Estudio fenomenológico sobre el estudiante y sus interacciones en una institución educativa del nivel secundario de Arequipa

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal analizar al estudiante y sus interacciones en una institución educativa del nivel secundario de Arequipa. Tiene un enfoque cualitativo, diseño fenomenológico y de inducción analítica para el cumplimiento de los objetivos específicos. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó las técnicas de la entrevista semiestructurada, la observación y el cuaderno de campo. El proceso de investigación, mediante la triangulación, interpretación de textos y hermenéutica, se encuentra en el marco teórico de la presente tesis, utilizando como insumos la teoría y los datos obtenidos en el proceso. En síntesis, el estudiante es analizado desde tres dimensiones: primero aplicando en él algunos principios de análisis, segundo caracterizando al estudiante como un objeto de investigación y tercero llevando la teoría a un análisis de relaciones e interacciones

Personalized equipment guided gadget (P.E.G.G.)

Autonomous vehicles capable of following a person, without any conscious effort by the person to guide the vehicle, have may uses in the world today. Personalized Equipment Guided Gadget (PEGG) is a prototype cart with the capability of following an individual carrying a two-way radio. The cart can follow an individual from a certain distance away while avoiding obstacles which meet certain criteria. Direction finding relies on a radio frequency horning antenna to determine the direction from which the signal originates. PEGG detects obstacles in its path by using ultrasonic sensors positioned in front, on its left, and on its right. If an obstacle is detected in front, and if there is no obstruction on the side closer to the transmitter, it veers towards that side, otherwise it turns to the opposite side. It resumes tracking once the obstacle has been bypassed. PEGG travels at approximately a speed of a foot per second, since the user is expected to travel at walking speed. Z80 assembly language was used in programming the overall control and intelligence of the system

Social death and the grief process

This paper deals with the grief process experiences, socio-economic repercussions, and coping methods and strategies of family members with a kin experiencing social death as a result of his incarceration. This study centers on nine respondents with a relative imprisoned. The design used is a case study method where their experiences and coping methods and strategies are presented in a compilation of descriptive records. The respondents were interviewed using an interview guide. All the data gathered were analyzed qualitatively, with comparisons made between similarities and differences in responses. From the responses gathered in the interview, it was determined that the stages of the grief process exhibited certain common characteristics. The respondents were also exposed to social stigmatization as well as economic difficulties. The coping methods used by the key respondents emphasized necessity, faith, support, and the actuations of the grief process stages
