Studies on gluon evolution and geometrical scaling in kinematic constrained unitarized BFKL equation: application to high-precision HERA DIS data

We suggest a modified form of a unitarized BFKL equation imposing the so-called kinematic constraint on the gluon evolution in multi-Regge kinematics. The underlying nonlinear effects on the gluon evolution are investigated by solving the unitarized BFKL equation analytically. We obtain an equation of the critical boundary between dilute and dense partonic system, following a new differential geometric approach and sketch a phenomenological insight on geometrical scaling. Later we illustrate the phenomenological implication of our solution for unintegrated gluon distribution f(x,kT2)f(x,k_T^2) towards exploring high precision HERA DIS data by theoretical prediction of proton structure functions (F2F_2 and FLF_L) as well as double differential reduced cross section (σr)(\sigma_r). The validity of our theory in the low Q2Q^2 transition region is established by studying virtual photon-proton cross section in light of HERA data

Mycoplasma and allied diseases of forest trees in India and vector-host-pathogen interactions

Mycoplasma and allied diseases of forest trees in India have been described, mlo disease has been intensively studied in ‘sandal’ (Santalum album L.). Other forest trees showing typicalmlo etiology are ‘toon’(Toona ciliata), Acacia catechu, A. mearnsii, Eucalyptus grand is and E. tereticornis. Disease symptoms, collateral hosts, transmission tests with possible insect vectors and vector biology have been described for sandal spike disease. Reasons for contradictory results for sandal spike vectors have been discussed and possible lines of vector search for woody plants are described. Vector-host-pathogen interactions have been reviewed. During the feeding process, phloem cells are punctured, torn and disturbed by vectors. The hypertrophy of the plant cells around the site of puncture is caused by the action of injected salivary secretion. Vector borne procaryotic disease pathogens multiply within the vectors and circulate through a sequence of tissues and organs of vectors when the latent period of pathogen is long. These initiate both harmful and beneficial interactions within the vector. Possible lines of research to fill up the existing lucunae for insect vectors of mycoplasma and allied diseases of forest trees and vector-host-pathogen interactions have been discussed

Dynamic Scaling in a 2+1 Dimensional Limited Mobility Model of Epitaxial Growth

We study statistical scale invariance and dynamic scaling in a simple solid-on-solid 2+1 - dimensional limited mobility discrete model of nonequilibrium surface growth, which we believe should describe the low temperature kinetic roughening properties of molecular beam epitaxy. The model exhibits long-lived ``transient'' anomalous and multiaffine dynamic scaling properties similar to that found in the corresponding 1+1 - dimensional problem. Using large-scale simulations we obtain the relevant scaling exponents, and compare with continuum theories.Comment: 5 pages, 4 ps figures included, RevTe

Quantum Hall Phase Diagram of Second Landau-level Half-filled Bilayers: Abelian versus Non-Abelian States

The quantum Hall phase diagram of the half-filled bilayer system in the second Landau level is studied as a function of tunneling and layer separation using exact diagonalization. We make the striking prediction that bilayer structures would manifest two distinct branches of incompressible fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) corresponding to the Abelian 331 state (at moderate to low tunneling and large layer separation) and the non-Abelian Pfaffian state (at large tunneling and small layer separation). The observation of these two FQHE branches and the quantum phase transition between them will be compelling evidence supporting the existence of the non-Abelian Pfaffian state in the second Landau level.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
