An Inverse Approximation and Saturation Order for Kantorovich Exponential Sampling Series

In the present article, an inverse approximation result and saturation order for the Kantorovich exponential sampling series IwχI_{w}^{\chi} are established. First we obtain a relation between the generalized exponential sampling series SwχS_{w}^{\chi} and IwχI_{w}^{\chi} for the space of all uniformly continuous and bounded functions on R+.\mathbb{R}^{+}. Next, a Voronovskaya type theorem for the sampling series SwχS_{w}^{\chi} is proved. The saturation order for the series IwχI_{w}^{\chi} is obtained using the Voronovskaya type theorem. Further, an inverse result for IwχI_{w}^{\chi} is established for the class of log-H\"{o}lderian functions. Moreover, some examples of kernels satisfying the conditions, which are assumed in the hypotheses of the theorems, are discussed

Wetting Characteristics of Oleate Monolayers Adsorbed at Calcium Mineral Surfaces:a Molecuar Dynamics Study

    Get PDF
In this paper we present our Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations results on the wettability characteristics of the surfaces of three calcium minerals namely, fluorite, calcite and fluorapatite with an adsorbed oleate monolayer in the presence of water. The contact angle of water on these oleate-adsorbed mineral surfaces are computed and compared with experimental values available in the literature. The modeled adsorbed oleate monolayers on calcite (104), fluorite 11 1 1 ) and fluoroapatite (100) are packed so as to achieve the most favorable configuration, that is, 100%, 67% and 75% packing respectively

Investigation on physical and mechanical behaviour of A356 - x wt. % SiC/Gr hybrid composites

The experiments were planned to fabricate an A356 as a matrix material with 3, 6, 9, 12 wt. % of SiC and 3 wt. % of Gr as reinforcements to cast the hybrid composites at optimal process variable conditions using squeeze casting technique. Further T6 heat treated casted samples are prepared for testing as per standard procedure to record the responses like density, porosity, hardness, ultimate tensile strength, and percentage elongation respectively. There is a gradual increment in density because of adding an optimal level of up to 9 wt. % of SiC and 3 wt. % of Gr strengthening particles available in the A356 matrix and the porosity present in the sample diminishes, which in turn increases the hardness

Surface and Flotation Characteristics of Spodumene:A Molecular Modeling Approach

    Get PDF
Surface characteristics of spodumene [LiAl(SiO3)27 and aluminosilicates (feldspar [KA1Si3041 and muscovite IK2A14(A1257602a)(01-00 are modeled using molecular simulations. Surface energies are computed for various cleavage planes of these minerals and compared with those measured experi-mentally. Adsorption mechanisms of oleate collector on spodumene in the selective flotation of spodumene from these aluminosilicates are studied using molecular model-ing methods. Further, the wettability characteristics of spodumene are quantified by computing the contact angle of a drop of water on the adsorbed oleate layer. These simul-ated computed contact angles are compared with those measured experimentally
