A momentum Space Analysis of the Triple Pomeron Vertex in pQCD
We study properties of the momentum space Triple Pomeron Vertex in
perturbative QCD. Particular attention is given to the collinear limit where
transverse momenta on one side of the vertex are much larger than on the other
side. We also comment on the kernels in nonlinear evolution equations.Comment: Minor misprints corrected. To be published in EPJ
The Process gamma* + p -> eta_c + X: A Test for the Perturbative QCD Odderon
The rates of inclusive photo- and electroproduction of the eta_c meson:
gamma* + p -> eta_c + X are calculated in the triple Regge region, integrated
over the diffractive mass X. For the Regge exchanges we use the hard Pomeron
and Odderon, both being calculated in the framework of perturbative QCD. The
integrated cross-section depends upon the coupling of the BFKL pomeron to two
odderons, and it is found to be of the order 60 pb for photoproduction
and 1.5 pb at Q^2=25 GeV^2.Comment: 19 pages, latex, 7 eps figure
Geometric Scaling in Inclusive Charm Production
We show that the cross section for inclusive charm production exhibits
geometric scaling in a large range of photon virtualities. In the HERA
kinematic domain the saturation momentum stays below the hard
scale , implying charm production probing mostly the color
transparency regime and unitarization effects being almost negligible. We
derive our results considering two saturation models which are able to describe
the DESY ep collider HERA data for the proton structure function at small
values of the Bjorken variable . A striking feature is the scaling on
above saturation limit, corroborating recent
theoretical studies.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures. Version to be published in Physical Review

Unifying approach to hard diffraction
We find a consistency between two different approaches of hard diffraction,
namely the QCD dipole model and the Soft Colour Interaction approach. A
theoretical interpretation in terms of S-Matrix and perturbative QCD properties
in the small regime is proposed.Comment: 4pages, 1 figure, letter submitted for publicatio
Testing the dynamics of high energy scattering using vector meson production
I review work on diffractive vector meson production in photon-proton
collisions at high energy and large momentum transfer, accompanied by proton
dissociation and a large rapidity gap. This process provides a test of the high
energy scattering dynamics, but is also sensitive to the details of the
treatment of the vector meson vertex.
The emphasis is on the description of the process by a solution of the
non-forward BFKL equation, i.e. the equation describing the evolution of
scattering amplitudes in the high-energy limit of QCD. The formation of the
vector meson and the non-perturbative modeling needed is also briefly
discussed.Comment: 17 pages, 8 figures. Brief review to appear in Mod. Phys. Lett.
Solution of the Odderon Problem
The intercept of the odderon trajectory is derived, by finding the spectrum
of the second integral of motion of the three reggeon system in high energy
QCD. When combined with earlier solution of the appropriate Baxter equation,
this leads to the determination of the low lying states of that system. In
particular, the energy of the lowest state gives the intercept of the odderon

Odderon in baryon-baryon scattering from the AdS/CFT correspondence
Based on the AdS/CFT correspondence, we present a holographic description of
various C-odd exchanges in high energy baryon-baryon and baryon-antibaryon
scattering, and calculate their respective contributions to the difference in
the total cross sections. We predict that, due to the warp factor of AdS_5, the
total cross section in pp collisions is larger than in p\bar{p} collisions at
asymptotically high energies.Comment: 23 pages, v2: minor changes, to be published in JHE
Direct solution of the hard pomeron problem for arbitrary conformal weight
A new method is applied to solve the Baxter equation for the one dimensional
system of noncompact spins. Dynamics of such an ensemble is equivalent to that
of a set of reggeized gluons exchanged in the high energy limit of QCD
amplitudes. The technique offers more insight into the old calculation of the
intercept of hard Pomeron, and provides new results in the odderon channel.Comment: Contribution to the ICHEP96 Conference, July 1996, Warsaw, Poland.

Cavity Enhanced Optical Vernier Spectroscopy, Broad Band, High Resolution, High Sensitivity
A femtosecond frequency comb provides a vast number of equidistantly spaced
narrow band laser modes that can be simultaneously tuned and frequency
calibrated with 15 digits accuracy. Our Vernier spectrometer utilizes all of
theses modes in a massively parallel manner to rapidly record both absorption
and dispersion spectra with a sensitivity that is provided by a high finesse
broad band optical resonator and a resolution that is only limited by the
frequency comb line width while keeping the required setup simple.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures, submitted to PR
