Future Satellite Navigation System Architecture System Performance

The Galileo project is currently finalizing its design and development phase with the related major segment CDR milestones that have been successfully passed for the Ground Mission Segment and the Test User Segment in 2008, and which will be finalized in 2009 for the Space Segment. With a start of the first Galileo IOV satellite in 2010, the second generation satellites have to be available at the beginning of 2020, thus enhancements on Galileo are currently already under detailed assessment.
