\Delta S=2 and \Delta C=2 bag parameters in the SM and beyond from Nf=2+1+1 twisted-mass LQCD
We present unquenched lattice QCD results for the matrix elements of
four-fermion operators relevant to the description of the neutral K and D
mixing in the Standard Model and its extensions. We have employed simulations
with Nf = 2 + 1 + 1 dynamical sea quarks at three values of the lattice
spacings in the interval 0.06 - 0.09 fm and pseudoscalar meson masses in the
range 210 - 450 MeV. Our results are extrapolated to the continuum limit and to
the physical pion mass. Renormalization constants have been determined
non-perturbatively in the RI-MOM scheme. In particular, for the Kaon
bag-parameter, which is relevant for the \overline{K}^0-K^0 mixing in the
Standard Model, we obtain B_K^{RGI} = 0.717(24).Comment: Added comments to error budget discussion; fig.19 corrected. Version

Promotion of proliferation and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma by LncRNA00673 based on the targeted-regulation of notch signaling pathway
we read with great interest the paper by Dr. Chen et al1, recently published in European
Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences and titled ‘‘Promotion of proliferation and
metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma by LncRNA00673 based on the targeted-regulation
of notch signaling pathway’’. Authors concluded that lncRNA00673 is highly expressed and
may be a potential target for the treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC). Moreover,
according to authors, it can promote the proliferation and metastasis of HCC by the regulation
of Notch signaling pathway. We congratulate the authors for their interesting work
Average up/down, strange and charm quark masses with Nf=2 twisted mass lattice QCD
We present a high precision lattice calculation of the average up/down,
strange and charm quark masses performed with Nf=2 twisted mass Wilson
fermions. The analysis includes data at four values of the lattice spacing and
pion masses as low as ~270 MeV, allowing for accurate continuum limit and
chiral extrapolation. The strange and charm masses are extracted by using
several methods, based on different observables: the kaon and the eta_s meson
for the strange quark and the D, D_s and eta_c mesons for the charm. The quark
mass renormalization is carried out non-perturbatively using the RI-MOM method.
The results for the quark masses in the MSbar scheme read: m_ud(2 GeV)= 3.6(2)
MeV, m_s(2 GeV)=95(6) MeV and m_c(m_c)=1.28(4) GeV. We also obtain the ratios

Nowadays, a huge number of papers have documented the ability of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (D-MRI) to highlight normal and pathological conditions in a variety of cerebral, abdominal, and cardiovascular applications. To date, however, the role of D-MRI to investigate musculoskeletal tissue, specifically the cancellous bone, has not been extensively explored. The effects of sars-cov-2 pandemic countermeasures on patients receiving infiltrative treatment for musculoskeletal disorders: A study from an italian cohort
SUMMARY Background. COVID-19 outbreak had a massive worldwide impact and several countermeasures to contain its spread have been adopted, such as the interruption of non-urgent outpatient clinics. We wanted to describe the effects of the national lock-down on the well-being of a cohort of Italian patients with musculoskeletal disorders receiving infiltrative treatment. Methods. 40 patients who received intra-or peri-articular treatment were surveyed using a structuralised questionnaire that assessed their well-being during the first national lockdown. Results. 24 out of 40 patients (60%) did not come back after the re-opening of the Clinic because they were afraid of the pandemic. Of these 24 patients, the 83.3% noticed increased pain and stiffness in the joint. Due to the lockdown, the patient’s quality of life was reduced by 61.66 ± 15.72%. After the lockdown, for the 92% of patients, the infiltrative treatment was perceived as more important than before, the 83% of patients perceived long-term security of infiltrative therapy availability as very important, and the 72% of the patients perceived the lockdown as inadequate. Conclusions. The infiltrative outpatient clinic’s interruption was seen to significant-ly worsen the physical condition of subjects with musculoskeletal disorders, with an important increase in both articular pain and stiffness. Therefore, any kind of infiltra-tive treatment suspension or delay should be avoided
Satellite Navigation for the Age of Autonomy
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) brought navigation to the masses.
Coupled with smartphones, the blue dot in the palm of our hands has forever
changed the way we interact with the world. Looking forward, cyber-physical
systems such as self-driving cars and aerial mobility are pushing the limits of
what localization technologies including GNSS can provide. This autonomous
revolution requires a solution that supports safety-critical operation,
centimeter positioning, and cyber-security for millions of users. To meet these
demands, we propose a navigation service from Low Earth Orbiting (LEO)
satellites which deliver precision in-part through faster motion, higher power
signals for added robustness to interference, constellation autonomous
integrity monitoring for integrity, and encryption / authentication for
resistance to spoofing attacks. This paradigm is enabled by the 'New Space'
movement, where highly capable satellites and components are now built on
assembly lines and launch costs have decreased by more than tenfold. Such a
ubiquitous positioning service enables a consistent and secure standard where
trustworthy information can be validated and shared, extending the electronic
horizon from sensor line of sight to an entire city. This enables the
situational awareness needed for true safe operation to support autonomy at

Il progetto si è posto l’obiettivo di implementare le competenze trasversali degli studenti nell’ambito della
divulgazione scientifica, attraverso un percorso avviato con lo studio della zoologia e proseguito con attività
di comunicazione e guida museale, mantenendo uno spirito collaborativo tra i tutor, il personale del Museo e i
giovani. Nel contesto museale, dove un elevato numero di forme animali è concentrato in uno spazio ristretto,
gli studenti hanno “toccato con mano” la varietà di specie esistenti, percepita in maniera immediata ed emotivamente significativa. Hanno così imparato ad applicare le metodologie per classificare gli animali e denominarli, integrando, in diversi momenti, l’uso della lingua inglese. Gli studenti hanno poi trasferito praticamente
i contenuti acquisiti in un lavoro di ideazione, progettazione e realizzazione di prodotti didattico-divulgativi,
presentati in un evento di grande impatto sul territorio della città di Palermo: la “Notte europea dei musei” 2018
