A DESCRIPTION OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND DYNAMIC VISCOSITY OF WATER IN THE CRITCAL REGION

    No full text
A study to establish reasonable estimates of the values of thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity of water in the critical region was conducted. This was accomplished by reviewing the literature and utilizing available experimental measurements. The validity of the estimates was strengthened by the use of the principle of corresponding states after other considerations failed to contribute a description of these two transport properties in the critical region. The final results were expressions of a thermal conductivity excess and dynamic viscosity excess as unique functions of density. (auth
