    Comparative Study of C, Java, C# and Jython

    Comparing programming languages is a common topic among programmers and software developers. With the recent changes in programming standards and continual upgrades in hardware design, many new programming languages are being developed, while existing ones are currently going through several enhancements in terms of design and implementation. In this research, we present a comparative study of four programming languages, C, Java, C#, and Jython, with respect to the following criteria: memory consumption, CPU utilization, and execution time. Each test was performed in a distributed system using TCP sockets with 1, 2, 4 and 8 clients, and on a symmetric multiprocessing system

    A rare case of triplet heterotopic pregnancy with a live intrauterine and bilateral tubal ectopic

    Heterotopic pregnancy (HP) is a condition characterized by the coexistence of an ectopic pregnancy (EP) with a viable intrauterine pregnancy (IUP). The occurrence of a triplet heterotopic pregnancy is an exceptionally rare medical condition. Hence, timely diagnosis and management are challenging, but essential to prevent mortality. Authors report the case of a young woman who presented with a heterotopic triplet pregnancy, after in-vitro fertilization (IVF), at 12 weeks of gestation. She had been misdiagnosed as a case of severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome but had a ruptured tubal ectopic on the right side and an unruptured ectopic on the left side. Both the ectopics were managed by performing an emergency laparotomy with bilateral salpingectomy. The live intrauterine pregnancy was continued till term with the delivery of a healthy baby. High clinical suspicion and timely treatment can preserve the intrauterine gestation thus, ensuring a successful outcome

    A blockchain and deep neural networks-based secure framework for enhanced crop protection

    The problem faced by one farmer can also be the problem of some other farmer in other regions. Providing information to farmers and connecting them has always been a challenge. Crowdsourcing and community building are considered as useful solutions to these challenges. However, privacy concerns and inactivity of users can make these models inefficient. To tackle these challenges, we present a cost-efficient and blockchain-based secure framework for building a community of farmers and crowdsourcing the data generated by them to help the farmers’ community. Apart from ensuring privacy and security of data, a revenue model is also incorporated to provide incentives to farmers. These incentives would act as a motivating factor for the farmers to willingly participate in the process. Through integration of a deep neural network-based model to our proposed framework, prediction of any abnormalities present within the crops and their predicted possible solutions would be much more coherent. The simulation results demonstrate that the prediction of plant pathology model is highly accurate

    Targeting NSP-13 protein of SARS CoV-2 with selected natural compounds: An in-silico approach

    SARS-CoV-2 swiftly spread in Wuhan, China, leading to a pandemic crisis worldwide. Genome sequence analysis of this virus revealed a close analogy with its closely related strains, SARS-COV and MERS-COV. In the case of SARS-CoV-2, Nonstructural protein 13 (NSP13), also known as helicase, has been identified as a target for reducing the severity of infection due to its high sequence conservation and essential role in viral replication. NSP13 helicase structure in SARS-CoV-2 differs only by one amino acid from the SARS-CoV helicase structure. Targeting NSP13 with natural compounds holds significant potential for developing safe and effective antiviral therapies utilizing advanced computational approaches. The properties of 8 different natural compounds, i.e. Imidazole, Pyrrole, Tropolone, Benzotriazole, Imidazodiazepine, Phenothiazine, Acridone and Bananin were screened by applying Lipinski’s rule of five, ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion) properties, and Radar plots to discover their drug efficacy at a target site, safety, and absorption. Docking studies confirmed Bananin with a binding affinity of -7 kcal/mol as a potential inhibitor of NSP13 of SARS-CoV-2 with better pharmacokinetics, drug likeliness, and oral bioavailability. Based on the in silico study, it is suggested that Bananin shows promising effects against NSP13 protein, forming a maximum number of hydrogen bonds exhibiting higher binding affinity. This stronger affinity indicates a stronger interaction between the compound and its target, potentially leading to enhanced biological activity and therapeutic efficacy. This novel study has unlocked the door for a prospective SARS-CoV-2 inhibition strategy and developing antiviral interventions targeting NSP13 based on molecular docking.

    The proposed neutrino factory (NF) based on a muon storage ring (MSR) is an ideal place to look for heavy quark production via neutral current (NC) and charged current (CC) interactions.
