Centaur and giant planet crossing populations: origin and distribution
The current giant planet region is a transitional zone where transneptunian objects (TNOs) cross in their way to becoming Jupiter Family Comets. Their dynamical behavior is conditioned by the intrinsic dynamical features of TNOs and also by the encounters with the giant planets. We address the Giant Planet Crossing (GPC) population (those objects with 5.2 au 100km and ∼ 10 8 with D>1km in the current population. The contribution from other sources is considered negligible. The mean lifetime in the Centaur zone is 7.2 Myr, while the mean lifetime of SDOs in the GPC zone is of 68 Myr. The latter is dependent on the initial inclination, being the ones with high inclinations the ones that survive the longest in the GPC zone. There is also a correlation of lifetime with perihelion distance, where greater perihelion leads to longer lifetime. The dynamical evolution of observed GPCs is different for prograde and retrograde objects. Retrograde GPCs have lower median lifetime than prograde ones, thus experiencing a comparatively faster evolution. However, it is probable that this faster evolution is due to the fact that the majority of retrograde GPCs have low perihelion values and then, lower lifetimes.Fil: Di Sisto, Romina Paula. Cratering and age of the small Saturnian satellites
Context. The small (=135 km mean radius) satellites of Saturn are closely related to its rings and together they constitute a complex dynamical system where formation and destruction mechanisms compete against each other. The Cassini-Huygens mission provided high-resolution images of the surfaces of these satellites and therefore allowed for the calculation of observational crater counts. Aims. We model the cratering process by Centaur objects on the small Saturnian satellites, and compare our results with the observational crater counts obtained from the Voyager and Cassini missions. Methods. Using a theoretical model previously developed we calculate the crater production on these satellites considering two slopes of the size-frequency distribution (SFD) for the smaller objects of the Centaur population and compare our results with the available observations. In addition, we consider the case of catastrophic collisions between these satellites and Centaur objects and calculate the age of formation of those satellites that suffer one or more disruptions. Results. In general we find that the observed crater distributions are best modeled by the crater size distribution corresponding to the s2 = 3:5 index of the SFD of impactors with diameters smaller than 60 km. However, for crater diameters D . 3-8 km (which correspond to impactor diameters d ∼ 0:04-0:15 km), the observed distributions become flatter and deviate from our results, which may evidence processes of erosion and/or crater saturation at small crater sizes or a possible break in the SFD of impactors at d ∼ 0:04-0:15 km to a much shallower differential slope of approximately -1:5. Our results suggest that Pan, Daphnis, Atlas, Aegaeon, Methone, Anthe, Pallene, Calypso, and Polydeuces suffered one or more catastrophic collisions over the age of the solar system, the younger being associated to arcs with ages of ∼108 yr. We have also calculated surface ages for the satellites, which indicate ongoing resurfacing processes.Fil: Rossignoli, Natalia Lorena. Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas. Patient satisfaction with pharmacy services: translation and validation of the Pharmacy Services Questionnaire for Brazil
The aim of this study was to translate into Portuguese and validate the Pharmacy Services Questionnaire (PSQ). The instrument includes 20 questions that measure user satisfaction with pharmacy services, and is organized according to two factors. It uses a Likert scale of answers from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). The PSQ-Brazil was applied to 137 diabetics from 31 to 89 years of age (60.6% women), clients of private pharmacies, mostly users of public health services (65.7%), with low education (67.9% elementary schooling or less), and who used an average of 4.3 medicines per person. Overall score in the sample was 3.6 (SD = 1.1 [95%CI 3.4-3.8]). After factor analysis, “pleasant exposure” and “treatment management” included 8 and 12 items, respectively, and were significantly correlated with each other (r = 0.92, p < 0.001) and with the overall score. The instrument obtained a Cronbach's alpha of 0.98 for the overall score. The pleasant exposure and treatment management variables showed alphas of 0.94 and 0.98. PSQBrazil shows adequate reliability and validity for use in the country

Quantum Discord and entropic measures of quantum correlations: Optimization and behavior in finite spin chains
We discuss a generalization of the conditional entropy and one-way
information deficit in quantum systems, based on general entropic forms. The
formalism allows to consider simple entropic forms for which a closed
evaluation of the associated optimization problem in qudit-qubit systems is
shown to become feasible, allowing to approximate that of the quantum discord.
As application, we examine quantum correlations of spin pairs in the exact
ground state of finite spin chains in a magnetic field through the quantum
discord and information deficit. While these quantities show a similar
behavior, their optimizing measurements exhibit significant differences, which
can be understood and predicted through the previous approximations. The
remarkable behavior of these quantities in the vicinity of transverse and
non-transverse factorizing fields is also discussed.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure
Pharmacist's and pharmacies profiles in Santa Catarina: structure and process indicators
The present study aimed to assess structure and process quality indicators in community pharmacies in Santa Catarina (Brazil), and also the profile of pharmacists regarding their attitudes and perceptions of pharmaceutical care and professional satisfaction. A cross-sectional study was performed in 10% of Santa Catarina pharmacies randomly chosen. 258 community pharmacies were surveyed. 88.5% pharmacists were in office in the time of the interview. In average, they were 31 years old (SD=8.1) and mainly women (68%). A ratio of 1.4 (SD=0.7) pharmacists per pharmacy and 3.8 (SD=4.5) assistants existed. Only 11.4% pharmacies had an adequate structure for private caring patients. Despite having an average of more than 2 tertiary drug information sources, most of them were low quality. Activities mentioned by the majority of pharmacists were dispensing (98.2%), recording controlled drugs (90.8%), injections administration (85.1%), and helping patients on cash line (84.2%). Most of pharmacies in Santa Catarina (Brazil) do not have the adequate structure for implementing pharmaceutical care services. Barriers identified to implement those services were not different to those communicated in other countries
Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain in the successive pandemic waves on hemodialysis patients and healthcare personnel
(1) Background: The impact of SARS-CoV-2 has been variable over the time course of the pandemic and in different populations. The aim was to analyze the impact of COVID-19 infection in a known population of hemodialysis (HD) patients and professionals in Spain at different times of the pandemic. (2) Methods: We conducted an observational, descriptive study with a follow-up from 3 March 2020 to 23 April 2022 (776 days), using in average of 414 professionals and 1381 patients from 18 HD units in Spain. The data from the positive PCR or the rapid antigen detection test (RADT) subject were analyzed and segmented into six periods (waves). (3) Results: Of 703 positive COVID-19 tests, 524 were HD patients (74.5%), and 179 were HD professionals (25.5%). Overall, 38% of staff and 43% of patients were affected. Differences were observed in regard to incidence (21% vs. 13%), mortality (3.5% vs. 0%), and symptomatology between the patients and professionals and throughout the pandemic. (4) Conclusions: COVID-19 severity varied during different pandemic waves, with a greater impact seen in the first wave. HD professionals and patients had similar infection rates, but patients had higher mortality rates. Community transmission was the primary route of infection. This research received was founded by Fundación Renal Íñigo Álvarez de Toledo (FRIAT).
