Traversable Wormholes in Geometries of Charged Shells
We construct a static axisymmetric wormhole from the gravitational field of
two charged shells which are kept in equilibrium by their electromagnetic
repulsion. For large separations the exterior tends to the Majumdar-Papapetrou
spacetime of two charged particles. The interior of the wormhole is a
Reissner-Nordstr\"om black hole matching to the two shells. The wormhole is
traversable and connects to the same asymptotics without violation of energy
conditions. However, every point in the Majumdar-Papapetrou region lies on a

String Supported Wormhole Spacetimes and Causality Violations
We construct a static axisymmetric wormhole from the gravitational field of
two Schwarzschild particles which are kept in equilibrium by strings (ropes)
extending to infinity. The wormhole is obtained by matching two
three-dimensional timelike surfaces surrounding each of the particles and thus
spacetime becomes non-simply connected. Although the matching will not be exact
in general it is possible to make the error arbitrarily small by assuming that
the distance between the particles is much larger than the radius of the
wormhole mouths. Whenever the masses of the two wormhole mouths are different,

Learning from error: leading a culture of safety
A recent shift towards more collective leadership in the NHS can help to achievea culture of safety, particularly through encouraging frontline staff to participateand take responsibility for improving safety through learning from error andnear misses. Leaders must ensure that they provide psychological safety,organizational fairness and learning systems for staff to feel confident in raisingconcerns, that they have the autonomy and skills to lead continual improvement,and that they have responsibility for spreading this learning within and acrossorganizations
The Cosmic Censor Forbids Naked Topology
For any asymptotically flat spacetime with a suitable causal structure
obeying (a weak form of) Penrose's cosmic censorship conjecture and satisfying
conditions guaranteeing focusing of complete null geodesics, we prove that
active topological censorship holds. We do not assume global hyperbolicity, and
therefore make no use of Cauchy surfaces and their topology. Instead, we
replace this with two underlying assumptions concerning the causal structure:
that no compact set can signal to arbitrarily small neighbourhoods of spatial
infinity (``-avoidance''), and that no future incomplete null geodesic is
visible from future null infinity. We show that these and the focusing
condition together imply that the domain of outer communications is simply
connected. Furthermore, we prove lemmas which have as a consequence that if a
future incomplete null geodesic were visible from infinity, then given our
-avoidance assumption, it would also be visible from points of spacetime
that can communicate with infinity, and so would signify a true naked

Cathodoluminescence of Recent biogenic carbonates: environmental and ontogenetic fingerprint
Cathodoluminescence (CL) examination of Recent biogenic carbonates shows that they are often luminescent regardless of their mineralogical composition (calcite v. aragonite), habitat (marine v. fresh water), way of life (sessile v. vagile) or environment (hyper- v. hyposaline water). Thus, the presence of luminescence in biogenic particles is not a reliable indicator of diagenetic alteration as some authors have suggested. In addition, CL can reveal variations in the mineralogy of shell material (e.g. regenerated calcitic v. primary aragonitic) and can highlight growth-related structures. Manganese (Mn2+) is the most likely activator of this luminescence, and its content in the shells of benthic organisms seems to be linked to growth rate, ontogeny, open sea conditions, bathymetry and salinity. In neritic environments the Mn2+ content and the CL of molluscs and foraminifera appear to increase with decreasing salinity. This study indicates that CL may be an important tool for the determination of environmental and ontogenetic parameters in biogenic carbonates in addition to its current use indiagenetic studie

The main aim of this article is to present the influence of corporate culture on company's stakeholders. This paper signalises the tendency in corporate communication with its internal and external publics. It is focused on two issues: corporate social responsibility and employer branding. W artykule zasygnalizowane zostały główne tendencje wyznaczające charakter komunikacji między organizacją a jej wewnętrznym i zewnętrznym otoczeniem. Tekst koncentruje się na dwóch kwestiach: społecznej odpowiedzialności przedsiębiorstwa (corporate social responsibilty) i budowanie wizerunku pracodawcy (employer branding), które zaprezentowane zostały jako efekty określonego modelu kultury organizacyjnej
Psychological Safety and Norm Clarity in Software Engineering Teams
In the software engineering industry today, companies primarily conduct their
work in teams. To increase organizational productivity, it is thus crucial to
know the factors that affect team effectiveness. Two team-related concepts that
have gained prominence lately are psychological safety and team norms. Still,
few studies exist that explore these in a software engineering context.
Therefore, with the aim of extending the knowledge of these concepts, we
examined if psychological safety and team norm clarity associate positively
with software developers' self-assessed team performance and job satisfaction,
two important elements of effectiveness.
We collected industry survey data from practitioners (N = 217) in 38
development teams working for five different organizations. The result of
multiple linear regression analyses indicates that both psychological safety
and team norm clarity predict team members' self-assessed performance and job
satisfaction. The findings also suggest that clarity of norms is a stronger
(30\% and 71\% stronger, respectively) predictor than psychological safety.
This research highlights the need to examine, in more detail, the
relationship between social norms and software development. The findings of
this study could serve as an empirical baseline for such, future work.Comment: Submitted to CHASE'201
Etching of random solids: hardening dynamics and self-organized fractality
When a finite volume of an etching solution comes in contact with a
disordered solid, a complex dynamics of the solid-solution interface develops.
Since only the weak parts are corroded, the solid surface hardens
progressively. If the etchant is consumed in the chemical reaction, the
corrosion dynamics slows down and stops spontaneously leaving a fractal solid
surface, which reveals the latent percolation criticality hidden in any random
system. Here we introduce and study, both analytically and numerically, a
simple model for this phenomenon. In this way we obtain a detailed description
of the process in terms of percolation theory. In particular we explain the

Developing specialist leaders of education: a research engagement approach
There has been little research to date on the continuing professional
development needs of the several thousand Specialist Leaders of
Education (SLE) now designated by the National College for Teaching
and Leadership in England to work across schools as consultants on
school-to-school support. This case study reports on the second and
third stages of a four-stage research process designed to address these
needs. The
fi
rst stage reported on the creation of a professional devel-
opment framework for SLE
’
s using consultancy research. These middle
stages test out this framework with a stakeholder group of SLEs, head-
teachers and broker in a Teaching Schools Alliance. The fourth stage will
track the implementation of professional development activities arising
from these
fi
ndings. Apart from the speci
fi
c needs of SLE, this study will
have wider relevance for all practitioners and researchers working in and
with schools on leadership development using Research Engagement
strategies and Joint Practice Development approaches in a so-called
‘
self-
improving
’
school system
