    Inverse Laplace Transform of Some Rational Functions

    In this paper we propose a formula of recurrent nature for calculating the inverse Laplace transforms of some rational functions. The procedure and formulae enabling to determine the values of coefficients of obtained series are presented. Proposed procedure does not require any partial fraction decomposition. Moreover, it is proved that the radius of convergence of the received series (for the respective objective function) is equal to infinity. The proposed formula can find applications in wave optics and acoustics

The presented method to the extension of elements of linear recurrence sequence to real indices ought to find practical application in wide understanding metrology and medical diagnostics

    Variations on the arbelos

    We recall the ancient notion of arbelos and introduce a number of concepts generalizing it. We follow the ideas presented by J. Sondow in his article on parbelos, the parabolic analogue of the classic arbelos. Our concepts concern the curves constructed of arcs which resemble each other and surfaces obtained in a similar way. We pay special attention to ellarbelos, the curves built of semi-ellipses, because of their possible application in engineering, e.g. in determining the static moments of arc rod constructions or in problems of structural stability and durability of constructions
