Simple and Efficient Group Key Distribution Protocol using Matrices

    Get PDF
Group Key Distribution (GKD) protocols are designed to distribute a group key to several users for establishing a secure communication over a public network. The central trusted authority, called the key distribution center (KDC) is in charge of distributing the group keys. For securing the communication, all the users share a common secret key in advance with KDC. In this paper, we propose a secure and efficient Group Authenticated Key Distribution (GAKD) protocol based on the simple idea of encryption in matrix rings. In this protocol, each user registers in private with the KDC, while all the other information can be transferred publicly. The scheme also supports authentication of group keys without assuming computational hard problems such as Integer Factorization Problem (IFP).The analysis of our GAKD protocol shows that the proposed protocol is resistant to reply, passive and impersonation attacks. Our construction leads to a secure, cost and computation- effective GAKD protocol

AbstractPsychiatric disorders including anxiety, psychosis, and aggressive behaviors are frequently diagnosed in patients with epilepsy. In this communication, we report a patients with mesial temporal lobe sclerosis with interictal affective-somatoform (dysphoric) disorders who was never treated for psychiatric manifestations, and who deliberately took a massive dose of phenytoin and phenobarbitone with a motive of suicide, resulting in severe combined toxicity. Such unfortunate incidences may be prevented, and quality of life can be improved with early diagnosis, through the selection of the right antiepileptic drugs, reasonable psychiatric consultation, and appropriate biological and psychological treatments

BACKGROUND: India has experienced several waves of migration since the Middle Paleolithic. It is believed that the initial demic movement into India was from Africa along the southern coastal route, approximately 60,000–85,000 years before present (ybp). It has also been reported that there were two other major colonization which included eastward diffusion of Neolithic farmers (Elamo Dravidians) from Middle East sometime between 10,000 and 7,000 ybp and a southern dispersal of Indo Europeans from Central Asia 3,000 ybp. Mongol entry during the thirteenth century A.D. as well as some possible minor incursions from South China 50,000 to 60,000 ybp may have also contributed to cultural, linguistic and genetic diversity in India. Therefore, the genetic affinity and relationship of Indians with other world populations and also within India are often contested. In the present study, we have attempted to offer a fresh and immaculate interpretation on the genetic relationships of different North Indian populations with other Indian and world populations. RESULTS: We have first genotyped 20 tetra-nucleotide STR markers among 1800 north Indian samples of nine endogamous populations belonging to three different socio-cultural strata. Genetic distances (Nei's D(A )and Reynold's Fst) were calculated among the nine studied populations, Caucasians and East Asians. This analysis was based upon the allelic profile of 20 STR markers to assess the genetic similarity and differences of the north Indian populations. North Indians showed a stronger genetic relationship with the Europeans (D(A )0.0341 and F(st )0.0119) as compared to the Asians (D(A )0.1694 and F(st )– 0.0718). The upper caste Brahmins and Muslims were closest to Caucasians while middle caste populations were closer to Asians. Finally, three phylogenetic assessments based on two different NJ and ML phylogenetic methods and PC plot analysis were carried out using the same panel of 20 STR markers and 20 geo-ethnic populations. The three phylogenetic assessments revealed that north Indians are clustering with Caucasians. CONCLUSION: The genetic affinities of Indians and that of different caste groups towards Caucasians or East Asians is distributed in a cline where geographically north Indians and both upper caste and Muslim populations are genetically closer to the Caucasians

In an abnormal tissue called a brain tumor, the cells of the tumor reproduce quickly. if no control over tumor cell growth. The difficulties involved in identifying and treating brain tumors Machine learning is the most technologically sophisticated tool for classification and detection, implementing reliable state-of-the-art A.I. as well as neural network classification techniques, the use of this technology in early diagnosis detection of brain tumors can be accomplished successfully. it is well known that the segmentation method is capable of helping simply destroy the brain's abnormal tumor regions In order to segment and categorize brain tumors, this study suggests a multimodal approach involving machine learning and medical assistance. Noise can be seen in MRI images. To make the method for eliminating noise from images easier, a geometric mean is used later. The algorithms used to segment an image into smaller pieces are fuzzy c-means algorithms. Detection of a specific area of interest is made simpler by segmentation. The dimension reduction procedure is carried out using the GLCM. Photographic features are extracted using the GLCM algorithm. Then, using a variety of ML techniques, like as CNN, ANN, SVM, Gaussian NB, and Adaptive Boosting, the photos are categorized. The Gaussian NB method performs more effectively with regard to the identification and classification of brain tumors. The plasterwork work achieved 98.80 percent accuracy using GNB, RBF SVM

Environmental interventions and ecological adaptations harbor millions of valued substances and metabolites in plants which can be employed and commercialized for human benefits. Present study encompasses the untapped potential of pine needles of Indo-Himalayan region for the production of different metabolites and their pharmacological significance in terms of antioxidant and antimicrobial activity. Total phenolic and flavonoid content from the needles of ten pine species was quantified using three different solvent systems. Results revealed that out of 10 different selected Pinus species, Pinus taeda L. showed the highest concentration of total phenolics, Soluble-F phenolics and flavonoids content (approx. 147.02 mg/g, 141.08 mg/g and 21.91 mg/g, respectively) as compared to other species. On the other hand, Pinus greggii Engelm. ex Parl. showed the highest Bound-W phenolic content (approx. 3.62 mg/g). Among all the selected plant species, the needles of Pinus echinata Mill. exhibited the highest and Pinus thunbergii Parl. had the lowest ratio of total flavonoids to total phenolics. Most of these compounds were found to have effective antioxidant activities as well as antimicrobial activity, as estimated by oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) and disk diffusion test, respectively

Molecular Orientation and Anisotropic Charge Transport in the Large Area Thin Films of Regioregular Poly (3-alkylthiopnes) Fabricated by Ribbon-Shaped FTM

Introduction of alkyl chains is a plausible approach to impart the facile solution processability in regioregular (poly-3-alkylthiophenes) (RR-P3ATS) but drastic fall in the conductivity as a function of increasing alkyl chain length restricted the versatile use of its hexyl substituted derivative (P3HT). In this work, fabrication of large area oriented thin films of RR-P3ATs with varying alkyl chain lengths was successfully demonstrated using ribbon shaped floating film transfer method (FTM). Observed decrease in the molecular orientation with increasing alkyl chain length was explained by enhanced alkyl chain inter-digitation as evidenced by trends of d-spacing estimated from the out-of-plane XRD results. In-plane GIXD revealed edge-on orientation in the thin films of all of the P3ATs prepared by ribbon-shaped FTM, which is highly desired for planer charge carrier transport. Parallel oriented thin film of longest alkyl chain (octadecyl) substituted P3AT poly (3-octadecylthiophene) exhibited a field effect transistor (FET) mobility of 1.9 × 10−2 cm2/V, which is about 4–5 orders of magnitude higher as compared its previously reported values estimated by time-of-flight and FET methods. Thus, fabrication of thin films by FTM leads to versatile choice of RR-P3ATs for solution processing for FETs using common organic solvents without having any detrimental impact of alkyl chain length on the charge carrier mobility

Large area (>20 cm × 2 cm)-oriented thin films of PQT-C12 with varying molecular weight and polydispersity index (PDI) were fabricated by the ribbon-shaped floating film transfer method aiming toward their application as an active semiconductor element of organic field effect transistors (OFETs). Investigation on the influence of the molecular weight and PDI upon the extent of molecular alignment and anisotropic charge transport was systematically carried out. It has been demonstrated that high molecular weight in combination with low PDI not only leads to a very high optical anisotropy >10 but also high charge carrier anisotropy with a hole mobility of about 0.07 cm2/V·s for OFETs using parallel-oriented PQT-C12 thin films. Such a structure–property correlation is highly beneficial for the development of high performance organic electronic devices by synergistic and amicable tuning of the optoelectronic anisotropies and polymer synthetic variables
