    Prevalence of pain in depression and health related quality of life outcomes: results from the FINDER Study

    The Factors Influencing Depression Endpoints Research (FINDER) is a 6-momth longitudinal study involving 3,468 psychiatric outpatients with depressin throughout Europe. The present study examined the level of pain and quality of life among depressed aptients by using several isntrumnebts (HAD, VAS, Sf-36, SSI-28). 56% patients reported moderate/severe pain, that was explained by somatic/physical conditions in 70% of the cases. Depressed patients with pain had a longer duration of depressive illness and reported poorer health related quality of life scores on SF-36
