Faculty Recital: Trey Wright, guitar, Some of my Best Friends are Saxophonists

Trey Wright, guitarist and Senior Lecturer of Jazz Studies and Jazz Guitar, performs sax-filled tunes featuring saxophonists Mace Hibbard and Sam Skelton. The title of this program was inspired by bassist Ray Brown’s Some of my best friends are … album series in which each album would feature some of Ray’s favorite artists on a specific instrument. Over the past several years I have been fortunate to have Mace and Sam perform music I have written, but I have never had the opportunity to have both saxophonists on the same concert.
