The paper presents an analysis of the influence of the industrial robot located nearby an induction heater on the electromagnetic field distribution. The experiment consisted of numerical analysis and measurement verification. The analysis of the electromagnetic field distribution was conducted for low frequency (50 Hz) heater. Two variants which differed in the presence (or absence) of the robot were considered. As a result, the distributions of the electromagnetic field around the heater were obtained. The evaluation of the influence of the industrial robot location on the magnetic field intensity was presented and discussed

Induction heating of gears - pulsing dual-frequency concept

The paper concerns analysis of gears hardening process. In order to obtain required temperature distribution several variations of single and combined frequencies for selected gear-wheel configurations were considered. The paper includes the calculation models and analysis of geometry and current intensity as well frequency influence on temperature distribution of the tooth surface. All calculations have been carried out by means of the use of Flux3D simulation program, which enables to provide, coupled electromagnetic and temperature fields analysis

The lifetime of a catalytic converters is limited. Today鈥檚 environmental regulations require that used converters should be properly recycled as a valuable source of precious metals, Al2O3 and steel scrap. The precious metals used in the devices perform catalytic functions. They are suspended in a ceramic or metal carrier. This paper deals with the recovery of precious metals from automotive converters using a metal-collector method. In order to speed up the washout of the precious metals from the capillary structure of the converter, the movement of the liquid metal-collector was forced by the electromagnetic field. The research was aimed at improving the effective velocity of the liquid metal flow through the carrier by means of a device with a double windings. Various ways of power supply were considered. The calculation experiment was performed as a weakly coupled analysis of the electromagnetic field and flow field.Czas 偶ycia katalizator贸w samochodowych jest ograniczony. Dzisiejsze przepisy 艣rodowiskowe wymagaj膮 aby by艂y one poddawane procesowi recyklingu jako cenne 藕r贸d艂o platynowc贸w, AI2O3 i z艂omu stalowego. Przeanalizowano tak偶e r贸偶ne sposoby zasilania urz膮dzenia. Eksperyment obliczeniowy zosta艂 zrealizowany jako s艂abosprz臋偶ona analiza pola elektromagnetycznego i pola przep艂ywu
