Modeling and Computing Probabilities of Random Variables: Visitor Observation Website Analysis
The main purpose of this project is to apply several concepts studying in class to real situations that have already taken place. This project will focus on a number of visitors on a special website per day created for a long time by one of our team members. The number of visitors would be our random variable. In order to gather the data, we have a small counter program composed and attached to this website since the first day it started. The way program works is merely simple by counting and recording the number of visitors every day which means the data would be gathering automatically, easily, and simply. The expected size of our data is around 300 samples. That makes us analyze and synthesize the information precisely and rationally in the rest of the steps. In addition, we bring the numerical data obtained from our website to calculate the descriptive statistical values such as Mean, Median, Mode, and Standard Deviation. In order to identify the distribution of our data, the empirical and possible theoretic probabilities would be determined, and those probabilities would be compared visually and numerically to see which distribution seems to be best fit. At the end, we will see how well the theoretic distribution can represent our data distribution in this project
AT&T: From Wired to Wireless
The Bell Telephone Company, which became AT&T, gave birth to the telecommunications industry and went on to monopolize telecommunications in the U.S. for over 100 years. Today AT&T Corporation is the world\u27s premier voice and data communications company serving consumers, businesses and governments. AT&T provides these services with the help of over 160,000 employees, providing services to almost 100 million customers in more than 200 countries worldwide.
AT&T is rapidly evolving from a company who pioneered the historical wired phone business to a company pioneering new modem technologies for voice, data, and video over three different networks: wireless, data and cable. This paper will discuss the history of AT&T, the state of the wireless industry, and AT&T\u27s strategy to dominate the wireless telecommunications industry they created
Wireless Broadband
Initially, the wireless industry was developed for voice communications. As the number of users rapidly increased, the wireless industry had to develop new technology to accommodate the demands. Now with the advancements in mobile telecommunications, the demand for non-voice data has increased. The future of the wireless industry will be hinged on how seamlessly the industry can implement new technologies to meet the demands of the mobile consumer. With the emergence of wireless broadband in the U.S., the U.S. telecommunications industry will have to take advantage of this technology to expand the market. This paper will look into this disruptive technology and what it will bring to the industry
Server Consolidation Using Mathematical Programming
This project was undertaken to find an optimal number and type mix of UNIX servers to run a series of applications. Given a set of servers to choose from, a mathematical programming optimization model was developed to determine the lowest server cost while maintaining an expected service level. A full solution was developed however the requirements exceeded the capabilities of the solver that was used. The model was simplified until a solution could be determined. The results obtained were from a reduced data set and were not suitable for the full solution. The full model should be solvable using a more advanced solver

Team #1: Team Report #2
This report explores the effectiveness of Team #1 during the completion of their Communication and Team Building class, including reports, presentations, and selected reading write-ups. The report includes discussion on individual and team behaviors, structure, factors that contributed or detracted from team performance, analysis of the team\u27s performance curve, social patterns, strengths, weaknesses, ground rules, impact of in-class activities, leadership, and other issues. The report documents issues the team faced and provides corrective action or solutions to the problems. Upon completion of this report, each of the team members believed they had learned methods of being more effective or possibly high performance teams as defined by Katzenbach and Smith. Moreover, the report addresses specific changes the team members will take in developing future teams
Lab and Lab Case Tracking Software Development Project
In order to remain competitive and gain larger market shares in the dental/medical practice industry and to gain the trust within our current client base, First Pacific Corporation decided to add a new module for lab and lab case tracking.
Project objectives: Provide the latest features to add a lab Enable to track the lab case for each patient and the lab. Provide a more up-to-date, visually appealing and ergonomically efficient interface to the clients. Create tighter integration with the appointment scheduling to reduce data entry. Develop the module in latest technologies as software reusable components.
Project summary: Better Navigation. Maintain Lab information. Maintain lab-tracking information from patients as well as labs. Better appointment scheduling for lab case appointments. Reduction in production loss because of lab cases Faster and clean graphical interface for the data entry. Faster and usable retrieval of information
