    COVID-19 Era: What’s Impact of the Lockdown on India’s Environment?

    Background: The Novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which started in Wuhan (China) during December 2019, has spread to the rest of the world until now (July 2020). COVID-19 infections are more prevalent in developed countries rather than in the fast-developing, and underdeveloped countries. Now novel COVID-19 infection is a global health problem. In a fast-developing country like India, the incidence of coronavirus infections is increasing day by day. The fifth phase of lockdown has started in India to reduce the incidence of infection.Purpose: The purpose of this study of the impact of lockdown on the India’s environment, according to the literature survey from various research papers, news, social networking, government data (websites), etc., indicates that the lockdown helping to reduce transit in India and at the same time has a great impact on reduced pollution such as air pollution, water pollution, land pollution, etc., thus improving the balance of the environment after March 2020 onwards.Methods: In this work, we have used an online method using various online sources, which has mainly surveyed some important cities in India, have also studied the factors such as air pollution, river pollution, land pollution, etc. and its impact on Indian environment.Results: According to an online survey, lockdown has had a significant impact on the Indian environment, reducing the number of vehicles on the road that improving air quality, reducing river pollution, and having a positive impact on various fields. Lockdown has been very beneficial to the environment.Conclusions: The observations from various parts of the sources show that reduced pollution has also reduced the number of patients in hospitals, mainly jaundice (yellow fever), chikungunya, typhoid, respiratory diseases, etc. This review article explains the brief analysis of the impact of COVID-19 lockdown on India’s environment

    Cyclopentadienyl System: Solving the Secular Determinant, π Energy, Delocalization Energy, Wave Functions, Electron Density and Charge Density

    In this study, characteristics of Hückel strategy, were abused so as to acquire some significant outcomes, through a theoretical technique with which it is conceivable to get secular equations, π energy, wave functions, electron density and charge density, as an account of cyclopentadienyl system i.e. C5H5+ (cation), C5H5- (anion), and C5H5. (radical) and permitting the expression of delocalization energy of conjugated cyclopentadienyl ring framework. Here, it was presented the secular determinant of the Hückel technique and applied to cyclopentadienyl system framework so as to communicate their orbital energies of cyclopentadienyl system, also to communicate its electron and charge density in terms of stable configuration of a system. It is settled by the Hückel strategy and applied by the assumptions for nearby comparability such as coulomb integrals, exchange integrals and overlap integrals.     Effect of Copper Substitution, Calcination Temperature, and Photo-sensitizers on Photocatalytic Activity of Cu0.05 Zn0.95O

The photocatalytic activity of prepared samples was accurately assessed by the photocatalytic decomposition of LASER dye in an aqueous solution under irradiation of solar light and was compared favourably to non-dope commercially available ZnO photo-catalyst. The effect of various parameters like the amount of a catalyst, the calcination temperature on photocatalytic activity is also studied. The direct effect of various photosensitizing salts like NaCl, Na2CO3, and Na2S2O3 on photocatalytic activity of ZnO and Cu0.05Zn0.95O was carefully studied

    EMERGING TRENDS IN PATIENT COUNSELLING: CURRENT SCENARIO

    Objective: To evaluate the impact of patient counselling in terms of knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) outcomes among retail and hospital pharmacist in Satara and Sanagli district.Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on knowledge, attitudes and practices of patient counselling adopted by retail and hospital pharmacists from different areas of Satara and Sangali district. A specially designed questionnaire was used for data collection. Total 190 respondents were analyzed for the study.Results: The highlighting result of the survey based project revealed that almost all retail as well as hospital pharmacists were practicing patient counselling without any charges and there is necessity of separate patient counselling cabinet. Pharmacist was lacking in adopting modern techniques, aids for counselling and 20% only attended patient counselling course (PCC) by Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council (MSPC).Conclusion: KAP study revealed the positive attitude, knowledge and existence of patient counselling practices but not done in an appropriate manner. Step should be taken by authorities, pharmacist and the patient to make counselling more effective.Â

    Intra-arterial Approaches to Stem Cell Therapy for Ischemic Stroke

    Stroke remains the leading cause of disability and among the top five causes of death around the world. While recanalization therapies, first approved about two decades ago for ischemic stroke, have changed the nihilistic approach that prevailed in the past, their impact remains small. Hence, there is a critical need to translate novel stroke therapies to reduce the burden of ischemic stroke. There is a strong biologic rationale for cell-based therapy with a variety of stem cells in ischemic stroke, given that the brain’s repair process after stroke is driven by endogenous stem cells. Over the last 15 years, numerous preclinical studies of cell-based therapy for ischemic stroke show consistent promise of safety and efficacy. While these studies utilize a variety of cells and different routes of cell administration, the intra-arterial route of cell delivery has several attractive clinical attributes including minimally invasive and targeted delivery of cells to area of brain injury. This route of delivery of cells has been the focus of our laboratory and here we review the preclinical data and the recent rise in published early clinical trials of cell-based therapy in ischemic stroke. These clinical trial data in their sum total suggest robust safety of this approach and set the stage for the next phase of clinical trials to establish its clinical efficacy in this devastating disease

    UV-Spectrophotometry - Multicomponent Mode of Analysis for Simultaneous Estimation of Brinzolamide and Brimonidine Tartrate in Bulk and Ophthalmic Formulation

    Brinzolamide (BRZ) and Brimonidine Tartrate (BT) in combination are available as an ophthalmic suspension in the ratio of 5:1. A simple, reproducible and efficient method for the simultaneous determination of BRZ and BT in Bulk and Ophthalmic formulation has been developed. The absorbance was assessed at two wavelengths i.e. 252.40 nm (λ max of BRZ) and 246 nm (λmax of BT) in methanol. In this method, BRZ and BT executed linearity in the concentration range of 5-35 μg/mL and 3-18 μg/mL, respectively at their respective λ max. The developed method was found to be accurate, precise and rugged as marked by small values of % RSD according to ICH guidelines
