus out’. The 18 ‘no-consensus’ items were voted in a face-to-face meeting by 30 participants. The final 12 outcome measures were: Time to reach energy targets; ventilator associated pneumonia; vomiting; time enteral feeds withheld per 24 hour; necrotizing enterocolitis; length of invasive ventilation; PICU length of stay; mortality; change in weight and markers of feed intolerance: parenteral nutrition administered; feed formula altered and changing to post-pyloric feeds all secondary to feed intolerance.
Conclusion: We have identified 12 outcomes for a trial of no gastric residual volume measurement through a multi-stage process, seeking views of parents and clinicians.

Observation of hard scattering in photoproduction events with a large rapidity gap at HERA
Events with a large rapidity gap and total transverse energy greater than 5 GeV have been observed in quasi-real photoproduction at HERA with the ZEUS detector. The distribution of these events as a function of the γp centre of mass energy is consistent with diffractive scattering. For total transverse energies above 12 GeV, the hadronic final states show predominantly a two-jet structure with each jet having a transverse energy greater than 4 GeV. For the two-jet events, little energy flow is found outside the jets. This observation is consistent with the hard scattering of a quasi-real photon with a colourless object in the proton. © 1995
Diffractive Dijet Cross Sections in Photoproduction at HERA
Differential dijet cross sections have been measured with the ZEUS detector for photoproduction events in which the hadronic final state containing the jets is separated with respect to the outgoing proton direction by a large rapidity gap. The cross section has been measured as a function of the fraction of the photon (xγOBS) and pomeron (βOBS) momentum participating in the production of the dijet system. The observed xγOBS dependence shows evidence for the presence of a resolved-as well as a direct-photon component. The measured cross section dσ/dβOBS increases as βOBS increases indicating that there is a sizeable contribution to dijet production from those events in which a large fraction of the pomeron momentum participates in the hard scattering. These cross sections and the ZEUS measurements of the diffractive structure function can be described by calculations based on parton densities in the pomeron which evolve according to the QCD evolution equations and include a substantial hard momentum component of gluons in the pomeron

Study of the photon remnant in resolved photoproduction at HERA
Photoproduction at HERA is studied in ep collisions, with the ZEUS detector, for γp centre-of-mass energies ranging from 130-270 GeV. A sample of events with two high-pT jets (pT \u3e 6 GeV, η \u3c 1.6) and a third cluster in the approximate direction of the electron beam is isolated using a clustering algorithm. These events are mostly due to resolved photoproduction. The third cluster is identified as the photon remnant. Its properties, such as the transverse and longitudinal energy flows around the axis of the cluster, are consistent with those commonly attributed to jets, and in particular with those found for the two jets in these events. The mean value of the photon remnant pT with respect to the beam axis is measured to be 2.1 ± 0.2 GeV, which demonstrates substantial mean transverse momenta for the photon remnant. © 1995
