on organizational identification, organizational citizenship behaviours and job satisfaction and to
understand the relationship between green human resource management and organizational citizenship
behaviours through the mediating role of organizational identification and job satisfaction.
In order to test the hypotheses, a quantitative methodology was chosen and a questionnaire was
applied to 120 employees who work in ISO 14000 certified organizations.
A parallel mediation analysis was developed to assess the relationships between the variables.
The results showed that green human resource management is positively associated with organizational
identification. The results also allowed us to conclude that green human resource management is
positively related to job satisfaction. Furthermore, it was found that the relationship between green human
resource management and organizational citizenship behaviours is mediated by job satisfaction. However,
it was not possible to confirm the mediating role of organizational identification in this relationship.
Limitations, theoretical and practical contributions and recommendations for future investigations
are presented. In short, this study is an important contribution to understand the dynamics of a green
human resources management system and its influence on people's behaviour
