    Field induced magnetic transition and metastability in Co substituted Mn2SbMn_{2}Sb

    A detailed investigation of first order ferrimagnetic (FRI) to antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition in Co (15%) doped Mn2SbMn_2Sb is carried out. These measurements demonstrate anomalous thermomagnetic irreversibility and glass-like frozen FRI phase at low temperatures. The irreversibility arising between the supercooling and superheating spinodals is distinguised in an ingenious way from the irreversibility arising due to kinetic arrest. Field annealing measurements shows reentrant FRI-AFM-FRI transition with increasing temperature. These measurements also show that kinetic arrest band and supercooling band are anitcorrelated i.e regions which are kinetically arrested at higher temperature have lower supercooling temperature and vice versa.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figure

    Fiber Hamiltonians in the non-relativistic quantum electrodynamics

    A translation invariant Hamiltonian HH in the nonrelativistic quantum electrodynamics is studied. This Hamiltonian is decomposed with respect to the total momentum \tot: H=\int_{\BR} ^\oplus \fri(P) dP, where the self-adjoint fiber Hamiltonian \fri(P) is defined for arbitrary values of coupling constants. It is discussed a relationship between rotation invariance of H(P)H(P) and polarization vectors, and functional integral representations of nn point Euclidean Green functions of H(P)H(P) is given. From these, some applications concerning with degeneracy of ground states, ground state energy and expectation values of suitable observables with respect to ground states are given

    A hybrid framework for evaluating the performance of port container terminal operations: Moroccan case study

    This work intends to integrate artificial neural network (ANN) and data envelopment analysis (DEA) in a single framework to evaluate the performance of operations in the container terminal. The proposed framework is based on three steps. In the first step, a proposed identify the performance measures objectives and the indicators affecting the system. In the second step, the efficiency scores of the system are computed by using the Charnes Cooper and Rhodes (CCR) model (oriented inputs). In the last step, the Moth Search Algorithm (MSA) is employed as a new method for training the Feedforward Neural Network (FNN) to determine the efficiency scores.     The Landsberg erecta (Ler) accession of Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) has a weak allele of the floral inhibitor FLOWERING LOCUS C (FLC). FLC-Ler is weakly up-regulated by the active San Feliu-2 (Sf2) allele of FRIGIDA (FRI-Sf2), resulting in a moderately late-flowering phenotype. By contrast, the Columbia (Col) allele of FLC is strongly up-regulated by FRI-Sf2, resulting in a very late-flowering phenotype. In Col, the FRI-related gene FRI LIKE 1 (FRL1) is required for FRI-mediated upregulation of FLC. It is shown here that in Ler, the FRL1-related gene FRI LIKE 2 (FRL2), but not FRL1, is required for FRI-mediated up-regulation of FLC. FRL1-Ler is shown to be a nonsense allele of FRL1 due to a naturally occurring premature stop codon in the middle of the conceptual protein sequence, suggesting that FRL1-Ler is nonfunctional. Compared to FRL2-Col, FRL2-Ler has two amino acid changes in the conceptual protein sequence. Plants homozygous for FRI-Sf2, FLC-Ler, FRL1-Ler, and FRL2-Col have no detectable FLC expression, resulting in an extremely early flowering phenotype. Transformation of a genomic fragment of FRL2-Ler, but not of FRL2-Col, into a recombinant inbred line derived from these plants restores both FRI-mediated up-regulation of FLC expression and a late-flowering phenotype, indicating that FRL2-Ler is the functional allele of FRL2. Taken together, these results suggest that in the two different Arabidopsis accessions Col and Ler, either FRL1 or FRL2, but not both, is functional and required for FRI-mediated up-regulation of FLC

    The CoNFIG Catalogue - II. Comparison of Space Densities in the FR Dichotomy

    This paper focuses on a comparison of the space densities of FRI and FRII sources at different epochs, with a particular focus on FRI sources. First, we present the concluding steps in constructing the Combined NVSS-FIRST Galaxy catalogue (CoNFIG), including new VLA observations, optical identifications and redshift estimates. The final catalogue consists of 859 sources over 4 samples (CoNFIG-1, 2, 3 and 4 with flux density limits of S_1.4GHz = 1.3, 0.8, 0.2 and 0.05 Jy respectively). It is 95.7% complete in radio morphology classification and 74.3% of the sources have redshift data. Combining CoNFIG with complementary samples, the distribution and evolution of FRI and FRII sources are investigated. We find that FRI sources undergo mild evolution and that, at the same radio luminosity, FRI and FRII sources show similar space density enhancements in various redshift ranges, possibly implying a common evolution.Comment: 15 pages, 15 figures, 6 tables + appendix (80 pages). accepted in M.N.R.A.

    The lives of FR I radio galaxies

    After a brief introduction to the morphological properties of FRI radio sources, we discuss the possibility that FRI jets are relativistic at their bases and decelerate quickly to non-relativistic velocities. From two-frequency data we determine spectral index distributions and consequently the ages of FRI sources. We show that in the large majority of cases synchrotron theory provides unambiguous and plausible answers; in a few objects re-acceleration of electrons may be needed. The derived ages are of the order 10^7-10^8 years, 2-4 times larger than the ages inferred from dynamical arguments and a factor 5-10 larger than the ages of FRII sources. The linear sizes of FRI and FRII sources make it unlikely that many FRII's evolve into FRI's. Sampel yang digunakan murid kelas IV,V dan VI dengan tehniktotal sampling sebanyak 66 sampel. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui pengisiankuisioner oleh responden.Hasil: Hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan Spearman adalah terdapathubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan penerapan perilaku hidupbersih dan sehat (p value 0.006)Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan denganpenerapan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat

    FRESH – FRI-based single-image super-resolution algorithm

    In this paper, we consider the problem of single image super-resolution and propose a novel algorithm that outperforms state-of-the-art methods without the need of learning patches pairs from external data sets. We achieve this by modeling images and, more precisely, lines of images as piecewise smooth functions and propose a resolution enhancement method for this type of functions. The method makes use of the theory of sampling signals with finite rate of innovation (FRI) and combines it with traditional linear reconstruction methods. We combine the two reconstructions by leveraging from the multi-resolution analysis in wavelet theory and show how an FRI reconstruction and a linear reconstruction can be fused using filter banks. We then apply this method along vertical, horizontal, and diagonal directions in an image to obtain a single-image super-resolution algorithm. We also propose a further improvement of the method based on learning from the errors of our super-resolution result at lower resolution levels. Simulation results show that our method outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms under different blurring kernels

    RNA Levels and Activity of \u3cem\u3eFLOWERING LOCUS C\u3c/em\u3e are Modified in Mixed Genetic Backgrounds of \u3cem\u3eArabidopsis Thaliana\u3c/em\u3e

    Flowering time and FLOWERING LOCUS C (FLC) RNA levels were analyzed in different accessions of Arabidopsis thaliana and in mixed genetic backgrounds resulting from crosses between accessions. Dominant alleles of FRIGIDA (FRI) promote accumulation of FLC RNA, which in turn promotes late flowering. Although the coding regions of sequenced FLC alleles are identical, some accessions have genetically weak alleles that do not promote late flowering in the presence of FRI. In this study, a new weak allele of FLC with open reading frame identity to previously sequenced alleles was isolated from a Niederzenz (Nd) accession. The FLC‐Nd allele accumulated less RNA in the presence of FRI than did the strong Columbia (Col) allele. The weak FLC‐Nd allele was semidominant in the mixed Nd/Col genetic background containing FRI, and a linear correlation between the level of FLC RNA and lateness of flowering was observed. However, late‐flowering transgressions with elevated levels of FLC RNA in the absence of FRI were also obtained from crosses between early‐flowering accessions Col and Nd. Moreover, compared to Nd, the weak Landsberg erecta (Ler) allele of FLC was recessive and not semidominant in the mixed Ler/Col genetic background. However, very early‐flowering transgressions lacking detectable FLC RNA were also obtained from crosses between FRI containing Col and Ler. The results indicate that modifier genes other than FRI influence the level and genetic activity of FLC RNA in different genetic backgrounds resulting from crosses between naturally occurring accessions of A. thaliana
