Gauge Invariance and Hall Terms in the Quasiclassical Equations of Superconductivity
This paper presents a careful derivation of the quasiclassical equations of
superconductivity so that a manifest gauge invariance is retained with respect
to the space-time arguments of the quasiclassical Green's function .
The terms responsible for the Hall effect naturally appear from the derivation.
The equations are applicable to clean as well as dirty superconductors for an
arbitrary external frequency much smaller than the Fermi energy. Thus, they
will form a basis toward a complete microscopic understanding of the Hall
effect in type-II superconductors.Comment: 9 pages, 1 figur
Generalized gradient expansions in quantum transport equations
Gradient expansions in quantum transport equations of a Kadanoff-Baym form
have been reexamined. We have realized that in a consistent approach the
expansion should be performed also inside of the self-energy in the scattering
integrals of these equations. In the first perturbation order this internal
expansion gives new correction terms to the generalized Boltzman equation.
These correction terms are found here for several typical systems. Possible
corrections to the theory of a linear response to weak electric fields are also
discussed.Comment: 20 pages, latex, to appear in Journal of Statistical Physics, March

SIGNIFICANCE OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF CORRECTION OF THE HEMITHORAX VOLUME IN SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH LUNG AND PLEURA TUBERCULOSIS
In the article, with 72 patients, taken as an example, with tuberculosis of respiratory organs the authors present their clinical experience with using various methods of surgical correction of the hemithorax volume (by means of extrapleural, intrapleural, extra-intrapleural correcting thoracoplasties and diaphragmplasty) during performing resections on the lungs and/or pleura. Substantiation is given to the necessity of correcting hemithorax volume in patients with tuberculosis of respiratory organs in performing resections of great volume
VIDEO-ASSISTED THORACIC LUNG RESECTION IN TUBERCULOUS PATIENTS
The article showed the clinical experience using video-assisted pulmonary resection in tuberculous patients (47 operations). Upper lobectomy on the right was carried out in 10 (21, 3%) cases. Upper lobectomy on the left was performed in 6 (12,8%) cases. This fact could be explained by the frequency of affection of mentioned lung sites in tubercular process. A level of intraoperative complications consisted of 8,5% in video-assisted lung resections. The rate of postoperative complications was 10,6%. General efficacy of the application of video-assisted lung resections estimated 97,9%
