Linear Regression Based Real-Time Filtering
This paper introduces real time filtering method based on linear least squares fitted line. Method can be used in case that a filtered signal is linear. This constraint narrows a band of potential applications. Advantage over Kalman filter is that it is computationally less expensive. The paper further deals with application of introduced method on filtering data used to evaluate a position of engraved material with respect to engraving machine. The filter was implemented to the CNC engraving machine control system. Experiments showing its performance are included
The Identification of Induction Motor Internal Quantities
In the presented work a new identification method of difficult measured internal quantities of IM, such as components of magnetic flux vector and electromagnetic torque, is proposed. Commonly measurable quantities of IM like stator currents, stator voltage frequency and mechanical angular speed are used for identification to determine a feedback effect of the rotor flux vector on vector of stator currents of IM. Based on this feedback it is also possible to identify actual value of the rotor resistance, which can alter during IM operation. This has a significant impact on precision of identified quantities as well as on master control of IM. Stability of the identification structure is guaranteed by position of roots of characteristic equation of its linear transfer function. Results obtained from simulation measurements confirm quality, effectivity, feasibility, and robustness of the proposed identification method
Pathfinder–Development of Automated Guided Vehicle for Hospital Logistics
This paper describes the development of Pathfinder-an autonomous guided vehicle intended for the transportation of material in hospital environments. Pathfinder is equipped with the latest industrial hardware components and employs the most recent software stacks for simultaneous localization, navigation, and mapping. As the most significant contribution to the current robotics development, powerlink interface enabling direct data transfers between robot operating system and powerlink compatible hardware was developed. This combination is in our best knowledge reported here for the first time and the results with comprehensive tutorial were made publicly available as a GitHub repository. The capabilities of Pathfinder were explored during preliminary on-site tests in local hospital. From experimental results in a hospital it was confirmed that the robot can move along its global path, and reach the goal without colliding with static and moving objects
Virtual and augmented reality: Applications for the learning of technical historical heritage
This manuscript presents two applications developed for learning about the details
and operation of Agustín de Betancourtś machine for cutting cane and other aquatic
plants in navigable channels and rivers, drawing on virtual reality for personal
computers under Windows, and augmented reality for mobile devices based on
Android, along with a 3D printing of the 3D model. Similarly, in the case of
augmented reality, an algorithm for the selection of parts or systems has been
developed that shows the technical information of each piece or system of this
historical invention. Finally, the evaluation of these applications has been satisfactory
according to the results of an anonymous survey with seven questions given to a group
of 10 people because the values obtained from statistical variables such as the mean,
median and standard deviation prove it.MINECO/FEDER, Grant number: HAR2015-63503-
