THE PROBLEM OF CONTAMINATION OF ENGINE PARTS

    No full text
This article considers the problem of formation of deposits on the parts of internal combustionĀ engines. Describes the main types of deposits in engines and reasons for their formation. The analysisĀ of influence of oxidation of motor oils on the technical condition of internal combustion engines. TheĀ author offers a brief description of the program-methods of laboratory research of engine oils, includingĀ the evaluation of changes in properties of motor oils in contact with different concentrations of dieselĀ fuels

CHANGING CHARACTERISTICS OF MOTOR OILS IN GAS ENGINES OF GREAT POWER

    No full text
The article presents the results of studying the characteristics of engine oil G-Profi PSN 40, designed for use in gas engines of power plants fitted to mine. It reflects the issues of the changing characteristics of the engine oil during use and determine the frequency of their replacement. Examines the changing characteristics of engine oils as kinematic viscosity, base number, acid number, and also evaluated the tribological properties of the content of wear products. The conclusions about the feasibility of using the investigated engine oil

THE INFLUENCE OF THE APPLICATED ON THE FILTERING PAPER MOTOR OIL QUANTITY ON ITS INDICATORSā€™ EVALUATION

The most common method of controlling the motor oil detergent-dispersant properties is the Ā«dropĀ sampleĀ» method (the applying process of the engineĀ  oil drop to the filter paper -Ā»blue tapeĀ» and theĀ calculating process of theĀ  drop sample with an oil stain characteristics). The characteristic zonesā€™ sizeĀ and the entire oil stain depends on the engine oil condition, but theĀ  amount of applied engine oil isĀ affected to the large extent by the size of theĀ  oil stain. The stability of the oil droplet mass increasesĀ the monitoringĀ  accuracy of the engine oil. The article clarifies how much the motor oilĀ  droplet massĀ varies when applied by the same way. The simple and low-costĀ  products are used to apply the motor oilĀ drop. The evaluation is carried outĀ  by measuring the certain number of drops masses on high-precisionĀ scales.Ā  The errors which occur when the engine oil drop is applied to the filterĀ  paper-Ā»blue tapeĀ» andĀ their influence on the final result are estimated. TheĀ  conclusions about the significance of the motor oilĀ droplet mass changing which could influence on the characteristic zonesā€™ size of the drop sample areĀ made
