Satisfaction with Clinical Training in Christian Psychology Doctoral Programs: Survey Findings and Implications
Perceptions of clinical training at seven explicitly Christian doctoral programs in clinical psychology were assessed with a satisfaction survey. A total of 228 students, 128 alumni, and 34 faculty completed the online questionnaire that entailed 20 satisfaction items. Factor analysis revealed three factors: Supervision and Support, Clinical Placements, and Professional Development. Of these, Supervision and Support received the highest satisfaction ratings and Professional Development the lowest. Overall, clinical training was perceived quite positively by respondents, and more highly than research training ratings reported in a previous study. Alumni and faculty reported greater satisfaction than current students
School Vouchers and Student Achievement: Recent Evidence, Remaining Questions
In this article, we review the empirical evidence on the impact of education vouchers on student
achievement, and briefly discuss the evidence from other forms of school choice. The best
research to date finds relatively small achievement gains for students offered education vouchers,
most of which are not statistically different from zero. Further, what little evidence exists
regarding the potential for public schools to respond to increased competitive pressure generated
by vouchers suggests that one should remain wary that large improvements would result from a
more comprehensive voucher system. The evidence from other forms of school choice is also
consistent with this conclusion. Many questions remain unanswered, however, including
whether vouchers have longer-run impacts on outcomes such as graduation rates, college
enrollment, or even future wages, and whether vouchers might nevertheless provide a costneutral
alternative to our current system of public education provision at the elementary and
secondary school level

Systems concepts for DOE facilities: analysis of PF/LASS data
We have analyzed Plutonium Facility/Los Alamos Safeguards System (PF/LASS) data for the Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF) process. Highlights of the work are: the PF/LASS data base provides useful information for accountability purposes, some measurement code assignments appear to be in error, some other data are erroneous, and material in process (MIP) and cumulative sum (CUSUM) charts are powerful indicators of trouble areas. From these studies we recommend re-examination of instrument biases, adoption of new naming procedures for collection batches, improvement of measurement code assignment reliability, revision of round-off procedures, and strengthening of measurement control procedures

Materials accounting system for an IBM PC
We have adapted the Los Alamos MASS accounting system for use on an IBM PC/AT at the Fuels Manufacturing Facility (FMF) at Argonne National Laboratory-West (ANL-WEST) in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Cost of hardware and proprietary software was less than $10,000 per station. The system consists of three stations between which accounting information is transferred using floppy disks accompanying special nuclear material shipments. The programs were implemented in dBASEIII and were compiled using the proprietary software CLIPPER. Modifications to the inventory can be posted in just a few minutes, and operator/computer interaction is nearly instantaneous. After the records are built by the user, it takes 4 to 5 seconds to post the results to the database files. A version of this system was specially adapted and is currently in use at the FMF facility at Argonne National Laboratory in Idaho Falls. Initial satisfaction is adequate and software and hardware problems are minimal
