The aim of this paper is to relate the concept of Marketing Mavens with consumer switching. The Paper examines the influence of different personality factors based on different categories of Market Mavens on customer switching. Our research investigate the role Personality of Market Maven considering fivefactor model comprised of five personality dimensions (OCEAN), and Myer Briggs Type indicator (MBTI). MBTI, also known as four opposite pairs or dichotomies of personality dimensions, being one and other OCEAN, in our research are studied using different levels Involvement (High, Low) of consumer and Value of offering (High End/ Low End) associated with Consumer Switching. A Marketing Maven’s influence on a consumer will differ according to their personality with level of a consumer’s involvement and type of a product being offered based on its value. For Example, we suggest that Marketing Mavens who are having too much of information will tend to be perspective and not Judgmental. Similarly, for low end/low involvement products maven will be more of Sensing and Thinking Personality trait, but for high end products he will tend to be Intuitive and feeling and hence will influence Switching accordingly

AbstractIn recent years, major upheavals in the global business environment have paved way for an intensely competitive global marketplace. As such, competition to retain the most skilled and talented employee has grown and organizations use innovative and unconventional strategies to combat this situation. The unique attribute that differentiates successful companies all over the world is their unique organizational culture that helps in achieving organizational effectiveness and helps in retaining and attracting talented personnel. Therefore, HR practitioners nowadays are considering organization culture and innovative employee benefit as an important impetus of employee behavior. As Organization Culture and employee benefits are interrelated constituents of a broad organizational system framework that helps in achieving strategic goals of the organization, alignment and synchronization between the two is very important. When these two important variables of the organization system are not in congruence with each other they send conflicting signals that creates confusion in the minds of employees. This paper investigates the relationship between employee benefits and various organization culture typologies and suggests the best possible scenario for optimal performance. Based on Competing Values Framework which is the most detailed model that describes content and strength of organization culture. We have used various typologies viz. clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy and unconventional employee benefits like flexi-time, Employee referral scheme, Educational Benefit and Workplace recreation to put forth 4 propositions . More specifically, authors developed a theoretical framework which finds that clan culture emphasizes on flexi-time & educational benefits programs; adhocracy culture emphasizes on referral scheme & worksite recreational benefits, and market culture is positively associated with employee referral programsKeywords: Organizational Culture, Employee Benefits, Flexi Time, Employee Referral Scheme, Educational Benefi

AbstractThe paper investigates the relationship between SMAC capabilities in productivity, innovation and competitive advantage for supply chain performance. This paper shows how SMAC technologies insight into business issues to increase supply chain performances. So, the main objective is to develop a model to transform the organization into sustainable businesses. More specifically, authors developed a theoretical framework which finds that SMAC (Social media, Mobile, Analytics, and Cloud) capabilities have a positive impact on supply chain performance in terms of productivity, competitive advantage, and innovation. The paper draws from literature and experiential knowledge of other authors with the perspective of SMAC technologies in supply chain management to address the objective of the paper. Keywords: SMAC, Supply Chain, Productivity, Innovation, Competitive Advantag

It is indeed a real pleasure to announce the publication of this special issue, Sustainable Operations in Manufacturing Enterprise (SOME), for Annals of Operations Research. Overall, many papers were received for this special issue, and based on reviewer reports the best papers are included in this issue. This special issue is focused primarily on the three sustainable aspects, 3Ps of sustainability: profit, planet, and people. The accepted papers focus on sustainability, circular economy, mutli-criteria decision making (MCDM), optimization modelling using mixed integer linear/non-linear program (MLP/MINLP), and data envelopment analysis (DEA) having some applications to industry and society were considered

Lagrangian based approach to solve a two level capacitated lot sizing problem

Two-level, multi-item, multi-period-capacitated dynamic lot-sizing problem with inclusions of backorders and setup times, TL_CLSP_BS, a well-known NP-hard problem, is solved using a novel procedure. Lagrangian relaxation of the material balance constraint reduces TL_CLSP_BS to a single-constraint continuous knapsack problem. Reduced problem is solved using bounded variable linear programs (BVLPs). We obtain promising bounds, which provides a better start to the branch-and-bound procedure. Limited empirical investigations are carried out on four problem sizes. In terms of computational time, the developed procedure is efficient than the CPLEX solver of GAMS. Further, while GAMS could not solve the largest problem size considered here, our procedure could solve the same in around one second time. This clearly highlights the efficacy of the developed procedure. The solution technique is applicable to any problem structure, which is reducible to the application of BVLPs
