    Berlin V2X: A Machine Learning Dataset from Multiple Vehicles and Radio Access Technologies

    The evolution of wireless communications into 6G and beyond is expected to rely on new machine learning (ML)-based capabilities. These can enable proactive decisions and actions from wireless-network components to sustain quality-of-service (QoS) and user experience. Moreover, new use cases in the area of vehicular and industrial communications will emerge. Specifically in the area of vehicle communication, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) schemes will benefit strongly from such advances. With this in mind, we have conducted a detailed measurement campaign that paves the way to a plethora of diverse ML-based studies. The resulting datasets offer GPS-located wireless measurements across diverse urban environments for both cellular (with two different operators) and sidelink radio access technologies, thus enabling a variety of different studies towards V2X. The datasets are labeled and sampled with a high time resolution. Furthermore, we make the data publicly available with all the necessary information to support the onboarding of new researchers. We provide an initial analysis of the data showing some of the challenges that ML needs to overcome and the features that ML can leverage, as well as some hints at potential research studies.Comment: 5 pages, 6 figures.     Differentiation of Pluripotent Stem Cells to Retinal Pigment Epithelial Cells: An Approach Toward Retinal Degenerative Diseases Treatment

    Pluripotent stem cells as the cells with a capacity for self-renewal and differentiation into various specificcell types have been highly regarded in regenerative medicine studies. To repair the eye disease damages, thedifferentiation into retinal pigment epithelial cells of pluripotent stem cells has gained great importance inrecent decades because the inappropriate function of these cells is the main cause of degenerative diseases suchas the age-related macular degeneration.     Aspects of Syntactic Ambiguity in Arabic Language and their Impacts on the Translation of the Holy Quran

    Many translation theoreticians strongly support the role of collocations in translation and therefore have focused on this linguistic phenomenon in part of their studies. Nevertheless, in the realms of the Quran, this issue has been neglected and encounters a significant number of challenges. The present study, on the basis of Newmark, Beeker, and Larson’s point-of-view on the one hand, and the translations of the Holy Quran on the other hand, has presented a new categorization of translation obstacles in Quranic collocations, which is free from its syntactic classifications; and by extracting evidence from ten contemporary translations of Quran this study suggests solutions to this problem. The statistical sample of this research includes one hundred Quranic collocations chosen on account of their frequency in Quran, some of which are analyzed and discussed in the present article. The five challenges in the translation of Quranic collocations encountered by the translators include: misunderstanding of collocations, the difference between correctness and naturalness in Persian equivalents, different order of collocation placement between the source and the target languages, observing equivalence unity, assimilation and accordance between equivalents, and unified translation of various collocations in the Holy Quran. With regard to these challenges and the recommended solutions by the researcher, it is possible to provide a more eloquent and comprehensible translation of the Holy Quran

    Studying Effect of Water Quality Parameters on Coagulation Efficiency by Moringa Oleifera Seeds

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance and efficiency of Moringa seeds from different sources on turbidity. A protein analysis test was done for each source; then two different methods of extraction were compared to examine the coagulation activity for the Moringa's active ingredient. The results of sodium chloride (NaCI) extraction in comparison to distilled water extraction of the Moringa olifera seeds showed that the salt solution extraction technique was more efficient than the distilled water for extracting the active coagulant ingredient.  The above mentioned findings were used to examine the effects of other parameters such as pH, calcium and magnesium hardness, bicarbonate-alkalinity, and salinity independently on turbidity removal with an optimum dosage of 1% NaCI extract of dry shelled Moringa seeds. The obtained results showed that the water quality parameters had no significant effect on the coagulation potential of the NaCI extract of the shelled Moringa seeds and was almost amenable to a wide range of water environment condition

    Neonatal Infections: a 5-Year Analysis in a Neonatal Care Unit in North East of Iran

    Background: Neonatal infections are one of the major causes of death in Iran. Since identifying the risk factors, types, site, bacterial causes, and case fatality rate of an infection can be effective in selecting preventive and therapeutic methods, and appropriate supportive measures, this study aimed to investigate the aforementioned factors in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of Ghaem Hospital in Mashhad- Iran during a 5-year period.Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted from Jan 2010 to Jun 2016 on 221 infants diagnosed with infections (positive blood, cerebrospinal fluid, or urine cultures, and radiographic evidence of lung infection as well as laboratory and clinical evidence of infection). Data collection tools consisted of a researcher-made questionnaire including maternal and neonatal characteristics and clinical and laboratory evaluation. Moreover, the infants were followed up until hospital discharge or death. Data were analyzed using SPSS-16.Results: The incidence of neonatal infection was 11.6%. About 70% of the infants were born preterm and 52% of the infected infants were born by cesarean. The most common pathogens of sepsis were gram-negative bacteria (55%), coagulase-negative staphylococci (35%) and other gram-positive bacteria (10%). There were three main causes of infection of central nervous system (CNS): Klebsiella (66%), Escherichia coli (17%), and Acinetobacter (17%). Infant mortality rate due to infection was 28.1%. The causes of death included meningitis (60%), sepsis (27%), and UTI (16%).Conclusion: According to our study, the prevalence of infection and mortality rate in our ward is higher compared to developed countries. The most common cause of infections was gram-negative bacteria, but coagulase-negative staphylococci become more prevalent and needs more attention
